• Android : Bitmap save to location

  I am working on a function to download an image from a web server, redisplay it on the screen, and if the user wishes to keep the image, save it on the SD card in a certain folder. Is there an easy way to take a bitmap and just save it to the SD card in a folder of my choice? My issue is that I can download the image, display it on screen as a Bitmap. The only way I have been able to find to save an image to a particular folder is to use FileOutputStream, but that requires a byte array. I am not sure how to convert (if this is even the right way) from Bitmap to byte array, so I can use a Fileoutput stream to write the data. The other option I have is it use MediaStore : MediaStore.Images.Media.insertImage(getContentResolver(), bm, barcodeNumber + ".jpg Card Image", barcodeNumber + ".jpg Card Image"); Which works fine to save to SD card, but does not allow you to customize the folder. Any assistance would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

• Weird error running com-exposed assembly

  I am facing the following issue when deploying a com-exposed assembly to my client's. The COM component should be consummed by a vb6 application. Here's how it's done 1) I have one c# project which has a class with a couple of methods exposed to COM 2) The project has references to multiple assemblies 3) I compile the project, generating a folder (named dllcom) that contains the assembly plus all the referenced dlls 4) I include in the folder a .bat which does the following: regasm /u c:\dllcom\LibInsertador.dll del LibInsertador.tlb regasm c:\dllcom\LibInsertador.dll /tlb:c:\dllcom\LibInsertador.tlb /codebase c:\dllcom\ pause 5) After running the bat locally in many workstations of my laboratory, i'm able to consume the generated tlb from my vb6 application without any problems. I'm even able to update the dll by only means of running this bat, without having to recompile the vb6 application. I mean that im not having issues of vb6 fiding and invoking the exposed com object. The problem 6) I send the SAME FOLDER to my client 7) They execute the .bat locally, without any errors 8) They execute the vb6 application, vb6 finds the main assembly, the .net code seems to run correctly (it's even able to generate a log file) until it has to intantiate it's first referenced assembly. Then, they get the following exception: "Could not load type 'GYF.Common.TypeBuilder' from assembly 'GYF_Common, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'." Where "GYF.Common" is an assembly referenced by LibInsertador and TypeBuilder is a class contained in GYF.Common. GYF.Common is not a signed assembly and it's not in the GAC, just in the same folder with Libinsertador. According to .net reflector, the version is correct. ¿Any ideas about what could be happening?

  Hi friends, To make the query simple first we can take example:- If we open the explorer in our Windows desktop how it shows us the tree. As we keep on clicking the tree it get expanded and shows the file in it. The same way I want to show a explorer which gets expanded as the user clicks on it(I want to get the business logic the UI is simple). The information of the explorer i.e. which folder has what files come in a XML format to me. I have 2 options of getting the XML either I can get the whole XML at one query(but I guess this might slow the application if the XML is quite big). OR I can get the XML for every list like first only the root structure then if user clicks on any folder in root I can get the list(the files or folders inside that folder) of that particular folder. Now the question is What would be the approach to implement both the method and which would be the best. Should I need to create some dictionary to maintain the link of the files like which file is inside what. I am not able to get as how I would be able to link all the files. Any hint or direction would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

If i understand properly because i am using a shared server, and that Dreamhost doesn't suppose rails 3.2.8 I must use FCGI, although i am not sure how to install and to make it run properly. • VBScript Catching Erroring Varialble Value

  I have a VB Script (.vbs file) that is just a simple directory listing of a drive. It will the base of a drive back up script. But when running it as it is below, I am getting a Permission Denied error on some folder. What I need to find is what that folder is so I can figure out what the problem is with the folder. The line that is giving the error is "For Each TempFolder In MoreFolders". So what I am trying to figure out is how to WScript.Echo the current path (objDirectory) if there is an error. I am not sure if it matters much, but just in case, the error that I am getting is Permission Denied 800A0046 on line 12. So some folder, I do not know which one, is not letting me look inside. • Unable to create website error (NEW)

