  • Alloy MVC Framework Titanium Network (Model)

    - by flyingDuck
    I'm trying to authenticate using the Model in Alloy. I have been trying to figure this problem out since yesterday. If anybody could help me, I'd really appreciate it. So, I have a view login.xml, then a controller login.js. The login.js contains the following function: var user = Alloy.Models.user; //my user.js model function login(e) { if($.username.value !== '' && $.password.value !== ''){ if(user.login($.username.value, $.password.value)){ Alloy.createController('home').getView().open(); $.login.close(); } }else{ alert('Username and/or Password required!'); } } Then in my user.js model, it's like this: extendModel : function(Model) { _.extend(Model.prototype, { login: function(username, password) { var first_name, last_name, email; var _this = this; var url = 'http://myurl.com/test.php'; var auth = Ti.Network.createHTTPClient({ onerror: function(e){ alert(e.error); }, onload: function(){ var json = this.responseText; var response = JSON.parse(json); if(response.logged == true){ first_name = response.f_name; last_name = response.l_name; email = response.email; _this.set({ loggedIn: 1, username: email, realname: first_name + ' ' + last_name, email: email, }); _this.save(); }else{ alert(response.message); } }, }); auth.open('POST', url); var params = { usernames: username, passwords: password, }; auth.send(params); alert(_this.get('email')); //alert email }, }); When I click on login in login.xml it calls the function login in index.js. So, now my problem is that, when I click the button for the first time, I get an empty alert from alert(_this.get('email')), but then when I click the button the second time, everything works fine, it alerts the email. I have no idea what's going on. Thank you for the help.

  • How can I dial the default connexion on Pocket PC 2003 ?

    - by Jalil
I am working on a PPC2003 application. The devices on which the application has to run have a modem and VPN connection set. I want to automatically dial the system default "work" connection, which is the VPN one, which dial the modem one first. The user has another application who does automatically make the system dial the default connection. But I can't undertand how to do it from my Compact .NET application. I tried using OpenNETCF net package, but I could not make it work.

  • Linux network stack : adding protocols with an LKM and dev_add_pack

    - by agent0range
Hello, I have recently been trying to familiarize myself with the Linux Networking stack and device drivers (have both similarly named O'Reilly books) with the eventual goal of offloading UDP. I have already implemented UDP on the NIC but now the hard part... Rather than ask for assistance on this larger goal I was hoping someone could clarify for me a particular snippet I found that is part of a LKM which registeres a new protocol (OTP) that acts as a filter between the device driver and network stack. http://www.phrack.org/archives/55/p55_0x0c_Building%20Into%20The%20Linux%20Network%20Layer_by_lifeline%20&%20kossak.txt (Note: this Phrack article contains three different modules, code for the OTP is at the bottom of the page) In the init function of his example he has: otp_proto.type = htons(ETH_P_ALL); otp_proto.func = otp_func; dev_add_pack(&otp_proto); which (if I understand correctly) should register otp_proto as a packet sniffer and put it into the ptype_all data structure. My question is about the dev_add_pack. Is it the case that the protocol being registered as a filter will always be placed at this layer between L2 and the device driver? Or, for instance could I make such a filtering occur between the application and transport layers (analyze socket parameters) using the same process? I apologize if this is confusing - I am having some trouble wrapping my head around the bigger picture when it comes to modules altering kernel stack functionality. Thanks

  • paket drop and splits in udp tunnel

    - by sr-dusad
hi guys ! Currently I am working on video conferencing project. For this i m using pwnat for nat traversing. pwnat is based on udp tunneling.I m using the TCP connection for data transmission. My problem is that when i send a packet , it does not reach properly at its destination side . Sometime it drops the packet and many times it breaks ( split ) the packet into pieces. Please Help me .. How can i send and recieve a packet into single piece. So, i can draw image properly and play sound. Any kind of help will be appriciated . Thanks in advance

  • Active directory logonCount is 0, though the user has logged in

    - by Arun
For a user in active directory, the properties hold values for lastlogontime & lastlogontimestamp but the logoncount is 0. I am having only one domain controller in that domain. I found from surfing, that logonCount value of 0 indicates that the value is unknown. But I am totally confused with why it is unknown. Is that an issue with AD.

