  • Windows 8 Microsoft Account and Microsoft Store doesn't allow login

    - by Prabhpreet
    The problem is that I have to go through proxy here in college to make my internet work. When I signed with my live id to switch to the Microsoft account in Windows 8, it recognized and validate my security questions but says it cannot connect to Microsoft Services. All other apps like mail, messenger, etc. work except for the Windows Store. The windows store what apps are available but when installed, queues it up for a pending download. Is there a way to modify my proxy settings so that I can access both these features?

  • Using both domain users and local users for Squid authentication?

    - by Massimo
    I'm working on a Squid proxy which needs to authenticate users against an Active Directory domain; this works fine, Samba was correctly set up and Squid authenticates users via ntlm_auth. Relevant lines in squid.conf: auth_param ntlm program /usr/bin/ntlm_auth --helper-protocol=squid-2.5-ntlmssp auth_param ntlm children 5 auth_param ntlm keep_alive on acl Authenticated proxy_auth REQUIRED http_access allow Authenticated http_access deny all Now, I need a way to allow access to users which don't have a domain account. I know I could create an "internet user" account in the domain, but this would allow access, although limited, to domain resources (file shares, etc.); I need something that will allow only Internet access. The ideal solution would be using a local account on the proxy server, either a Linux account or a Squid one; I know Squid supports this, but I'm unable to have it use both domain authentication and Squid/local authentication if domain auth is unsuccesful. Can this be done? How?

  • Looking for Fiddler2 help. connection to gateway refused...just got rid of a virus?

    - by john mackey
    I use Fiddler2 for facebook game items, and it's been a great success. I accessed a website to download some dat files I needed. I think it was eshare, ziddu or megaupload, one of those. Anyway, even before the rar file had downloaded, I got this weird green shield in the bottom right hand corner of my computer. It said a Trojan was trying to access my computer, or something to that extent. It prompted me to click the shield to begin anti-virus scanning. It turns out this rogue program is called Antivirus System Pro and is pretty hard to get rid of. After discovering the rogue program, I tried using Fiddler and got the following error: [Fiddler] Connection to Gateway failed. Exception Text: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:5555 I ended up purchasing SpyDoctor + Antivirus, which I'm told is designed specifically for getting rid of these types of programs. Anyway, I did a quick-scan last night with spydoctor and malware bytes. Malware picked up 2 files, and Spydoctor found 4. Most were insignificant, but it did find a worm called Worm.Alcra.F, which was labeled high-priority. I don’t know if that’s the Anti-Virus Pro or not, but SpyDoctor said it got rid of all of those successfully. I tried to run Fiddler again before leaving home, but was still getting the "gateway failed" error. Im using the newest version of firefox. When I initially set up the Fiddler 2.2.8.6, I couldn’t get it to run at first, so I found this faq on the internet that said I needed to go through ToolsOptionsSettings and set up an HTTP Proxy to 127.0.0.1 and my Port to 8888. Once I set that up and downloaded this fiddler helper as a firefox add-on, it worked fine. When I turn on fiddler, it automatically takes my proxy setting from no proxy (default) to the 127.0.0.1 with Port 8888 set up. It worked fine until my computer detected this virus. Anyway, hopefully I've given you sufficient information to offer me your best advice here. Like I said, Spydoctor says the bad stuff is gone, so maybe the rogue program made some type of change in my fiddler that I could just reset or uncheck or something like that? Or will I need to completely remove fiddler and those dat files and rar files I downloaded? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