  I copied my ClickOnce deployment to my C:/Inetpub/ folder on my webserver and I deleted my Virtual directory. I deleted the WpfApplication1 folder beneath wwwroot in Win Explorer. Then I turned on Web Sharing for this folder. Then I viewed my IIS Manager and this new Share name appeared under wwwroot. So now under Inetpub folder on my web server I have the following directory path: C:\Inetpub\WpfApplication1\ with contents: Application Files publish.htm setup.exe WpfApplication1.application Next, I remapped both the publishing and installation URL's for the project to http://myserver/WpfApplication1/ And I clicked Publish Now. But after I performed a Publish Now operation, I got the following error on my development server (D610-M): Error 1 Failed to connect to 'http://myserver/WpfApplication1/' with the following error: Unable to create the Web site 'http://myserver/WpfApplication1/'. The Web server does not appear to have any authentication methods enabled. It asked for user authentication, but did not send a WWW-Authenticate header. 1 1 WpfApplication1 On my webserver, when I click Browse from the IIS Manager on the WpfApplication1 directory, it shows me the Install page. But after I click the Browse button, it returns an error which says: The remote name could not be resolved: 'd610-m' (D610-M is the name of my development server). How do I fix this?

• Ruby on Rails - Static page as start page

  Hello! I am developing an app in RoR which has static and dynamic parts. The static portion is placed in the public/ folder of the app. Now if i have an index.html in my public folder then i will not be able to use the routes configured in my routes.rb The default configurations like map.connect /:controller/:action will not be usable if i have an index.html. So i removed the index html. Now i have a static page startpage.html in my public/ folder which has to be the starting page of the app. And the i have links in it for other static/dynamic pages. The RoR app is hosted in apache and i tried to configure the Virtual Host configuration by adding the DirectoryIndex param so that when ever a request comes for the site it will direct it to the startpage.html but still it takes me to the default controller that i have specified in routes.rb with map.root I dont want to add a dummy controller and action and create a view which has the startpage and configure routes.rb to use it as the root. What i am looking to do here is Basically startpage.html should be my first page in the app served as a static page from the public/ folder. This will then have links to other pages and controllers/actions Here i am not able to apache to redirect to the html page instead of passing on the control to rails application. Directory listing is also enabled by using Options Indexes but still no change. Any pointers anyone?

  I have faced serious difficulties while installing sfJqueryTreeDoctrineManagerPlugin to Symfony 1.4 w/ Doctrine ORM. The installation directly from the server did not work out like with previous plugins that I have installed: C:\pathsymfony plugin:install sfJqueryTreeDoctrineManagerPlugin plugin installing plugin "sfJqueryTreeDoctrineManagerPlugin" No release available for plugin "sfJqueryTreeDoctrineManagerPlugin" This is why I needed to install the plugin by downloading the tgz-archive and install it manually like this: C:\pathsymfony plugin:install "C:\path\to\downloads\sfJqueryTreeDoctrineManagerPlugin-1.2.4.tgz" plugin installing plugin "C:\path\to\downloads\sfJqueryTreeDoctrineManagerPlugin-1.2.4.tgz" sfSymfonyPluginManager Installing web data for plugin I guess everything should be fine this far? The file sfJqueryTreeDoctrineHelper.php exists indeed but not in any previously mentioned folder. The file can only be found in the folder \plugins\sfJqueryTreeDoctrineManagerPlugin\lib\helper. I guess that Symfony doesn't look to that folder while finding helpers? I have tried to move the helper file to one of the previously mentioned folders. As expected, that changes the error. Now I get: 500 | Internal Server Error | sfConfigurationException The component does not exist: "sfJqueryTreeDoctrineManager", "manager". Unfortunately I can't figure out how should I be able to retrieve the "missing" component from the correct folder. I would be very grateful for any advice to help me forward. By the way, I am aware that there are other nested-set / tree plugins available for Symfony (like sfDoctrineTreePlugin and caPropelTreePlugin) but unluckily those are either uncompatible or too limited for my needs.

