  • Rails routes matching query parameters

    - by Harry Wood
Rails routes are great for matching RESTful style '/' separated bits of a URL, but can I match query parameters in a map.connect config. I want different controllers/actions to be invoked depending on the presence of a parameter after the '?'. I was trying something like this... map.connect "api/my/path?apple=:applecode", :controller = 'apples_controller', :action = 'my_action' map.connect "api/my/path?banana=:bananacode", :controller = 'bananas_controller', :action = 'my_action' For routing purposes I don't care about the value of the parameter, as long as it is available to the controller in the 'params' hash

  • How do I reflect over the members of dynamic object?

    - by Flatliner DOA
I need to get a dictionary of properties and their values from an object declared with the dynamic keyword in .NET 4? It seems using reflection for this will not work. Example: dynamic s = new ExpandoObject(); s.Path = "/Home"; s.Name = "Home"; // How do I enumerate the Path and Name properties and get their values? IDictionary<string, object> propertyValues = ???

  • How to properly encode "[" and "]" in queries using Apache HttpClient?

    - by Jason Nichols
I've got a GET method that looks like the following: GetMethod method = new GetMethod("http://host/path/?key=[\"item\",\"item\"]"); Such a path works just fine when typed directly into a browser, but the above line when run causes an IllegalArgumentException : Invalid URI. I've looked at using the URIUtils class, but without success. Is there a way to automatically encode this (or to add a query string onto the URL without causing HttpClient to barf?).

  • How to create symbolic links in Windows?

    - by guillermooo
Related: In .NET, how do I Create a Junction in NTFS, as opposed to a Symlink? I've tried Winbolic (Windows XP), but i can't get it to work the way I want. Am I wrong here?: If I create a symbolic link within a folder in my %PATH%, the referenced directory should work as if it had actually been added to %PATH%, right?

  • Executable directory where application is running from?

    - by JPJedi
I need to get the path (not the executable) where my application is running from: System.AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory() When I run the above statement with & "/images/image.jpg" on my local machine it works fine but when I install the application on another machine it says it cannot find the file and there is a lot of extra path information some. I just need the directory of where the app is running. I am coding in VB.NET with Visual Studio 2008. Thanks!

  • Selecting and Copying a Random File Several Times

    - by user1252778
[Edit: see below for final code] I have the following code and I'm trying to figure out where to insert the random.choice code to make it select a single file, copy it, and repeat (here 6 times). import os import shutil import random dir_input = str(input("Enter Source Directory: ")) src_files = (os.listdir(dir_input)) for x in range (0,5): print ('This is the %d time' % x) for file_name in src_files: full_file_name = (os.path.join(dir_input, file_name)) if (os.path.isfile(full_file_name)): print ('copying...' + full_file_name) shutil.copy(full_file_name, r'C:\Dir')) else: print ('Finished!')

  • Absolute UriSource of a Resource image

    - by Louis Rhys
I have a WPF project. If I store image in {ProjectRoot}\Images\image.png, and compile it as Resource then I can access it from a xaml (this xaml is located at Root) as BitmapImage by BitmapImage UriSource="Images/image.png". But if I move the xaml to another folder, say {ProjectRoot}\Xamls, now I have to use BitmapImage UriSource="../Images/image.png". Is there a way to specify an absolute project path, so that I can refer to them with the same path regardless of the location of the xaml?

  • HOWTO use UIWebView to display a downloaded file later?

    - by Roboprog
How do I format an NSURL (what path, or path generator function) so that I can display a downloaded local file (NOT part of the application NSBundle) for use offline? The idea is to snag an HTML file, clean it up and stash it in the iFoo application specific storage area, then later use UIWebView to display it. Next, I go off to RTFM about working with files on iFoo (iPhone / iPad) in general, but any fast-start tips are appreciated.

  • How Do you Declare a Dependancy Property in VB.Net 3.0

    - by discwiz
My company is stuck on .Net 3.0. The task I am trying to tackle is simple, I need to bind the IsChecked property of the CheckBoxResolvesCEDAR to the CompletesCEDARWork in my Audio class. The more I read about this it appears that I have to declare CompletesCEDARWork as dependancy propert, but I can not find a good example of how this is done. I found this example, but when I pasted into my code I get an "is not defined" error for GetValue and I have not successfully figure out what MyCode is supposed to represent. Any help/examples would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Public Shared ReadOnly IsSpinningProperty As DependencyProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("IsSpinning", GetType(Boolean), GetType(MyCode)) Public Property IsSpinning() As Boolean Get Return CBool(GetValue(IsSpinningProperty)) End Get Set(ByVal value As Boolean) SetValue(IsSpinningProperty, value) End Set End Property Here is my slimed down Audio Class as it stands now. Imports System.Xml Imports System Imports System.IO Imports System.Collections.ObjectModel Imports System.ComponentModel Public Class Audio Private mXMLString As String Private mTarpID As Integer Private mStartTime As Date Private mEndTime As Date Private mAudioArray As Byte() Private mFileXMLInfo As IO.FileInfo Private mFileXMLStream As IO.FileStream Private mFileAudioInfo As IO.FileInfo Private mDisplayText As String Private mCompletesCEDARWork As Boolean Private Property CompletesCEDARWork() As Boolean Get Return mCompletesCEDARWork End Get Set(ByVal value As Boolean) mCompletesCEDARWork = value End Set End Property And here is my XML Datatemplate where I set the binding. <DataTemplate x:Key="UploadLayout" DataType="Audio"> <Border BorderBrush="LightGray" CornerRadius="8" BorderThickness="1" Padding="10" Margin="0,3,0,0"> <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=DisplayText}"> </TextBlock> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" VerticalAlignment="Center"> <TextBlock Text="TARP ID" VerticalAlignment="Center"/> <ComboBox x:Name="ListBoxTarpIDs" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=TarpIds}" SelectedValue="{Binding Path=TarpID}" BorderBrush="Transparent" Background="Transparent" > </ComboBox> </StackPanel> <CheckBox x:Name="CheckBoxResolvesCEDAR" Content="Resolves CEDAR Work" IsChecked="{Binding ElementName=Audio,Path=CompletesCEDARWork,Mode=TwoWay}"/> </StackPanel> </Border> </DataTemplate>

  • One-liner javascript to collect values from object graph?