  • ob_start() is partially capturing data

    - by AAA
    I am using the following code: PHP: // Generate Guid function NewGuid() { $s = strtoupper(uniqid(rand(),true)); $guidText = substr($s,0,8) . '-' . substr($s,8,4) . '-' . substr($s,12,4). '-' . substr($s,16,4). '-' . substr($s,20); return $guidText; } // End Generate Guid $Guid = NewGuid(); $alphabet = '123456789abcdefghijkmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZ'; function base_encode($num, $alphabet) { $base_count = strlen($alphabet); $encoded = ''; while ($num >= $base_count) { $div = $num/$base_count; $mod = ($num-($base_count*intval($div))); $encoded = $alphabet[$mod] . $encoded; $num = intval($div); } if ($num) $encoded = $alphabet[$num] . $encoded; return $encoded; } function base_decode($num, $alphabet) { $decoded = 0; $multi = 1; while (strlen($num) > 0) { $digit = $num[strlen($num)-1]; $decoded += $multi * strpos($alphabet, $digit); $multi = $multi * strlen($alphabet); $num = substr($num, 0, -1); } return $decoded; } ob_start(); echo base_encode($Guid, $alphabet); //should output: bUKpk $theid = ob_get_contents(); ob_get_clean(); The problem: When i echo $theid, it shows the complete entry, but as it is being inserted into the database, only the first entry in the sequence gets inserted, for example for the entry buKPK, only 'b' is being inserted not the rest.

  • Squid "system returned (13) Permission denied"

    - by AndyM
    I can get to a site form my Squid server directly using lynx http://my-URL , ie not using squid as the proxy, just to prove the connectivity exists. Lynx connects fine to the site - its a Weblogic portal When I try the same site from client with the squid machine as a proxy I get a squid error indicating that the destination site refused the connection from Squid. The squid server is a RHEL5.5 server. The error is something like The following error was encountered: Connection Failed The systen returned: (13) Permission denied Any ideas ? The squid access.log just indicates a TCP_MISS. Its as if the destinatin site knows its been accessed by squid and is not allowing ?

  • How to do complex port forwarding (sort of)

    - by adnan kamili
    I have a very different situation. My laptop named A, another machine B(ip-172.16.28.3) with ssh server installed and i have an account on that machine, the third machine C(ip-172.16.24.3) is a proxy server. All the machines are within a LAN, but 1- Machine B can connect to A as well as C 2- Machine A i.e.my pc, it can only connect to B and not C Now to use internet, i do the following: ssh -X [email protected] Then i type firefox and i use the firefox of machine B with proxy setings as 172.16.24.3:3128 Instead of using firefox of B, i want to use my local firefox. Is there a way through which i can connect to C via B and use my local firefox for browsing

  • Added autossh in rc.local, but the dynamic port forwarding won't work

    - by rankjie
    I am using Rasbian on my newly arrived Rasp.Pi, and decided to make it my own proxy server. Now I need to set up a ssh tunnel on the Pi to my Linode server, and make it auto start with the system. What did I do: Add this line to /etc/rc.local autossh -f theRemoteServer -N -D 5555 -L 1234:localhost:22 After I reboot, I found out that I can't use the localhost:5555 as a socks proxy. So I type the command ps -A | grep ssh then I can see the autossh and ssh all running: pi@raspberrypi ~ $ ps -A | grep ssh 2018 ? 00:00:00 sshd 2116 ? 00:00:00 autossh 2119 ? 00:00:00 sshd 2195 ? 00:00:00 sshd 3173 ? 00:00:00 ssh (I've installed autossh, and the command works if I type it manually.) (I use the passwordless key auth, so I don't have to enter password.) Much appreciated and sorry for my poor English.

