  • Applescript cannot find sed during application install

    I am attempting to install an application, but the installer fails with the following error message: sh: sed: command not found and there is an Edit and OK button in the dialog, so I click the Edit button which launches the AppleScript Editor to show me the script that is executing. Running it from within the Editor doesn't work either. The first line of the script with sed is set currdir_modified to do shell script ("echo " & currdir & " | sed 's/ /\\ /g'") I went to the terminal to make sure sed was available, and it is, in /usr/bin. This sounds like a path problem, but I am not sure where to go from here. What can I do to further troubleshoot or solution this issue? I have successfully installed this app on another mac running the same OS X version, so it is specific to my mac and the application's support is not providing any more help because it is my mac's problem, not theirs.

  • Utilize different region format for a single application on Mac OS X

    Is there a way to have a single Mac OS X application utilize a different region format than the system default? For example, I'd like to keep my system operating in English with US date formats but have my lesson planning software utilize French date formats. If I put my entire computer into French mode, I get the desired results, but I'd rather keep my entire system in US mode and have the Planbook application work with French region formats. I know about Language Switcher but that only allow per-app selections of localizations to be used, not which date format to use. I don't care about having the French localization of Planbook appear, I just want the date format to be French.

Every morning, If I tried to connect to application, it shows the application is down. Once I restart the server, It works fine. From past 1 month, I am just restarting the server every day.     My project is a computer vision java application which should implement the following : A web interface through which the form entry+images(for example a student data) will be stored into a database(Mysql) & images into directory common to my java application. Then the data & images can be retrieved from my java Gui application and I can perform the following operations of image processing through OpenCV. Actually,I want to run the face detection on images retrieved and discard the false entries(no proper face). Also the application user/admin can search an image based on text search(By Id) or By another reference image using face recognition. I am well familiar with Java but the problem is that I need a guidance on how to organise it in a stepwise manner(links appreciated).OpenCv,Php and mySql are really messy.I know doing the openCV stuff within java is real overhead but i really want to do it.But If there is any suggestion to do it elseway please guide me.So any kind of help is a ray of hope for me.     We use the following function to auto detect if we are on a machine internally or on a live server and then choose the appropriate configs for various components. function devIsLocal(){ $res=false; $http_host=$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']; if($http_host=='localhost')$res=true; if($http_host=='127.0.0.1')$res=true; if(substr($http_host,-4)=='.lan')$res=true; if(strpos($http_host, '.')===false)$res=true; return($res); } As you can see it only relies on the HTTP_HOST value. Of course, if you have use virtual host locally like example.com then the function will be tricked. Are there any other ways to fool the function? and what other variables/places could we peek at to determine where we are?

  • SSRS: Report loading external images, image not found, can I hide the image control

    My SSRS report loads logo images for each customer from a customer number specific folder on the report server. I write an expression, to form my URL to the image based on th customer number. ..."http://localhost/images/" + iCustomerNumber.ToString() + "/logo.gif" I am able to get this working, but the problem I face is, when a particular customer doesn't has an image, then my report shows a red X mark in place of the logo. In this case, I expect to hide the image control itself. Any thoughts???? The other dirty solution will be to ensure that each customer specific folder has the designated image! even if there is no logo for a customer, I'll place a blank.gif or a spacer.gif of probably a square pixel in dimension!.

  • Loading external pngs into an AS2 swf that is loaded into an AS3 swf wrapper

    I have a Wrapper SWF that loads a series of AS2 movies. Each AS2 movie loads a series of .png files. AS3_wrapper.swf |-> AS2_1.swf |-> image_1.png |-> image_2.png |-> AS2_2.swf |-> image_1.png |-> image_2.png Inside of the AS2 I listen for the load of the pngs using onLoadInit and update my UI. This works fine for the first AS2 swf. But when I load the second AS2 swf the onLoadInit isn't triggered for the pngs. My guess is that the images are in a cache or something like that. I put a random string on the end of the request to try and avoid the cache but that doesn't seem to work. The code in the as2 looks roughly like this: var flagLoader:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader(); var listener:Object = new Object(); listener.onLoadInit = Delegate.create(this, handleImageLoad); flagLoader.addListener(listener); var row:MovieClip = frame1["row" + (numLoaded + 1)]; flagLoader.loadClip(predictionData[numLoaded].flag + "?r="+Math.random(), row.flag); I'm making sure to load only one image at a time (I've read anecdotal evidence loading more than one thing at a time can confuse the MovieClipLoader). For the first as2 file everything works great. When I load the second as2 file the handleImageLoad never gets called. Update: Even more perplexing is if I reload the first AS2 movie (after the second AS2 movie fails to load the images) the first AS2 movie loads the images again fine. Update 2: After trying to change from using a MovieClipLoader to polling (as was helpfully suggested) I have found some more evidence that is relevant. When I load the first AS2 files and trace from the top level clip it prints out _root. The second AS2 file when loaded traces the same _root. This lead me to check if they were clashing on names and they are. Both have a child called frame. The first one, when I trace it comes out as _root.frame as expected. The second AS2 file traces _level0.instance3.instance118.instance111.frame. I'm guessing this is related to the problem. Flash is keeping the _root of the two files the same but it is changing the locations of their children (for subsequently loaded files that have children with the same names). So either the onLoad is going to the wrong clip or the events about it loading are.