But i dont like that if i delete my icons from directory of project. there is error in my project. I decide to add icons in .resx file.   I am trying to create a Macro that either runs on close or on save to backup the file to a different location. There are several possible reasons: The file name or path does not exist The file is being used by another program The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a... I know the path is correct, I also know that the file is not open anywhere else. The workbook has the same name as the one I'm trying to save over but it should just overwrite.   Hi there. I'm working on a Zend Framework project where I've stumbled across a bit of a problem. The problem originates from the fact that modules are 2nd class citizens in Zend Framework. In my project, I'd like for each module to have a folder containing files which are to be accessed from the outside - files such as stylesheets, javascripts and images. Now, how is this to be done. With a Zend Framework project I have a folder structure which looks like this: application/ modules/ moduleOne/ public/ stylesheet.css moduleTwo/ moduleThree/ public/ index.php The standard .htaccess file located in the public/ folder holds this: SetEnv APPLICATION_ENV development RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -s [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -l [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d RewriteRule ^.*$ - [NC,L] RewriteRule ^.*$ index.php [NC,L] The way it works, is that the project's apache DocumentRoot is the public/ folder. All requests gets redirected through the index.php file where Zend Framework's router component takes over. Now, I'm by no means an expert with Apache nor mod_rewrite so pardon me if this is just silly. I imagine that I implement an extra step in the existing rewrite rule so that if I request http://project/public/moduleOne/stylesheet.css it will for instance resolve to /var/www/project/application/modules/moduleOne/public/stylesheet.css. So the steps which need to be done is to check if the first element in the URI is public/ if it is, we take the next segment as the modules name and use that in the path we're trying to resolve to and attempt to serve the file. • How do I add IIS Virtual Directories and arbitrary files in TFS Solution

  We have a web portal product from which we customize portals from customers. We use the precompiled web app and create a virtual directory (vd) where the customization resides. In addition to this we do some changes web.config in the web app folder. We would obviously like to keep these customizations under TFS source control. When I try to add the precompiled web app (which I don't want to add to source control), a warning tells me that the vds cannot be added. If I only add the folder that is referenced to by the vd, I lose the references to assemblies in the precompiled web app. My questions are: How do I structure a solution for adding IIS (sub application level) virtual directories and still retain the references to assemblies? Is it possible to add other directories/files from the web application level (like App_Theme, web.config etc.) to the solution? Since we already use Visual Source Safe, we have established a tree structure for each customization project: Project Root | |-Custom Sql | |-Custom Portal Files (which is added as a virtual directory) | |-Other Customizations I could probably do a lot of this manually through the source control explorer, but I'd like to have everything done through a solution. I've followed the instructions using this article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb668986.aspx, but this doesn't address the exact problem that I have. Oh, and we are currently using Visual Source Safe for portal customizaton, but are eager to make the move to TFS. TIA

  Hello, I'm uploading images to a folder and I want to display each new image on a web page every time it is saved in the folder. I can display the initial image, which is already in the folder, and I can also detect when a new image is saved into the folder but I don't know how to display the new images. I'm new to web development. Can somebody help me?   i have set up a svn repository in a remote ubuntu server using webdav (http://ip/svn). but i have some questions: should i create one svn repository for each project folder? so i should use "svnadmin create" 5 times for 5 projects? or should i import them to seperate folders in the svn repository? should i after i have created a svn repo, import one project folder into it with "svn import" and then DELETE my original local folder thus only having it in the svn repo in the remote ubuntu server? is this safe or should i still have a local copy for some reason (cause i wont work in that one)? i use netbeans to check out projects from svn repo, then i edit the files and commit the changes. but how should i do to update the live web server content (in /var/www)? should i in my ubuntu server use "svn checkout" and check it out to /var/www or should i use netbeans to check out to a local folder and then upload the files to /var/www with ftp or webdav (and which one of them should i use)? so i got a svn repo and lets say 4 programmers are working with it, checking out and commiting. how do i check what is happening in the repo, which one made which changes, and all the changes from day 1 to day 213? does netbeans/eclipse letting me see this kind of information or do i download another application for it? i should have one svn user for each programmer in the ubuntu server? is this accomplished by using "htpasswd" 4 times for 4 programmers? how do i couple all these users to same group so that i could modify file access specific for the svn group and all its members?