  • auth.getSession not working

    - by dC
    hi all, i am having troubles with calling auth.getSession in my proxy. It is being called from a iPhone connect client. When the proxy URL is invocated from the iphone, FB returns a 100 invalid parameter error to the proxy. However the 2nd attempt from iPhone yields success. Both times the proxy is doing the same code, only the auth_token is different. Doing a good search, shows that this is a problematic method. I have tried everything in code and even called in a iPhone expert to see if the problem is on the iPhone client. I have concentrated my efforts on the java api being the problem, however i believe the problem lies else where. I have done the following checked and tested java code checked and test iphone code checked FB application settings. any help is most appreciated. ------Here is my java code.--------- String api_secret = FacebookProperty.getString(FacebookConstants.PROPERTY_API_SECRET); String api_key = FacebookProperty.getString(FacebookConstants.PROPERTY_API_KEY); String call_back_url = FacebookProperty.getString(FacebookConstants.PROPERTY_CALLBACK_URL); int connectTimeout = 200000; //use the xml helper // Make sure the user is logged in to Facebook String authToken = request.getParameter("auth_token"); log.info( "FACEBOOK: auth_token?: " + authToken ); Map<String, Object> model = new HashMap<String, Object>(); model.put(FacebookConstants.MODEL_WELCOME_SELECTED, true); FacebookXmlRestClient facebookRestClient = new FacebookXmlRestClient(api_key, api_secret); boolean generateSessionSecret = true; //always true of connect client try{ facebookRestClient.setConnectTimeout(connectTimeout ); String authSessionKey = facebookRestClient.auth_getSession(authToken, true); } catch (Exception e) { log.log( Level.SEVERE, e.toString()); log.log( Level.SEVERE, e.getMessage()); } String rawResponse = facebookRestClient.getRawResponse(); log.info( rawResponse ); -------the iphone code is ----------- session = [FBSession sessionForApplication:myApiKey getSessionProxy:myURL delegate:self]; -----------the error is -------------- <error_response xmlns="http://api.facebook.com/1.0/" xmlns:xsi="http:// www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http:// api.facebook.com/1.0/ http://api.facebook.com/1.0/facebook.xsd"> <error_code>100</error_code> <error_msg>Invalid parameter</error_msg> <request_args list="true"> <arg> <key>api_key</key> <value>bf22a0512c8558a1656d73160507460b</value> </arg> <arg> <key>auth_token</key> <value>fcd1e597aca5c9ba43875cdd01221be5</value> </arg> <arg> <key>call_id</key> <value>1269066988055</value> </arg> <arg> <key>format</key> <value>xml</value> </arg> <arg> <key>generate_session_secret</key> <value>true</value> </arg> <arg> <key>method</key> <value>facebook.auth.getSession</value> </arg> <arg> <key>sig</key> <value>e9f477fd72adf74cd2de72528fd9aa72</value> </arg> <arg> <key>v</key> <value>1.0</value> </arg> </request_args> </error_response>

  • Funnelling http traffic

    - by spencer p
    I have a situation where a large batch of servers (X), on demand, need to request data from a smaller set of web servers (Y). The worst case scenario is if all servers in X decide to fetch different requests to one server in Y. That would be X amount of connections, which could be a very large burst of traffic. The best case scenario is if 1 server in X hit 1 server in Y in tandem. Life does not work like this. One idea to entertain is placing a proxy, similar to squid between X and Y. All of X servers can connect to this proxy, but would result in a few persistent (http keepalive) connections to Y. If The few were say, 3 or 4, then it would funnel. If we could then rate limit those connections and traffic decides to spike unusually high, we wouldn't hurt anyone but ourselves. Thoughts?

  • Outlook Anywhere remote https connection issue

    - by holian
    We have SBS 2003, and we use DYNDNS. We forward dyndns address 443 to local server ip 443 port. mycompany.dyndns.org:443 -- server.mycompany.local:443 In android phone i can check my mails with Outlook Active Snyc. From remote machine i can check my mails in owa (https://mycompany.dyndns.org/exchange) But i can't set up outlook 2013 to remote connect. I installed server.mycompany.local to remote machine trusted cert container, but i got error message: "There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate. The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the target site. Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server. (Error Code 10)" Is it possible to connect exchange, via dnydns? Whats the problem? Thank you

  • How to debug problems in Linux kernel module `init()`?

