  • vba Loop over a non-contiguous range

    I have a non-contiguous range on rows (example address of myRange: $2:$2,$4:$205,$214:$214) and I would like to access a specific row and column within the range. I have tried the following: 'Get the value of the 2nd row, 1st column within the range myRange.rows(2).Cells(, 1).Value However, this is giving me the value of the 2nd row in the WorkSheet, and NOT in the range - meaning it is giving me address $3$1 - and not $4$1 Can someone please explain how I can access the values within in my range? (It may have to do with different areas) Thank You

  • Is window.location.href = 'some_page.html' followed by search engines?

    Currently our website uses links to allow the user to change their locale. The problem with this is that you get a lot of random outlinks from each page on the site to... the same page, in other languages. When a search engine traverses this, it gets an excessively complex view of the site. We were going to change it to a form post to avoid this. However, it seems to me that we should just be able to change it to an onclick="window.location.href='change_my_language.php'" rather than an href="change_my_language.php". Am I right? Or do the major search engines scan for and follow this sort of thing nowadays?

  • Has Google introduced a system that allows multiple "keyword-only" domains per site?

    I've been told by a client that "a friend" told them that as of January 2010, Google allows multiple domain names that have keywords in them to be associated with a single site. To be honest this sounds rather April-foolish but I'm not sure when his "friend" told him so for the time being I have to take it at face value. I've heard nothing of this and have searched for such a thing this morning, to find nothing but warnings against this practice. Said client seems keen on buying up lots of domains today, so before he insists upon it I just want to be absolutely sure - has Google silently introduced such an allowance, or is there something else they introduced earlier this year that he could be getting confused with?   • Boost.Test: Looking for a working non-Trivial Test Suite Example / Tutorial

    The Boost.Test documentation and examples don't really seem to contain any non-trivial examples and so far the two tutorials I've found here and here while helpful are both fairly basic. I would like to have a master test suite for the entire project, while maintaining per module suites of unit tests and fixtures that can be run independently. I'll also be using a mock server to test various networking edge cases. I'm on Ubuntu 8.04, but I'll take any example Linux or Windows since I'm writing my own makefiles anyways.

  • Cakephp, Route old google search results to new home page

    Hi there, I have created a new website for a company and I would like all the previous search engine results to be redirected. Since there were quite a few pages and most of them where using an id I would like to use something generic instead of re-routing all the old pages. My first thought was to do that: Router::connect('/*', array('controller' => 'pages', 'action' => 'display', 'home')); And put that at the very end of the routes.php file [since it is prioritized] so that all requests not validating with previous route actions would return true with this one and redirect to homepage. However this does not work.     I'm attempting to build a way for my selectors to 'listen' to 'global' events that are beyond the typical 'click' 'change' 'submit' etc. I've explored the various 'eventmanagers' that I could find, and they're all still designed for forms. Is there any way to do something like this for non-standard (i.e. custom) events? The goal is to have selectors subscribe to an event, and then be able to trigger it in one place and it will raise it for everything subscribed to it.

  • mod_rewrite browser trying to get content from non-existant dir

    I have my mod_rewrite set up so that it redirects all requests that aren't targeting existing files or directories to index.php?req=* where * is the request. Works all fine but when I send the browser to something like this: http://myurl/A/B/C The browser tries to find all images, stylesheets in the non-existing folder C. How can I make the browser to look in / instead of the 'virtual' directory? Do I have to put an absolute path everywhere?

    By what i understand String and StringBuilder objects both allocate contiguous memory underneath. My program runs for days buffering several output in a String object. This sometimes cause outofmemoryexception which i think is because of non availability of contiguous memory. my string size can go upto 100MBs and i m concatenating new string frequently this causes new string object being allocated. i can reduce new string object creation by using Stringbuilder but that would not solve my problem entirely Is there an alternative to a contiguous string object?

For example: http://www.example.com/results?search_type=search_videos&search_query=tpb&search_sort=relevance&search_category=25" When linking from outside, then having URLs differing only by sort parameters is obviously a bad idea: Google will not understand that these links point to the same item, i.e. that the item is popular. Therefore ranking will be lower than it should. But what's the alternative? Using a fragment identifier (#), and then doing the sorting in JavaScript? What else? Some settings in Webmaster tools?

    Based on my limited understanding of this parameter [1] it seems to be used in representing cookieless session IDs in java applications... but strangely, we're now noticing that a 3-year-old .NET stack is now appearing in Bing SERPs with GXHC_gx_session_id appended to the domain - and we're not alone: http://www.bing.com/search?q=GXHC_gx_session_id http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&q=GXHC_gx_session_id When comparing Google SERPs to Bing SERPs there are some inconsistencies in whether a particular site carries this parameter - is it then a bing-specific issue only? What else could cause this parameter to be appended to indexed URLs if the target environment (anything behind the load balancers) isn't running java?     In Javascript I can do this: function A(x) { return x || 3; } This returns 3 if x is a "non-truthful" value like 0, null, false, and it returns x otherwise. This is useful for empty arguments, e.g. I can do A() and it will evaluate as 3. Does Python have an equivalent? I guess I could make one out of the ternary operator a if b else c but was wondering what people use for this.

I have a "for" loop in the script, but it won't work unless I use only integers: #!/bin/bash for (( i=10; i<=100000; i+=100)) do ./hw3_2_2 $i done The variable $i is an input for the program hw3_2_2, and I have non-integer values I'd like to use.
