• How do I get the icons of TinyMCE to show?

  I installed TinyMCE and I have the textbox and the functions work(such as , ) but I don't see the tool box that has displays all the functions. Like in this example. How do I get the images to show? All I have is the textbox. I used the code from the example link and theirs has the images and all I have is the textbox. • Storing PDFs in MS Access Database using Forms

  I need to store PDF files in an Access database on a shared drive using a form. I figured out how to do this in tables (using the OLE Object field, then just drag-and-drop) but I would like to do this on a Form that has a Save button. Clicking the save button would store the file (not just a link) in the database. Any ideas on how to do this? EDIT: I am using Access 2003, and the DB will be stored on a share drive, so I'm not sure linking to the files will solve the problem.

• html links & hover events over certain locations on an image.

  So i created a web site a long time ago using a designer alot like frontpage + expression design put together, and since then Ive gotten more into coding, and I'm learning html, CSS, and all that good stuff.. and i have this re-designed header that Ive made here: http://prntscr.com/8zct So what I need to know, is how i can get it so that when a user clicks on one of the links in the header design it will redirect to a page. and also if possible, how to make it so when a user hovers over a link a drop down may appear with other options. As me being quite new to this sort of stuff, could anybody help me achieve this? PS. I'm working in Visual Studio with ASP. but that doesn't change anything about the html and css stuff. just letting you guys know.

• DataContext Doesn't Exist in Dynamic Data Project?

  This is really annoying...and I know it is something extremely simple... 1. I create a new Dynamic Data project. 2. I add a LINQ-to-SQL class and drag and drop some tables onto the class. 3. I open the global.asax.vb and uncomment the line: DefaultModel.RegisterContext(GetType(YourDataContext), New ContextConfiguration() With {.ScaffoldAllTables = True}) I remove YourDataContext and replace it with the DataContext from my LINQ-to-SQL class: DefaultModel.RegisterContext(GetType(NorthwindDataContext), New ContextConfiguration() With {.ScaffoldAllTables = True}) I then try to debug/build/etc. and receive the following error: Type 'NorthwindDataContext' is not defined Why is it not defined? It seems like its not recognizing I created the DBML file.

• Why I cannot access the properties of my Custom ComboBox

  Ok, I created a windows control project....dropped a comboBox on it, wrote some custom code that I wanted on its event ( Text Changed event, etc) ... I can also compile it and drop it on a new WinForms App... good. But in my sample WinForms app that I want to use it, I cannot access the properties of that combo box.. it does not list them .. properties like SelectedItems, etc... what Am I doing wrong? this is my first time creating a custom control tho. • Accessing controls created dynamically (c#)

  In my code behind (c#) I dynamically created some RadioButtonLists with more RadioButtons in each of them. I put all controls to a specific Panel. What I need to know is how to access those controls later as they are not created in .aspx file (with drag and drop from toolbox)? I tried this: foreach (Control child in panel.Controls) { Response.Write("test1"); if (child.GetType().ToString().Equals("System.Web.UI.WebControls.RadioButtonList")) { RadioButtonList r = (RadioButtonList)child; Response.Write("test2"); } } "test1" and "test2" dont show up in my page. • None of my Win Forms buttons work

  I have a windows form which connects to a SQL Server though a dataset. The form was working fine since my last compile. All of a sudden, none of my buttons work! The data is loaded on the form, all the tabs work fine, drop down boxes work fine, but the buttons are literally unresponsive to any clicks. I added a test button and I get the same results. I can visually see the button getting clicked but no events. Any ideas?

• HTML/CSS - Image inside a li element from the navigation bar

  I have a navigation bar, and underneath a black div on which the drop-down elements from the navigation bar drops. This is not the main function of the black div. It is just for design, but it works really well. You can see here what i am talking about: http://www.ecoloc.ro/interior/test/regeneration . Now, what i want to do is that every time a main element from the navigation bar is hovered, an image big enough to cover the main element and a part of that black div beneath it will appear. You can see in the link that i posted, on that black gap i want the image. Can this be done? Thank you!