    - by Kimvais
    I am using remote (k)gdb to debug a problem in a module that causes a panic when loaded e.g. when init() is called. The stack trace just shows that do_one_initcall(mod->init) causes the crash. In order to get the symbol file loaded in the gdb, I need to get the address of the module text section, and to get that I need to get the module loaded. Because the insmod in busybox (1.16.1) doesn't support -m so I'm stuck to grep modulename /proc/modules + adding the offset from nm to figure out the address. So I'm facing a sort a of a chicken and an egg problem here - to be able to debug the module loading, I need to get the module loaded - but in order to get the module loaded, I need to debug the problem... So I am currently thinking about two options - is there a way to get the address information either: by printk() in the module init code by printk() somewhere in the kernel code all this prior to calling the mod->init() - so I could place a breakpoint there, load the symbol file, hit c and see it crash and burn...

  • Javascript CS-PRNG - 64-bit random

    - by Jack
    Hi, I need to generate a cryptographically secure 64-bit unsigned random integer in Javascript. The first problem is that Javascript only allows 64-bit signed integers, so 9223372036854775808 is the biggest supported integer without going into floating point use I think? To fix this I can use a big number library, no problem. My Method: var randNum = SHA256( randBigInt(128, 0) ) % 2^64; Where SHA256() is a secure hash function and randBigInt() is defined below as a non-crypto PRNG, im giving it a 128bit seed so brute force shouldn't be a problem. randBigInt(n,s) //return an n-bit random BigInt (n>=1). If s=1, then the most significant of those n bits is set to 1. Is this a secure method to generate a cryptographically secure 64-bit random int? And importantly does taking the 2^64 mod guarantee 100% I have a 64-bit number? An abstract example, say this number is prime (it isn't i know), I will use it in the Galois Field [2^p], where p must be 64bits so that every possible 1-63bit number is a field element. In this query, my random int must be larger than any 63-bit number. And Im not sure im correct in taking the 2^64 mod of a 256bit hash output. Thanks (hope that makes sense)

  • Are there any libraries for parsing "number expressions" like 1,2-9,33- in Java

    - by mihi
    Hi, I don't think it is hard, just tedious to write: Some small free (as in beer) library where I can put in a String like 1,2-9,33- and it can tell me whether a given number matches that expression. Just like most programs have in their print range dialogs. Special functions for matching odd or even numbers only, or matching every number that is 2 mod 5 (or something like that) would be nice, but not needed. The only operation I have to perform on this list is whether the range contains a given (nonnegative) integer value; more operations like max/min value (if they exist) or an iterator would be nice, of course. What would be needed that it does not occupy lots of RAM if anyone enters 1-10000000 but the only number I will ever query is 12345 :-) (To implement it, I would parse a list into several (min/max/value/mod) pairs, like 1,10,0,1 for 1-10 or 11,33,1,2 for 1-33odd, or 12,62,2,10 for 12-62/10 (i. e. 12, 22, 32, ..., 62) and then check each number for all the intervals. Open intervals by using Integer.MaxValue etc. If there are no libs, any ideas to do it better/more efficient?)

  • CMD Prompt > FTP Size Command

    - by Samuel Baldus
    I'm developing a PHP App on IIS 7.5, which uses PHP FTP commands. These all work, apart from ftp_size(). I've tested: cmd.exe > ftp host > username > password > SIZE filename = Invalid Command However, if I access the FTP site through an Internet Browser, the filesize is displayed. Do I need to install FTP Extensions, and if so, which ones and where do I get them? Here is the PHP Code: <?php // FTP Credentials $ftpServer = "www.domain.com"; $ftpUser = "username"; $ftpPass = "password"; // Unlimited Time set_time_limit(0); // Connect to FTP Server $conn = @ftp_connect($ftpServer) or die("Couldn't connect to FTP server"); // Login to FTP Site $login = @ftp_login($conn, $ftpUser, $ftpPass) or die("Login credentials were rejected"); // Set FTP Passive Mode = True ftp_pasv ($conn, true); // Build the file list $ftp_nlist = ftp_nlist($conn, "."); // Alphabetical sorting sort($ftp_nlist); // Display Output foreach ($ftp_nlist as $raw_file) { // Get the last modified time $mod = ftp_mdtm($conn, $raw_file); // Get the file size $size = ftp_size($conn, $raw_file); // Size is not '-1' => file if (!(ftp_size($conn, $raw_file) == -1)) { //output as file echo "Filename: $raw_file<br />"; echo "FileSize: ".number_format($size, '')."Kb</br>"; echo "Last Modified: ".date("d/m/Y H:i", $mod)."</br>"; } } ?>