• Why are my Flex resource bundles not being loaded?

  I have an Actionscript module in the flex source folder filterModules, which is one of two additional source folders in my project (the main source folder is reports, but I'm not dealing with anything in there right now). Here's the MXML content that references the resources. ... This array is assigned to the dataProvider field of a ComboBox. It's not bound using the bindings, presumably for reasons that made sense to the original developer, and it'd be nontrivial to change the class to make that happen. I additionally have a resource property file in a folder resources/en_US and I have the source folder resources/{locale} in the project source settings. My additional compiler options are -locale en_US. The resource property file is resources/en_US/labels.properties (All paths are relative to the flash builder project root) and contains (amongst other things) these keys: metric.q3 = Overall Satisfaction metric.q5 = Personnel metric.q9a = Issue Resolution metric.q42 = Visit Duration Sat metric.q34 = Visit Duration I have written some FlexUnit tests that run in my local Flash Player that exercise these resources -- they check that every label is represented in the metrics array, for example, so I know that the resource file is loaded when run locally. However, when I copy the module .swf file over to my server, the combo box to which the array is assigned is empty. I copy the .swf like so, if it matters: rsync -rlDv --inplace -T /tmp ~/projects/flex_reports/bin-debug/rankingFilter.swf HOSTNAME:WEBROOT/flashPath/ Why is this? I am not able to debug the remote module because our surrounding site sets up a lot of context and makes some database calls to determine which module to load. I'm hoping to get some pointers on why resource bundles might not show up. I'd understand it if the array was present with wrong labels, but the array is instead completely empty, which is pretty odd.

• Use .bat file to recursively loop through folders and get hold of .class files

  HI all, This is what i'm trying to do. I have a .bat file which takes in a argument which is nothing but a folder name. What i do first is go one level up (cd ..). Now in this directory i have 3 folders and each folders have sub-folders and have .class files in them. What i want to do is recursively loop through the folders and get hold of the .class files. Once this is done i want to echo the target folder of the .class file as well as echo the name of the.class file. So c:\temp\potter\myclass.class. I would echo out c:\temp\potter\ and myclass. I'm able to do this by writing a separate bat file which works. But when i integrate this with the recursive function it seems to break. • Spring can't find a lib and webapp doesn't start up in tomcat 6

  I've this problem using STS: I'm building a simple Spring app, just to try out features like MVC and persistence. Now I've created something very simple, out of a bunch of tutorials for Spring 3, that I'm using. The application fails with this, during server startup: Code: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.annotation.DefaultAnnotationHandlerMapping#0': Initialization of bean failed; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.CannotLoadBeanClassException: Cannot find class [org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.annotation.AnnotationSessionFactoryBean] for bean with name 'mySessionFactory' defined in ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/spring/appServlet/servlet-context.xml]; nested exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.annotation.AnnotationSessionFactoryBean but I've org.springframework.orm in web-inf/classes folder (I even tried putting it in web-inf/lib). As I copied these libs there, the came out in Web App Libraries folder. Building this project in STS works fine as this dependency is set up in build path throught project properties, but how do I transfer the libs to the web app? (I'm using Tomcat 6 as it is the server I'm going to use sometime in the future for production). Is this a config problem of my XML? Or am I just missing the right way to put this lib? (I encountered the same problem before, but adding the needed lib in classes worked it out). • Validation on ManyToManyField before Save in Models.py

  I have the following models: class Application(models.Model): users = models.ManyToManyField(User, through='Permission') folder = models.ForeignKey(Folder) class Folder(models.Model): company = models.ManyToManyField(Compnay) class UserProfile(models.Model): user = models.OneToOneField(User, related_name='profile') company = models.ManyToManyField(Company) What I would like to do is to check whether one of the users of the Application has the same company as the Application (via Folder). If this is the case the Application instance should not be saved. The problem is that the ManyToManyFields aren't updated until after the 'post-save' signal. The only option seems to be the new m2m_changed signal. But I'm not sure how I then roll back the save that has already happened. Another option would be to rewrite the save function (in models.py, because I'm talking about the admin here), but I'm not sure how I could access the manytomanyfield content. Finally I've read something about rewriting the save function in the admin of the model in admin.py, however I still wouldn't know how you would access the manytomanyfield content. I have been searching for this everywhere but nothing I come across seems to work for me. If anything is unclear, please tell me. Thanks for your help! Heleen