• Run .exe packaged in .jar

  I am trying to merge 2 programs I have made to one .jar file. One program is a .jar written in java and the second one is an .exe written in c++. I put both files to the new .jar, wrote this code but it didn't work. When this code was exported to .jar and executed neither of 2 files ran and I got error "no main manifest attribute, in merged.jar" in cmd. Though it worked perfectly when run in eclipse. public class main { public static void main(String[] args) { try { Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c project1.jar"); Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c project2.exe"); } catch(Exception exce) { /*handle exception*/ } } } Any idea how to fix this or is there another way to do it? I am new to java, so can't think of anything good. Maybe it would be possible to drop these files to a temporary location in windows and delete them after they're executed?

  Here is the PNG file and what it looks like in a QWebView when accessed via http://sstatic.net/so/img/logo.png: When accessed via HTTP: <img src="http://sstatic.net/so/img/logo.png" width='250' height='61' /> When accessed via a resource: <img src="qrc:/images/logo.png" width='250' height='61' /> As you can see, the only modification was the src attribute of the image tag... why the drop in quality? Edit: The file is being shrunk via width: and height: in the style attribute, if that makes a difference. I updated the code.

• How do I make TODO comments show up in the task list for C++ projects in Visual Studio 2010?

  I'm trying to get my TODO comments to show up in the task list in Visual Studio 2010 for a C++ project, but they don't. I looked at this, but see no caveats other than the TODO comments need to be in the currently-open file. For example, creating a new Win32 console app places this: // TODO: reference additional headers your program requires here in a new file, stdafx.h. However, there's nothing in the task list. I have "Comments" chosen from the drop-down in the task list, but it's always empty. And it's not this problem; I can open the file and be looking at the TODO comment in the code editor and no task is shown. This is not a problem for C# projects as TODO comments show up as designed in those projects; this appears to be an issue specific to C++ projects. What else can I check?

• More swing design & actions

  Im pretty new to gui programming so i've been reading through every post on this site about swing and design. Whats been answered over and over again is that one should have a class which handles all the action. Like this: (GUI being some JFrame) Now, this works great for one-way actions, like OpenDialog. But the actions for buttons in DialogA and B will have to have access to all the components (there will be many) in its dialog, and the controller. This is where im stuck. The only sane way i can see is to put it in DialogA/B but i would then need to pass the controller all the way down, through classes that dont even need it, and it'll get all spaghetti. Really dont want that. Someone must have encountered this problem before. So where should i put this Action? Or should i just drop the whole design?

• Generating incremental numeric column values during INSERT SELECT statement

  I need to copy some data from one table to another in Oracle, while generating incremental values for a numeric column in the new table. This is a once-only exercise with a trivial number of rows (100). I have an adequate solution to this problem but I'm curious to know if there is a more elegant way. I'm doing it with a temporary sequence, like so: CREATE SEQUENCE temp_seq START WITH 1; INSERT INTO new_table (new_col, copied_col1, copied_col2) SELECT temp_seq.NEXTVAL, o.* FROM (SELECT old_col1, old_col2 FROM old_table) o; DROP SEQUENCE temp_seq; Is there way to do with without creating the sequence or any other temporary object? Specifically, can this be done with a self-contained INSERT SELECT statement? There are similar questions, but I believe the specifics of my question are original to SO.

  This is FIrst time i try to create Cocoa Touch Static Library and follow these steps. Create New Project with Cocoa Touch Static Library named it By default i got single class with Demo.h and Demo.m. 2.Create a public function in .h and implement it in .m. 3.Select iOS Device and press cmd + B. 4.Copy Demo.a from products and the .h file drop it in my iOS App where i want to use it. 5.Then Import Demo.h and try to call the function that i wrote.   I am trying to use width and precision specifiers with boost::format, like this: #include <boost\format.hpp> #include <string> int main() { int n = 5; std::string s = (boost::format("%*.*s") % (n*2) % (n*2) % "Hello").str(); return 0; } But this doesn't work because boost::format doesn't support the * specifier. Boost throws an exception when parsing the string. Is there a way to accomplish the same goal, preferably using a drop-in replacement?

• exactly what does rake db:migrate do?

