    Hello I am trying to use django-socialauth (http://github.com/uswaretech/Django-Socialauth) for authenticating users for my django project. This is firs time working with openid and i've had to figure out how exactly this open id works. I have more or less understood it, by now, but there are few things that elude me. The authentication process starts when the request is put together in in django-socialauth.openid_consumer.views.begin.     I have a master page which references a style in the following manner: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../../Content/Style.css" /> All my pages inherit from this master page. And this works well when the URL is http://www.domain.com/home/details/5, however the URL is http://www.domain.com/home/create, then, of course, Style.css cannot be found because `../../Content/Style.css' resolves to a directory one higher where there is nothing there. How is this typically handled?

    Hello community, i have the following problem sometimes my openURL-Dialog works perfectly, then i looked at the variable from the url and that is the variable: www.brehm-gmbh.de but some other times there are some crazy elements at the end of the variable like this: www.adamczyk-fenster.de%E2%80%8E i get this pages from an .asc file and both are in this file normal without this elements, what can i do to solve this problem? thank you all for helping beforehand

    Found two libraries Rebex (www.rebex.net) and QuikSoft (www.quiksoft.com) any comments on these based on experience or other ones I havent not found? Looking for components that will use SMTP to send a lot of emails for general email notificatins and bulk mailshots. Built in templating would be nice. Also need to receive emails from various accounts. Having the ability to validate and check bounce backs etc would be good for reporting (appreciating that this isnt 100% effective)

  • Problem deploying Rails with Passenger to Mac OS X Leopard Server

    I'm spinning my wheels... Apache is working and serving static html, png, etc. normally. Trying to get Passenger to serve a rails app out of www.mydomain.com/rails/ as it stands when i try to hit my app: www.mydomain.com/rails/myapp/railsclassname I get only an Apache 403 Errors. Nothing in myapp's Production Log. Apache2 access.log: "GET /rails/ HTTP/1.1" 403 1085 Apache2 error.log: [Fri Jun 11 22:44:01 2010] [error] [client 10.0.1.41] File does not exist: /Library/WebServer/wwwroot/rails/railsclassname i've even tried www.mydomain.com/myapp/classname Passenger, obviously, isn't routing requests made into my sub-folder rails/ to my rails app. not sure where i've screwed up. the most obvious thing is "Passenger doesn't seem to be running"... instructions I've followed just say to sudo apachectl graceful, which i've done (as well as stopped/started). new to this so go easy on me! Here's some info that might be helpful. happy to provide more as needed...   • Using open-uri how can I get the contents of a redirecting page?

    I ultimately want to get data from this page: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/track/personal/findByTrackNumber?trackingNumber=0656887000494793 But that page forwards to: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/track/personal/findByTrackNumber?execution=eXs1 So when I use open (open-uri) to try and fetch the data, it throws a RuntimeError error saying HTTP redirection loop: So I'm not really sure how to get that data after it redirects and throws that error.

For instance you have a member and he/she tries to change the personal settings and you redirected member to www.domain.com/member/change/member_id member changed the values and post the data to another page by changing the action with firebug or something else. For instance www.domain.com/member/change/member_id_2 How do you handle this problem without using sessions?

  • PHP parsing invalid html

    hi , i'm trying to parse some html that is not on my server $dom = new DOMDocument(); $dom->loadHTMLfile("http://www.some-site.org/page.aspx"); echo $dom->getElementById('his_id')->item(0); but php returns an error something like ID his_id already defined in http://www.some-site.org/page.aspx, line: 33. I think that is because DOMDocument is dealing with invalid html. So, how can i parse it even though is invalid?

  • Which third party website thumbnailing services do you use?

    I've got a requirement for showing thumbnails of arbitrary websites. I need to be able to show small thumbnails (120px by 90px), and larger thumbnails of around 480px wide. I'll need to specify the queue and invalid placeholder images and preferably have a pingback when the queued images are processed so I can respond appropriately. I'd also need a simple API I can use either directly embedded in my HTML, or from a simple web request to queue the images. I've been looking at various services ranging from low-fi services, to large scale ones - here's some examples: www.bitpixels.com Uses Google AppEngine, seems like a prototype or a toy. Free! www.websnapr.com Tried using this, made a free account and requested a thumbnail. Waited a few minutes and refreshed a couple of times, and ended up having the account banned. Free is tricky yes, but if I can't try it out successfully I'm disinclined to pay. www.shrinktheweb.com Free account seems to be very quick. Lots of documentation on the site, and even covers local caching of the images to your own server (documentation mostly in PHP). Quality of thumbnails look good, and there appear to be sufficient options for setting thumbnail placeholder images and parameters for altering how the thumbnailing is done. Also supports large 'screenshots' of URLs - very useful for me. Discovered the PRO pricing is an à la carte menu, allowing me to select just the features I want and keep the monthly cost low. Excellent stuff, have decided to use this service. www.thumbalizr.com Good coverage of thumbnail sizes and control options - even allowing specification for browser width when thumbnailing. No ping-back, but I can live without that. Supports local caching of images with PHP API, would prefer .NET, but can port it if necessary. Looks like a fairly professional service but seems fairly expensive for the number of thumbnails you get to generate. apologies for lack of proper linking - spam protection! I'm not entirely convinced by any of them, and since this will be a long term service I'd like some stability and support. I'm willing to pay for the service, but I'd want something that fulfills most if not all of my requirements for that. I should also mention that we're hosted on Windows under IIS, so local solutions involving Xvfb and the like sadly can't be used for this project. So my question is: what services do you use? How have they panned out, are you happy with them?