    - by Kevin Pauli
Given the following object graph: { "children": [ { "child": { "pets": [ { "pet": { "name": "fido" } }, { "pet": { "name": "fluffy" } } ] } }, { "child": { "pets": [ { "pet": { "name": "spike" } } ] } } ] } What would be a nice one-liner (or two) to collect the names of my grandchildren's pets? The result should be ["fido", "fluffy", "spike"] I don't want to write custom methods for this... I'm looking for something like the way jQuery works in selecting dom nodes, where you can just give it a CSS-like path and it collects them up for you. I would expect the expression path to look something like "children child pets pet name"

  • WFP Textblock in Listbox not clipping properly

    - by Tobias Funke
Her's what I want: A listbox whose items consist of a stackpanel with two textblocks. The textblocks need to support wrapping, the listbox should not expand, and there should be no horizontal scrollbar. Here's the code I have so far. Copy and paste it into XamlPad and you'll see what I'm talking about. <ListBox Height="300" Width="300" x:Name="tvShows"> <ListBox.Items> <ListBoxItem> <StackPanel> <TextBlock Width="{Binding ElementName=tvShows, Path=ActualWidth}" TextWrapping="Wrap">Lost is an American live-action television series. It follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island.</TextBlock> <TextBlock Width="{Binding ElementName=tvShows, Path=ActualWidth}" TextWrapping="Wrap">Lost is an American live-action television series. It follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island.</TextBlock> </StackPanel> </ListBoxItem> <ListBoxItem> <StackPanel> <TextBlock Width="{Binding ElementName=tvShows, Path=ActualWidth}" TextWrapping="Wrap">Lost is an American live-action television series. It follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island.</TextBlock> <TextBlock Width="{Binding ElementName=tvShows, Path=ActualWidth}" TextWrapping="Wrap">Lost is an American live-action television series. It follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island.</TextBlock> </StackPanel> </ListBoxItem> </ListBox.Items> </ListBox> This seems to be doing the job of keeping the textblocks from growing, but there's one problem. The textblocks seem to be slightly larger than the listbox, causing the horizontal scrollbar to appear. This is strange because their widths are bound to the lisbox's ActualWidth. Also, if you add a few more items to the listbox (just cut and paste in XamlPad) causing the vertical scrollbar to appear, the width of the textblocks do not resize to the vertical scrollbar. How do I keep the textblocks inside the listbox, with or without the vertical scrollbar?

  • Why isn't my File.Move() working?

    - by yeahumok
I'm not sure what exactly i'm doing wrong here...but i noticed that my File.Move() isn't renaming any files. Also, does anybody know how in my 2nd loop, i'd be able to populate my .txt file with a list of the path AND sanitized file name? using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.IO; using System.Text.RegularExpressions; namespace ConsoleApplication2 { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { //recurse through files. Let user press 'ok' to move onto next step string[] files = Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\Documents and Settings\jane.doe\Desktop\~Test Folder for [SharePoint] %testing", "*.*", SearchOption.AllDirectories); foreach (string file in files) { Console.Write(file + "\r\n"); } Console.WriteLine("Press any key to continue..."); Console.ReadKey(true); //End section //Regex -- find invalid chars string pattern = " *[\\~#%&*{}/<>?|\"-]+ *"; string replacement = " "; Regex regEx = new Regex(pattern); string[] fileDrive = Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\Documents and Settings\jane.doe\Desktop\~Test Folder for [SharePoint] %testing", "*.*", SearchOption.AllDirectories); List<string> filePath = new List<string>(); //clean out file -- remove the path name so file name only shows string result; foreach(string fileNames in fileDrive) { result = Path.GetFileName(fileNames); filePath.Add(result); } StreamWriter sw = new StreamWriter(@"C:\Documents and Settings\jane.doe\Desktop\~Test Folder for [SharePoint] %testing\File_Renames.txt"); //Sanitize and remove invalid chars foreach(string Files2 in filePath) { try { string sanitized = regEx.Replace(Files2, replacement); sw.Write(sanitized + "\r\n"); System.IO.File.Move(Files2, sanitized); System.IO.File.Delete(Files2); } catch (Exception ex) { Console.Write(ex); } } sw.Close(); } } } I'm VERY new to C# and trying to write an app that recurses through a specific drive, finds invalid characters (as specified in the RegEx pattern), removes them from the filename and then write a .txt file that has the path name and the corrected filename. Any ideas?

I want to show the contents of a file given by a path at a specific state of a git repo. I unsuccessfully tried this: git show f825334150cd4bc8f46656b2daa8fa1e92f7796d:Katana/source/Git/GitLocalBranch.h fatal: ambiguous argument 'f825334150cd4bc8f46656b2daa8fa1e92f7796d:Katana/source/Git/GitLocalBranch.h': unknown revision or path not in the working tree. Use '--' to separate paths from revisions The commit in question didn't modify the file specified. How can I show the contents of a file at a given state (specified by a commit hash) regardless of the involvement of the file in the commit?