  • Round date to 10 minutes interval

    - by Peter Lang
    I have a DATE column that I want to round to the next-lower 10 minute interval in a query (see example below). I managed to do it by truncating the seconds and then subtracting the last digit of minutes. WITH test_data AS ( SELECT TO_DATE('2010-01-01 10:00:00', 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') d FROM dual UNION SELECT TO_DATE('2010-01-01 10:05:00', 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') d FROM dual UNION SELECT TO_DATE('2010-01-01 10:09:59', 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') d FROM dual UNION SELECT TO_DATE('2010-01-01 10:10:00', 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') d FROM dual UNION SELECT TO_DATE('2099-01-01 10:00:33', 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') d FROM dual ) -- #end of test-data SELECT d, TRUNC(d, 'MI') - MOD(TO_CHAR(d, 'MI'), 10) / (24 * 60) FROM test_data And here is the result: 01.01.2010 10:00:00    01.01.2010 10:00:00 01.01.2010 10:05:00    01.01.2010 10:00:00 01.01.2010 10:09:59    01.01.2010 10:00:00 01.01.2010 10:10:00    01.01.2010 10:10:00 01.01.2099 10:00:33    01.01.2099 10:00:00 Works as expected, but is there a better way? EDIT: I was curious about performance, so I did the following test with 500.000 rows and (not really) random dates. I am going to add the results as comments to the provided solutions. DECLARE t TIMESTAMP := SYSTIMESTAMP; BEGIN FOR i IN ( WITH test_data AS ( SELECT SYSDATE + ROWNUM / 5000 d FROM dual CONNECT BY ROWNUM <= 500000 ) SELECT TRUNC(d, 'MI') - MOD(TO_CHAR(d, 'MI'), 10) / (24 * 60) FROM test_data ) LOOP NULL; END LOOP; dbms_output.put_line( SYSTIMESTAMP - t ); END; This approach took 03.24 s.

  • MySQL help, counting information on last records

    - by ee12csvt
    I need some advice I have two tables, one holds unique serial numbers of items (items) and the other holds status changes and other information for these items (details) The Tables are set up as follows Item itemID itemName itemDate details detID itemID modlvl status detDate All items have at least one record in the details table, but over time the status has changed or the modification level has changed (Both of these are identified by numbers which are held in other appropriate tables) and a new record is created each time the status/modlvl changes I want to display a table on my webpage using php that identifies the different mod levels of the items and shows a count of each of the current status of the items EDIT Hi Ronnis, This is an example of the data in the tables and what I want to achieve The current Mod Levels range from 1 to 3 Status representations are 1 In Use 2 In Store 3 Being repaired 4 In Transit 5 For Disposal 6 Disposed 7 Lost Item itemID OrigMod created 1000 1 2009-10-01 22:12:12 1001 1 2009-10-01 22:12:12 1002 1 2009-10-01 22:12:12 1003 1 2009-10-01 22:12:12 1004 1 2009-10-01 22:12:12 1005 1 2009-10-01 22:12:12 1006 1 2009-10-01 22:12:12 1007 1 2009-10-01 22:12:12 1008 1 2009-10-01 22:12:12 1009 1 2009-10-01 22:12:12 1010 1 2009-10-01 22:12:12 Details detID itemID modlvl detDate status 1 1000 1 2009-10-01 1 2 1001 1 2009-10-01 1 3 1002 1 2009-10-01 1 4 1003 1 2009-10-01 1 5 1004 1 2009-10-01 1 6 1005 1 2009-10-01 1 7 1006 1 2009-10-01 1 8 1007 1 2009-10-01 1 9 1008 1 2009-10-01 1 10 1009 1 2009-10-01 1 11 1010 1 2009-10-01 1 12 1001 1 2010-02-01 2 13 1001 1 2010-02-03 4 14 1001 1 2010-03-01 3 15 1000 1 2010-03-14 2 16 1001 2 2010-04-01 4 17 1006 1 2010-04-01 2 18 1001 2 2010-04-03 2 19 1006 1 2010-04-14 4 20 1006 1 2010-05-01 5 21 1002 1 2010-05-02 2 22 1003 1 2010-05-10 2 23 1010 1 2010-06-01 2 24 1006 1 2010-06-18 6 25 1010 1 2010-07-01 7 26 1007 1 2010-07-02 2 27 1007 1 2010-07-04 4 28 1003 1 2010-07-10 2 29 1007 1 2010-07-11 3 30 1007 2 2010-07-12 4 31 1007 2 2010-07-15 2 32 1001 2 2010-08-31 1 33 1001 2 2010-09-10 2 34 1001 2 2010-10-01 4 35 1008 1 2010-10-01 2 36 1001 2 2010-10-05 3 37 1008 1 2010-10-05 4 38 1008 1 2010-10-10 3 39 1001 3 2010-10-20 4 40 1001 3 2010-10-25 2 Using the tables above I want to get this result MoLvl Use Store Repd Transit Displ Dispd Lost Total 1 3 3 1 0 0 1 1 9 2 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 1 3 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 1 Total 3 5 1 0 0 1 1 11

