  • Kohana 3.2 - Database Session losing data on new Page Request

    I've setup my dev Kohana server to use an encrypted database as the default Session type. I'm also using this in combination with Auth to implement user authentication. Right now my user's are able to authenticate correctly and the authentication keys are being stored in the session. I'm also storing additional data like the user's firstname and businessname during the login procedure. When my login function is ready to redirect the user to the user dashboard, I'm able to see all the data correctly when I do $session::instance()->as_array(); (Array ( [auth_user] => NRyk6lA8 [businessname] => Dudetown [firstname] => Matt )) As soon as I redirect the user to another page, $session::instance()->as_array(); is empty. By dumping out the Session::instance() object, I can see that the Session id's are still the same. When I look at my database table though, i dont see any session records being saved and my session table is empty. My bootstrap.php contains: Session::$default = 'database'; Cookie::$salt = 'asdfasdf'; Cookie::$expiration = 1209600; Cookie::$domain = FALSE; and my session.php config file looks like: return array( 'database' => array( 'name' => 'auth_user', 'encrypted' => TRUE, 'lifetime' => 24 * 3600, 'group' => 'default', 'table' => 'sessions', 'columns' => array( 'session_id' => 'session_id', 'last_active' => 'last_active', 'contents' => 'contents' ), 'gc' => 500, ), ); I've looked high and low for an answer.. if anyone has any suggestions, i'm all ears!   • open current page in new window including query string

    First of all, I am a total dud at all things related to web developement, so please bear with me here. I suspect this question is laughable for the web guys, but unfortunately I can't figure this out. Here goes: I have an application, that does some processing, writes some result files and then displays the results in an embedded IE browser control. This is done by navigating the browser control to a local html file together with a query string containing the generated result files to display it all. The link target would look something like: c:\SomeFolder\results.htm?results=file%201.xml;file%202.xml;file%203.xml So far, everything's fine. However, in the html page is a href that is suppossed to open up the exact same just in a normal browser window. What I thought would work is: <a href="#" target="_blank">Show in browser</a> Since it is a link in an html page displayed in an IE control, the link will open up in IE no matter what the default browser might be. This works for IE7 and 8, but not for IE6. With IE6 the query string gets cut off and the browser opens file://c:/results/results.htm# without the query string. I am sure there must be a much better way to do this without the # and which would work in all IEs. How would the pros solve this?

Our prof made us create a static library which i built using debug version. then i made a release version of that static library using /mt as my c runtime now in my test application (release version) I use the same runtime option and add that static library and also ignore the libcmd.lib in the ignore settings for the linker. i resolved most of the problem this is the last part lnk4075 /edit and continue due to /opt:icf specification compositelib.lib (my staticlib) lnk2001 unresolved external symbol _winmain@16. libcmtd.lib these are the last two that i can't seem to figure out.

  • TextBox is not showing new value in code-behind

    I have created a asp:TextBox. its disabled. but its values is changed via javascript. When i click a button to get the updated value in that textbox it always show me empty (""). In my Page_Load i am doing everything in if(!Page.IsPostBack) so there is no chance of updating TextBox value on postback in Page_Load. Where i could be wrong? how can i get updated value?

    I have a large .NET based system running within the company intranet, which allows winforms users to see some live calculated numbers and a custom winforms control drawn live (but not real-time). The Forms users can also affect the operation of the system. I would like to just show the live numbers on a website, along with the custom control. Nothing needs to come back from the web user, as the web app is meant to be just for monitoring. All the numbers can be calculated at the server. It's been a long time since I touched ASP.NET, and I need to know how to proceed. What are the steps in building and deploying such a website? Any caveats I need to look out for?

  • How to count new lines in Internet Explorer?

    Hey, all. I'm doing my own syntax highlighter for Javascript and CSS, and I've run into an issue with Internet Explorer (big surprise). I grab all the contents of a code.block tag (example below) using innerHTML, and .split("\n") that result to get each line by itself. This works wonderfully except in IE. I have tried using innerText and .split("\r\n") also without success. Can anyone recommend a solution? If it makes a difference, my code.block tags are styled to be white-space:pre-wrap. <code class="block css">div#randomBarsDemo { width:175px; height:200px; } div#randomBarsDemo div { background-color:#111; width:100%; }</code>

  • MySQL upload CSV file as new table

    I frequently upload CSV files to a MySQL db. It is very convenient to use LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE to upload the data, but I can't use this to create the table itself. As of now, the best method I have is to use PHP to get the field titles from the first row of the file and then put together a CREATE table query. Is there a more convenient way to do this?

    I have the following rule on my local dev site and it works fine: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^localhost$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/example.com(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] However when I change it to: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.domain.com$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/example.com(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] and upload it to my live site it doesn't work, if i change the rule to: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.domain.com$ RewriteRule ^subdomains/(.*) http://www.example.com$1 [R=301,L] the rule functions as expected and directs an url beginning with www.domain.com/subdomains/ to www.example.com/. Does anyone know what is going on here? Thanks for you help.

I want to add another language to my repertoire and have gotten conflicting advice: Ruby, Python, Perl, JavaScript, PHP, AJAX, among others.   • How to deal with the new line character in the Silverlight TextBox

    When using a multi-line TextBox (AcceptsReturn="True") in Silverlight, line feeds are recorded as \r rather than \r\n. This is causing problems when the data is persisted and later exported to another format to be read by a Windows application. I was thinking of using a regular expression to replace any single \r characters with a \r\n, but I suck at regex's and couldn't get it to work. Because there may be a mixture of line endings just blindy replacing all \r with \r\n doesn't cut it. So two questions really... If regex is the way to go what's the correct pattern? Is there a way to get Silverlight to respect it's own Environment.NewLine character in TextBox's and have it insert \r\n rather just a single \r?

  • Creating new context in JSF

    HI, We are navigating to for example page A to C. When we are in page C, user clicks the back button of the browser and goes back to the previous application which is used for invoking the page A. Again, when user trying to invoke the page A, he directly navigating to the page C, not page A. Here what I felt the problem was, may the JSF context is taking to the current page. How we can solve this problem. When every user clicks to enter page A, he should be able to see the page A. Anyone has the solution for my problem.

  • Qt display image in a new window

    Hi, I am naive to Qt and GUI programming. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1357960/qt-jpg-image-display/2605463#2605463 The procedure given for displaying an image is working fine and thank you for providing that. But I want to display an image when I click on radiobutton. I created a slot, and I connected the button click event to the slot (dispImage is my slot). My slot consists only the code which is working to display an image (First answer in this link). I am able to compile it and run it. But the o/p is not as we desire. On button click, image windoe flashes for a sec and disappears. One more point to share is, I tried the same with windowsflags example present in qt examples. In this example I want to display the image on the preview window created by us. Even this is also not worked for me. Please provide me the solution. Thanks in advance.
