  • Sending emails with Thunderbird + Postfix + Zarafa does not work

    I installed zarafa on my vserver and use as MTA postfix. The webaccess works fine, I can revceive and send emails, also receiving mails with thunderbird (IMAP ssl/tls) works. But there is a problem, sending emails with thunderbird. I established an account in thunderbird with imap ssl/tls connection which works finde, and a starttls smtp connection on port 25 for the outgoing mail server.     My Win 7 computer locked up, so I shut it down (holding down the power button till it shut off). Logging back on, I got an error message that it couldn't load my profile (like I'm entering the wrong password). I logged on the guest account, but can't change anything because it won't accept my password. Is this a serious problem or do I just need to reset the password with one of the options available on your site?

  • Why doesn't this Firefox bookmark keyword work?

    I have the keyword bookmark it's the same location as another one with a different keyword which works. I type google test and it takes me to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=test, but I type g test and it takes me to the first result from I'm feeling luck as if there were no bookmark keyword there at all. Firefox 3.6 on Windows Vista.

  • Work around for yahoo mail slowness (using 100% cpu)

    My yahoo mail is very slow sometimes. When it is, I notice that IE8 is using 100% cpu. Using sysinternals process explorer I discovered the thread using all the cpu in IE8 has Flash in the stackwalk. I upgraded flash from 9 to 10, but the problem persists. I'm about to edit hosts to block the flash content by redirecting the yahoo and ad click dns entries. Is there some easier way to get flash to behave? The fix for the long run will be switching to gmail.

    I have VPS running Debian 5.0 (I think) and I would like to get it to run PHP files. I was told it needed to be configured with Apache. I tried entering the command apt-get install apache2 php5 libapache2-mod-php5. But there was no change.     I am using a local DHCP and DNS server on my home network on a linux machine. It is running CentOS 6.3 with dnsmasq 2.48. It's all working fine except for local DNS lookups for Windows machines only. I have a mix of Ubuntu, CentOS and Windows machines on the network, some virtual, some physical.   • Drupal / ubercart remote node addition

    I am developing my first large Ubercart site, which needs to have a daily product database update from an existing xBase (DBF format). The conversion from DBF to MySQL/PHP is handled on the same server as the Drupal installation, using some custom scripting I have done, and works well. However, the next step is to get my script to talk to Drupal and update the product nodes with pricing/stock level/etc. Googling hasn't resulted in any good hits, at least in PHP terms. So how do I go about this? Can I just use a POST to a particular page in Drupal, ie RESTful, or do I have to use some more arcane xmlrpc method?

    I am the administrator for a forum,The Vortex. It operates on the latest version of MyBB ver1.6.3. I would like to know how I can get OpenID to become the login for the forums, and also add the users to the MyBB Sql file and overwrite any users that are already registered. This must work on an existing install as I will not be dumping my SQL database to do a fresh install just to get OpenId to work. Any Thought?

  • windvd aacs keys update dosn't work

    A relative has a viao htpc, which has blue ray. The player I believe is a viao branded version of windvd with blue ray support. Every time it loads it asks if it should update the aacs keys as they are out of date. If you select yes nothing happens. The package just sits there forever saying that you shouldn't turn it off. I have tried to go to the products website (which is now corel) registering and downloading the keys, but the key download page does nothing. Has anyone had a similar problem, or are there any suggestions to get around it?

  • Will Software RAID And iSCSI Work For A SAN

    I am looking for a SAN solution, but can't afford even entry level solutions. Basically, the SAN is for development and a proof of concept product. The performance doesn't have to be amazing, but needs to be functional. My buddy says we should just setup sotware RAID and software iSCSI in Linux. Essentially I have a spare server with dual Xeon processors, 4GB of memory, and (2) 500GB 7200RPM drives. It's a bit old but working. I am sure there is reason people don't do software RAID and iSCSI, but will performance be usable? Thinking of configuring the drives in RAID 0 (for performance).

And in the Ubuntu 10.04 repositories, I found a "moonlight-plugin-mozilla" package, but not "moonlight-plugin-chrome" (or similar). Is there any way to do this, or does Moonlight not yet run in Chrome?

The software installs OK and the drivers, it sees the Tocco Lite when connected but will not actually connect! error message can't change mode or can't connect as "no response from the device because it is in the initializing stage.   • I can't do a Remote Assistance session to a Windows XP box from Windows 7.

    My Mom's computer is running Windows XP, and my desktop running Windows 7. She's having some technical issue, so I want to do a Remote Assistance session to her machine. However, no matter what I've tried, the Remote Assistance program doesn't connect successfully. I've verified that the Windows Firewall (on both my and her machines) is configured properly to allow Remote Assistance program to go through. What's interesting is that I have the same problem when I try to do Remote Assistance from my desktop to my laptop, which is also running Windows XP. However, when I try to connect to my girlfriend's machine, which is runninng Windows 7 this time, the connection is successful. So in the end, I guess there must be some incompability between Windows 7 and Windows XP. Does anyone experience the same issue? How did you resolve it?

    The documentation claims that I can add aliases in a file (like /etc/postfix/virtusertable) and then use the "virtual_maps" directive to point to it. This does not appear to be working, however. My mail is bouncing with: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table; If I mail the user from the server using the mail command, it works. mail myuser The message goes through postfix and inserts itself in the Cyrus inbox correctly.     I opened port 25374, this is eMule TCP port, then I use canyouseeme.org to check if it is really opened. I got the weird problem : when eMule is running, canyouseeme.org see my port. I got the message : "Success: I can see your service on xxx.xx.xxx.xx on port (25374) Your ISP is not blocking port 25374" When I close eMule then check the port again on canyouseeme.org I got : Error: I could not see your service on xxx.xx.xxx.xx on port (25374) Reason: Connection timed out But when I turn off the windows firewall I got a different error : Error: I could not see your service on xxx.xx.xxx.xx on port (25374) Reason: Connection refused Can anyone please explain to me why it happened like that and how to make the port always opened ?