  • Host ::1 resolves to remote IP

    - by thebuckst0p
/etc/hosts files usually have this line, ::1 localhost. I thought ::1 was the equivalent of 127.0.0.1/localhost, and from my reading it seems to be the IPv6 version. So I was using it in Apache for firewalling, "Allow from ::1" and it only allowed local. Then suddenly that stopped working, so I pinged ::1 and got a remote IP address. I tracerouted it and it went through my ISP, through some Microsoft server, then another half dozen steps of asterisks... I'm not sure why this would be (the remote IP), but it doesn't seem good. I grep'd my hard drive for the remote IP and it doesn't appear anywhere. Is this some indicator that I'm being hacked, or normal behavior? Maybe my IPv6 settings are wrong? (This is a brand new MacBookPro with Snow Leopard.) Any ideas about this would be great - what is ::1 supposed to be, why would it be remote, should I be worried, how do I get it back to localhost? Thank you!

  • Strange client's address returned throug accept(..) function.

    - by Negai
    Hi everyone, I'm a socket programming newbie. Here's a snippet: struct sockaddr_storage client_addr; ... client_addr_size = sizeof(client_addr); client_socket = accept( server_socket, (struct sockaddr *)&client_addr, &client_addr_size ); ... result = inet_ntop( AF_INET, &((struct sockaddr_in *)&client_addr)->sin_addr, client_addr_str, sizeof(client_addr_str) ); Whenever the client connects the address I get is 0.0.0.0 regardless from the host. Can anybody explain, what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

  • How to change internal buffer size of DataInputStream

    - by Gaks
I'm using this kind of code for my TCP/IP connection: sock = new Socket(host, port); sock.setKeepAlive(true); din = new DataInputStream(sock.getInputStream()); dout = new DataOutputStream(sock.getOutputStream()); Then, in separate thread I'm checking din.available() bytes to see if there are some incoming packets to read. The problem is, that if a packet bigger than 2048 bytes arrives, the din.available() returns 2048 anyway. Just like there was a 2048 internal buffer. I can't read those 2048 bytes when I know it's not the full packet my application is waiting for. If I don't read it however - it'll all stuck at 2048 bytes and never receive more. Can I enlarge the buffer size of DataInputStream somehow? Socket receive buffer is 16384 as returned by sock.getReceiveBufferSize() so it's not the socket limiting me to 2048 bytes. If there is no way to increase the DataInputStream buffer size - I guess the only way is to declare my own buffer and read everything from DataInputStream to that buffer? Regards

  • java string detection of ip

    - by user384706
Hi, Assume a java string that contains an IP (v4 or v6) or a hostname. What is the best way to detect among these cases? I am not interested so much on whether the IP is in valid range (e.g. 999.999.999.999 for IPv4). I am interested in just a way to detect if a String is a hostname or an IP (v4 or v6). Initially I though this: if(theString.indexOf("@")!=-1){ //Not an Ip } but I am not sure if I should always expect a format containing @ always. Thanks

  • Why does Java force user-agent through simple Socket IO?

    - by Zombies
    I am using nothing but raw Socket IO. There isn't one HttpURLConnection nor any http client libs in my project. When I run it through wireshark I see somethign very revealing: GET / HTTP/1.1 User-Agent: Java/1.6.0_15 Host: www.google.com Accept: text/html, image/gif, image/jpeg, *; q=.2, */*; q=.2 Connection: keep-alive Here is the crazy part, I never put ANY of that in my original request. My original request was: "GET http://www.google.com/ HTTP/1.1\r\n" + "Host: www.google.com\r\n" + "User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100214 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.8\r\n" + "Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8\r\n" + "Accept-Language: en-us,en;q=0.5\r\n" + "Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7\r\n" + "Keep-Alive: 300\r\n" + "\r\n"; I am using the default Sun JVM.

  • Problems with real-valued input deep belief networks (of RBMs)