I need to copy the worksheets in all these excel files to a single excel file. using Interop and Reflection namespaces heres is what I have accomplished so far. • What *is* an IPM.DistList?

  I'm trying to get the recipient addresses within an IPM.DistList that is stored in a public folder (of type contacts) in Exchange 2003. The typeName of the object (once I get hold of it) is a Message (with a parent object being a Messages collection) and the messageType is "IPM.DistList". I can find all sorts of things about IPM.DistListItems, which you would think an IPM.DistList would contain, but there apparently isn't any documentation on the DistList (that I can find) and DistListItems documentation lists no parent possibilities in MSDN. I'll state it another way in case I've left you confused: We have an Exchange 2003 info store with Public Folders. Within those Public Folders is a [sub]folder (that holds items of type "Contact") that has a bunch of distribution lists (IPM.DistList's) that have contact entries, members of the list essentially. I need to get the addresses of the members of the lists in the Public Folder sub-folder using any VB language, because the company I work for hired me as a VB guy and expects me to write VB solutions, even though I could do it in C++... alas, I digress. VB is the language I'm supposed to figure this out in. (.net, script, vba, vb6, it doesn't matter which one. Yes, I know vb.net is not really related to those that came before, but they don't know that.) Anyone ran into anything like this? Am I just not finding the IPM.DistList documentation but it does actually exist somewhere? This isn't a Message.MAPIOBJECT (iUnknown) problem is it? Thanks.... Jeremy

• Installing a group of .deb files in Ubuntu

  Hi. I have a directory of .deb files which I copied from the cache folder of apt. There are many applications and Ubuntu updates among them. but there's no dependency failure because they were all downloaded by 'add/remove applications' and 'update manager' automatically. Now I have installed the same version of Ubuntu (9.04) and I want to install those apps and updates again(though they are not new versions). In other words, I want to make this fresh Ubuntu install exactly like the old one but without downloading any thing and using only those .deb files that I copied. All I have is an archive folder containing the .deb files and a 'pkgcache.bin' file. I know I can double-click the .deb files and install them manually but then I have to find out and follow the dependencies one by one from the installer errors. I have also tried adding an offline repository but it didn't work. I think because all of my .deb's are in on folder, and there is no separate 'main', 'restricted', ... folder?! Is there a way to do all of this automatically? thanks

• Application runs fine when executed directly, fails as scheduled task (security issues)

  I have an application that loads some files from a network share (the input folder), extracts certain data from them and saves new files (zips them with SharpZLib) on a different network share (output folder). This application runs fine when you open it directly, but when it is set to a scheduled task, it fails in numerous places. This application is scheduled on a Win 2003 server. Let me say right off the bat, the scheduled task is set to use the same login account that I am currently logged in with, so it's not because it's using the LocalSystem account. Something else is going on here. Originally, the application was assigning a drive letter to the input folder using WNetGetConnectionA(). I don't remember why this was done, someone else on our team did that and she's gone now. I think there was some issue with using the WinZip command line with a UNC path. I switched from the WinZip command line utility to using SharpZLib because there were other issues with using the WinZip command line. Anyway, the application failed when trying to assign a drive letter with the error "connection already established." That wasn't true and even after trying WNetCancelConnection(), it still didn't work. Then I decided to just map the drive manually on the server. Then when the app calls Directory.Exists(inputFolderPath) it returns false, even though it does exist. So, for whatever reason, I cannot read this directory from within the application. I can manually navigate to this folder in Windows Explorer and open files. The app log file shows that the user executing it on the schedule is the user I expect, not LocalSystem. Any ideas?