    I am developing PyQt software for my lab. In this software, I am loading different kind of RAW and analyzed data from a mySQL database (usually in arrays). I would like to integrate an Iython console in a Widget, so that I could interact easily with these data. I had some difficulties with Ipython 0.13 to do this. Here is what I already have (The whole code is very long, so I just show the part containing the widget, the Ipython console and the corresponding import line, if you need more, just tell me): ##I load everything useful to my application, including the following line from IPython.frontend.qt.console.qtconsoleapp import IPythonQtConsoleApp ##then is my whole software ##here is a class containing the Graphical User Interface elements. I think the Ipython console is launched independently from my software, but here is my limit in programming... Does someone know how to launch Ipython within my application?   • Web Start Application built on NetBeans Platform doesn't create desktop shortcut & start menu item

    I've created a NetBeans Platform application that is launched using Java Web Start. I built the WAR file using the 'Build JNLP Application'-command in Netbeans. I've added a desktop shortcut and menu item to the JNLP file, but for some reason, these are not created when the application is launched. However, when I go to: Control Panel - Java - Temporary Internet Files - View - Select my application Click 'Install shortcuts to the selected application' the desktop and menu shortcuts are created correctly. Also, in the Java Console, the Shortcut Creation option is set to the following (the default, I presume): Prompt user if hinted Below is a snippet of my JNLP file: <jnlp spec="6.0+" codebase="$$codebase"> <information> <title>${app.title}</title> <vendor>SomeVendor (Pty) Ltd</vendor> <description>Some description</description> <icon href="${app.icon}"/> <shortcut online="true"> <desktop/> <menu submenu="MyApp"/> </shortcut> </information> ...     I'm trying to create a database of World of Warcraft gems. Im working on a asp.net 3.5 web application (C#), where i have a file with some information that is updated frequently, and only few accounts can access to it (the application is using the asp.net authentication system, stored in a SQL database). My task is to parse that file, so i made a small parser (another web app) a to show the information in a more friendly way. However, everytime i want to parse it, i need to enter in the application with one of those accounts, download the file, put in the parser's folder. Is there any way to, given the username and password, download the file directly from the parser application and use that one? Thanks in advance

    I have inherited a ruby application at work and I am fairly new to ruby hosting environments. The application is hosted on a linux server but I am unable to find where the webroot is. I have looked for /var/www which is the webroot for apache on linux for other applications I have been working with. But that location doesn't exist on this server. I was looking through the folders on the server and got a feeling that it might be using Nginx+passenger. Could someone point me in the right direction where to look? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I'm in need of an application that can manage multiple Internet Explorer instances (to be precise nomerge sessions) like you can in Remote Desktop Manager with RDPs. This app should host them in single window and arrange IE instances e.g. in tabs or lists. OK, in Remote Desktop Manager you can create Web session, but in embedded mode you cannot set the nomerge option - all windows and tabs share the same session. I've been searching the web, but with no results. So I put this question whether anyone know of such application or any workaround. Or I have to write my own app?

  • Java service wrapper and additional application command line parameters

    I'm currently using java service wrapper to wrap a java application that I've developed. I'm needing to ability to pass in additional command line parameters to my application through the java service wrapper. Pretend my app is called myapp and I've setup java service wrapper so that the script I run to start is called myapp. I'd like to be able to do something like this: ./myapp start Parameter1 parameter2 and have those additional parameters get passed into my application. Any ideas how to do this? I'm finding that googling and looking at the documentation is only pulling up how to use command line arguments to setup java service wrapper. I've had difficulty finding anything about passing command line arguments to your application except for having them hard coded in your wrapper.conf file. Right now I feel like my option is to take the additional command line parameters, set them to environment variables and have those hard coded in the wrapper.conf. I'd prefer not to go down that road though and am hoping I've overlooked something.

  • Changing system colors for a single application (Windows, .NET)

    I know I should generally avoid messing up with such system settings, but my application do already use nonstandard colors and I have no influence on that. I would like to be able to add standard .NET controls in some places, but their colors do not match. I would like to have a hack that would replace system colors for this one application. One more important thing to note is that it is a .NET application. My (incomplete) ideas so far were: To create a proxy User32.dll library with replaced GetSysColor, but it would be very tedious (731 functions to be redirected, 1 to be replaced) and I do not know how to force my application to use that particular copy. To intercept somehow invocations to GetSysColors (unfortunatelly it is somewhere in the CLR I think). To modify somehow .NET class SystemColors (in memory? is it possible?). Do you have any idea, what is the best (and complete) way to achieve this?
