  • How to achieve an eagerly loaded, filtered child collection with the NHibernate criteria API

    Is it possible to use the criteria api to load a set of parent objects along with a filtered, eagerly loaded set of child objects? I'm trying to query a list of categories and at the same time load the categories products that start with the letter M. The query below gives me the results I want but the Products are not eagerly loaded, that is NHibernate performs additional queries when I enumerate the Product collection: var categoriesWithProducts = session.CreateCriteria<Category>() .SetFetchMode("Products", FetchMode.Eager) .CreateCriteria("Products") .Add(Expression.Like("Name", "M%")) .List<Category>(); What am I missing here?

The main thing is that I want the data to reside in the CurrentDomain and the logic for operating on it in the plugin so I don't have to send the data across the boundary...

  • Adding object to child collection causes entire collection to load in Fluent NHibernate.

    Hello, I have my Parent object, which contains an ICollection of Children objects. The Children are lazy loaded and I do not need them in the context of my scenario. However, when I try to add a new child object to my Children collection, it kicks off the lazy load and loads all 7000 child records. I assume I am making a newbie mistake. Anybody out there know how I can fix this? Thanks!

Say I have an object Question: public class Question { private String category; ... } Would it be possible to populate a static Set<String> that is a distinct set of all categories in the Database? I know I could just query this, but I was wondering if there was a more elegant solution, as it seems like something that other people may have come across.

  • BugZilla XML RPC Interface

    I am attempting to setup BugZilla to receive but reports from another system using the XML-RPC interface. BugZilla works fine on its own with its own interface. When I attempt to test the XML-RPC functionality by accessing "xmlrpc.cgi" in my browser I get the error: The XML-RPC Interface feature is not available in this Bugzilla at C:\BugZilla\xmlrpc.cgi line 27 main::BEGIN(...) called at C:\BugZilla\xmlrpc.cgi line 29 eval {...} called at C:\BugZilla\xmlrpc.cgi line 29 Following this I install test-taint package from the default perl repository, this installs version 1.04. Re-running "xmlrpc.cgi" gives me an IIS error: 502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server. There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server, it received an invalid response from the content server. So I run the checksetup.pl which inform me that: Use of uninitialized value in open at C:/Perl/site/lib/Test/Taint.pm line 334, <DATA> line 558. Installing Test-Taint from CPAN is the same. I assume XML-RPC is relent on Test-Taint, but Test-Taint doesn't seem to run correctly. If I ignore this error and attempt to invoke "bz_webservice_demo.pl" to add an entry the script times out. How can I get the XML-RPC / Test-Taint function working ?   • Does TFS 2010 lock a project collection when it's being cloned?

    We're planning to migrate a project collection currently hosted on TFS 2010 to TFS 2012. We want to keep the current installation running while resolving any issues that might arise, so we need to copy the current project collection to the new server. However, TFS doesn't allow us to attach a restored database backup directly. The database first must be detached from the original TFS installation. We can get around that limitation by cloning the project collection and detaching the clone, but we're not sure whether that would also impact the original project collection. Does TFS lock the original project collection while it's being cloned?

  • Store XML data in Core Data

    Hi, is there any easy way of store XML data into core data? Currently, my app just pulls the values from the XML file directly, however, this isn't efficient for XML files which holds over 100 entries, thus storing the data in Core Data would be the best option. XML file is called/downloaded/parsed ever time the app opens. With the Core Data, the XML data would be downloaded ever 3600 seconds or so, and refresh the current data in the core data, to reduce the loading time when opening the app. Any ideas on how I can do this? Having reviewed the developer documentation, it doesn't look very tasty.

    i have a custom buildchain for an android project. there is a build.xml and build.properties. build.properties contains this line: manifest.file =${env.WORK_FOLDER}/AndroidManifest.xml and WORK_FOLDER is correctly set to proj_root_work. the layout is like the following: proj_root-_work [DIR] (some stuff gets preprocessed and all finally copied here - src, res, assets and the AndroidManifest.xml) -build.xml -build.properties then i call ant for my build configuration from the proj_root and it complains about not finding AndroidManifest.xml. when i put it in my proj_root it works, but i really want it in my _Work directory. i read that the file HAS TO BE in the root, what is the point then of the build.properties entry? also i saw some custom parameters to aapt.exe ... any hints welcome, thx

    Hi All, First time here asking a question and still learning on how to format things better... so sorry about the format as it does not look too well. I have started learning flex and picked up a book and tried to follow the examples in it. However, I got stuck with a problem. I have a jsp page which returns xml which basically have a list of products. I am trying to parse this xml, in other words go through products, and create Objects for each product node and store them in an ArrayCollection. The problem I believe I am having is I am not using the right way of navigating through xml.     Hello, I have the BIRT Report Server configured in TOMCAT and it works fine when running reports that require an XML datasource, but that XML file has be available on the network in order for the server to find it and run. Is there an out of the box configuration in the BIRT server that will prompt the user to upload the XML file directly to the server when they try to run a given report that requires an XML data source? This would be handy for users that have the XML datasource stored locally on their C drive and not have to move them to a network server in order to be read by BIRT. Thanks in advance. Paul

    I've set up a SOAP WebServiceProvider in JAX-WS, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the raw XML from a SOAPMessage (or any Node) object. Here's a sample of the code I've got right now, and where I'm trying to grab the XML: @WebServiceProvider(wsdlLocation="SoapService.wsdl") @ServiceMode(value=Service.Mode.MESSAGE) public class SoapProvider implements Provider<SOAPMessage> { public SOAPMessage invoke(SOAPMessage msg) { // How do I get the raw XML here? } } Is there a simple way to get the XML of the original request? If there's a way to get the raw XML by setting up a different type of Provider (such as Source), I'd be willing to do that, too.
