• Remote Desktop won't maximize

  I use a laptop and I am docking and undocking frequently. Often when I connect to another machine using remote desktop, the screen size gets messed up when I dock again. By "messed up" I mean that it stays the size of my lap top screen (wide screen ratio). Clicking maximize will not get it to go full screen. Any ideas how I can reset this (other than a reboot).

  On a brand new (just unboxed) Dell Precision 7500 computer, I began a kickstart using a red hat boot disk and a kickstart file hosted at an http address. There is a picture of the full error below with trace information I believe this is different than the other questions relating to kernel panic errors. What I would like to know is What causes the kernel panic How does one fix this such that the kickstart finishes Additional information can be provided as necessary.

  Laptop: HP Compaq 6710b I can boot from usb just fine with the following usb flash drives: Cruzer micro 4GB HP 4GB The flash drive that will not boot: Flash Voyager 8GB To knock out variables I did the following: Using Hard Disk Low Level Format Tool I performed a low level format Full erase with Flash Memory Tookit In windows 7 I formated the drive to fat32 Used USB-Boot-Tester to write to the drive Also used uNetbooting with various distros to see if that would make a difference My guesses on what could be preventing the drive from booting: The laptop does not support booting to usb flash drives larger than 4GB The drive is defective in some way

  I've been told to assume it takes as long as 48 hours for a DNS change to propagate throughout the entire Internet, because some DNS servers cache their entries for longer than my TTL. However, for years and across ISPs and domains, every time I've made a DNS change I see the effects within a couple of hours. Is it still true that I need to assume a full two days for everyone to see my changes?

  Hi I have an project in FCE which was recorded in MPEG-4 video in 1280 x 960 (1,4MB/s) and whenever I import those mov files to FCE thez show just fine. but when i add the clips to the timeline (sequence) the quality is cropped - instead of HD i can onlz export the timeline with quicktime conversion and a resolution of 720 x 480. can anybody help me out and tell me how i can export the timeline in full HD quality (as the raw material itself is)?

  If an office workstation is turned on, either in wake/sleep/logged off/logged in mode, is it possible to remote desktop into that workstation given that I have full admin priviledge to the Windows Server and Active Directory governing the authentication?   I have 20 PCs (Windows XP) in remote locations connecting to the same server (Windows Server 2003) using Remote Desktop over a VPN. On just one of the PCs the remote desktop screen flashes (redraws) multiple times after connecting, the others don't. The screen resolution is the same: local is 800x600 32bit; RDP file is set to full screen, 256 color; remote when connected is 800x600 8bit color. Any suggestions what the problem might be, or what to investigate next?

For example Zimbra is intended using postfix but syscp is managing that already. I guess, that will not be possible, but maybe without having the full functionality of Zimbra.   Is it possible to set Microsoft Word to display some text left-aligned and other text right-aligned on a single line? Here's an example of what I mean: | Chickens, turkey and duck 30 | | Cows 240 | | Pigs and boar 83 | | Sheep Not applicable | where the vertical lines denote the sides of the page. The full justify option won't work because I don't want anything in the middle of the lines. The table of contents option has the formatting I want, but only supports page numbers, which does me no good.