  Does rake db:migrate only add new migrations, or does it drop all migrations/changes and build everything new? I think rake is throwing an error because it is trying to access a table attribute in migration 040 that was deleted in migration 042. somehow my DB and rake are out of synch and I want to fix them. for you experts out there - is it common for rake to get out of synch with migrations? how can I avoid this (no, I do not hand-edit my schema or rake files).

• "Inlining" (kind of) functions at runtime in C

  Hi, I was thinking about a typical problem that is very JIT-able, but hard to approach with raw C. The scenario is setting up a series of function pointers that are going to be "composed" (as in maths function composition) once at runtime and then called lots and lots of times. Doing it the obvious way involves many virtual calls, that are expensive, and if there are enough nested functions to fill the CPU branch prediction table completely, then the performance with drop considerably. In a language like Lisp, I could probably process the code and substitute the "virtual" call by the actual contents of the functions and then call compile to have an optimized version, but that seems very hacky and error prone to do in C, and using C is a requirement for this problem ;-) So, do you know if there's a standard, portable and safe way to achieve this in C? • Is it possible to deploy a Ruby app on a plain clean Passenger setup?

  I'm thinking to something really similar on what you can do with mod_php: drop an application in some way inside Apache and making it run with Passenger, without adding anything inside httpd.conf (no vhost, nothing except the basic Passenger configuration). It's something very similar to Wordpress or many other frameworks: just unzip/svn checkout it inside a folder and run it. I know that it's possible with CGI and FCGI, but I'm wondering if it's also possible to tap in the speed of Passenger. I've tried fiddling with the Rack instructions on the official website trying to find a specific .htaccess and config.ru configuration, but nothing so far. I know it's not common, but... is it even possible?

• Group Objects by Common Key

  I have a list of Customers. Each customer has an address and some customers may actually have the same address. My ultimate goal is to group customers based on their address. I figure I could either put the customers in some sort of list-based structure and sort on the addresses, or I could drop the objects into some sort of map that allows multiple values per key. I will now make a pretty picture: List: A1 - C1, A1 - C2, A2 - C3, A3 - C4, A3 - C5 Map: A1 A2 A3 C1 C3 C4 C2 C5 Which option (or any others) do you see as the best solution? Are there any existing classes that will make development easier?

• How to restart Linux from inside a C++ program?

  I have a Qt 4 GUI where I need to have a option in a drop-down menu that allows the user to choose to restart the computer. I realize this might seem redunant with the ability to restart the computer in other ways, but the choice needs to stay there. I've tried using system() to call the following: a suid-root shell script a non-suid shell script a suid-root binary program and all of them just cause reboot: must be superuser to be printed. Using system() to call reboot directly does the same thing. I'm not especially attached to using system() to do this, but it seemed like the most direct choice. How can I reboot the system from the GUI?

• SQL Server 2005: When clicking "Add" database I keep getting 'verify that the path or file exists'

  When I right click on "databases" in Sql Server 2005 Management Studio and then Attach... Add I get the following error: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\SQL Server Management Studio\ Projects\Path\To\MDF\And\LDF\Files\ cannot access the specified path or file on the server. Verify that you have the necessary security privileges and that the path or file exists. The answer is easy - the MDF and LDF files where removed when Nant (by way of my dev machine) issued a drop command. But, after replacing the MDF and LDF files, I want to reattach the database but the above error keeps coming up when I select "Add". Also, I have already "unattached" the database in question and it no longer appears on the left under "databases". I have tried to replace a copy of the MDF and LDF files in the folder being referenced and that didn't work. Any ideas as to how to gracefully get rid of this error?

• Creating a page selector with JSP/JSTL

  I am working on a project where I am required to build a page somewhat similar to the one you see when you visit a website like blockbuster. When you click on browse more you are taken to a page with a bar on top with different page numbers and a drop down to select the number of pages you want to view on that page. I want to include a feature like that on my page but I am not sure where to start. In my page I have list of 200 items which I want to display page by page. I was suggested to use custom tags, but is there a more simpler or efficient way to create that functionality. My web application uses Spring MVC framework and is coded entirely in Java. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