  • Remove Windows 7's limitation on number of concurrent tcp connections (http web requests)

    - by Ghita
    I have an application that tries to open as many http requests as possible (in order to stress test a proxy implementation) It seems to me that Win7 (SP1) may have a limitation on number of concurrent opened connection (it may be the so called half-open state if I'm not wrong). Is there something I can do for client ? and also I test using a vista PC that acts as a proxy server. It would be great if I could configure it to sustain at least 50 new connections initiated / second on client side and many more on server. I made the modification according to this technet article by setting TcpNumConnections = 150 but it doesn't make a difference. I still only see about 20 tcp sockets associated with my http client by using tcpview.

  • just another apache to nginx rewrite question

    - by Brandon
    I have the following Apache rewrite directives: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/proxy(/|$) [NC] RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (^|&)uri=(.*?)(&|$) [NC] RewriteRule .* /api/vs1.0/%2 [NC,L] And I'm trying out nginx, so trying to move the rewrites over. I came up with... rewrite ^/proxy(/|$) /api/vs1.0/$2 last; rewrite (^|&)uri=(.*?)(&|$) /api/vs1.0/$2 last; Which is probably grossly incorrect. I'm just a mere web developer, so I was wondering if anyone could lend a hand here. I would be much obliged. I see that I am ignoring the query string specification, but I'm thinking that it shouldn't matter. I only have a vague idea of what the original rewrite is accomplishing, so I haven't much hope here in coming up with something decent, despite reading the relevant documentation for both servers.

  • Can't access to access to my web server inside a network with Firewall on

    - by ianenri
    I set up a Web server with the following: There is the Internet Router, configured to Port Foward port 80 to my computer assigned to my PC's IP: 192.168.1.128 My PC is connected to that wireless router from wlan0 Then, my PC is also connected to my device (which is the webserver) with a crossover-cable usign eth0 having this anohter IP: 10.42.43.1 Finally, my device (the webserver) is connected with eth0 with this IP: 10.42.43.55 As you can see, I need to install a reverse-proxy to be able to resolve to my device's webserver. I installed pound (proxy server) in my PC and configured properly to make 192.168.1.128 resolve to 10.42.43.55 So, I just typing my ISP provided IP 200.x.x.x resolves to my device webserver. But there's a problem: I HAD TO STOP MY FIREWALL. I don't know how I need exactly configure the firewall in SUSE YAST2, or at least iptables. Stopping it is not an option, not for security reasons, just because there's port fowarding rule that is needed to give Internet access to my device too. I'm using openSUSE 12.1