    - by Junier
I am trying to recreate the results reported in Reducing the dimensionality of data with neural networks of autoencoding the olivetti face dataset with an adapted version of the MNIST digits matlab code, but am having some difficulty. It seems that no matter how much tweaking I do on the number of epochs, rates, or momentum the stacked RBMs are entering the fine-tuning stage with a large amount of error and consequently fail to improve much at the fine-tuning stage. I am also experiencing a similar problem on another real-valued dataset. For the first layer I am using a RBM with a smaller learning rate (as described in the paper) and with negdata = poshidstates*vishid' + repmat(visbiases,numcases,1); I'm fairly confident I am following the instructions found in the supporting material but I cannot achieve the correct errors. Is there something I am missing? See the code I'm using for real-valued visible unit RBMs below, and for the whole deep training. The rest of the code can be found here. rbmvislinear.m: epsilonw = 0.001; % Learning rate for weights epsilonvb = 0.001; % Learning rate for biases of visible units epsilonhb = 0.001; % Learning rate for biases of hidden units weightcost = 0.0002; initialmomentum = 0.5; finalmomentum = 0.9; [numcases numdims numbatches]=size(batchdata); if restart ==1, restart=0; epoch=1; % Initializing symmetric weights and biases. vishid = 0.1*randn(numdims, numhid); hidbiases = zeros(1,numhid); visbiases = zeros(1,numdims); poshidprobs = zeros(numcases, numhid); neghidprobs = zeros(numcases, numhid); posprods = zeros(numdims, numhid); negprods = zeros(numdims, numhid); vishidinc = zeros(numdims, numhid); hidbiasinc = zeros(1,numhid); visbiasinc = zeros(1,numdims); sigmainc = zeros(1,numhid); batchposhidprobs=zeros(numcases, numhid, numbatches); end for epoch = epoch:maxepoch, fprintf(1,'epoch %d\r',epoch); errsum=0; for batch = 1:numbatches, if (mod(batch,100)==0) fprintf(1,' %d ',batch); end %%%%%%%%% START POSITIVE PHASE %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% data = batchdata(:,:,batch); poshidprobs = 1./(1 + exp(-data*vishid - repmat(hidbiases,numcases,1))); batchposhidprobs(:,:,batch)=poshidprobs; posprods = data' * poshidprobs; poshidact = sum(poshidprobs); posvisact = sum(data); %%%%%%%%% END OF POSITIVE PHASE %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% poshidstates = poshidprobs > rand(numcases, numhid); %%%%%%%%% START NEGATIVE PHASE %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% negdata = poshidstates*vishid' + repmat(visbiases,numcases,1);% + randn(numcases, numdims) if not using mean neghidprobs = 1./(1 + exp(-negdata*vishid - repmat(hidbiases,numcases,1))); negprods = negdata'*neghidprobs; neghidact = sum(neghidprobs); negvisact = sum(negdata); %%%%%%%%% END OF NEGATIVE PHASE %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% err= sum(sum( (data-negdata).^2 )); errsum = err + errsum; if epoch>5, momentum=finalmomentum; else momentum=initialmomentum; end; %%%%%%%%% UPDATE WEIGHTS AND BIASES %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% vishidinc = momentum*vishidinc + ... epsilonw*( (posprods-negprods)/numcases - weightcost*vishid); visbiasinc = momentum*visbiasinc + (epsilonvb/numcases)*(posvisact-negvisact); hidbiasinc = momentum*hidbiasinc + (epsilonhb/numcases)*(poshidact-neghidact); vishid = vishid + vishidinc; visbiases = visbiases + visbiasinc; hidbiases = hidbiases + hidbiasinc; %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% END OF UPDATES %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% end fprintf(1, '\nepoch %4i error %f \n', epoch, errsum); end dofacedeepauto.m: clear all close all maxepoch=200; %In the Science paper we use maxepoch=50, but it works just fine. numhid=2000; numpen=1000; numpen2=500; numopen=30; fprintf(1,'Pretraining a deep autoencoder. \n'); fprintf(1,'The Science paper used 50 epochs. • Dynamically find other hosts in a LAN in Java

    - by Federico Cristina
A while ago I developed a little LAN chat app. in Java which allows chatting with other hosts, send images, etc. Although it was created just for fun, now it's being used where I work. Currently, there is no "chat server" on the app. where each client registers, updates it's status, etc. (I liked the idea of symmetric design and not depending on a server running on some other machine). Instead, each host is a client/server which has a hosts.properties file with the hostname of the other hosts, and - for instance - broadcasts to each one of them when sending a massive message/image/whatever. In the beginning there were just a couple of hosts, so this hosts.properties file wasn't an issue. But as the amount of users increased, the need of updating that file was a bit daunting. So now I've decided to get rid of it, and each time the app. starts, dynammically find the other active hosts. However, I cannot find the correct way of implement this. I've tried starting different threads, each one of them searching for other hosts in a known range of IP addresses. Something like this (simplified for the sake of readability): /** HostsLocator */ public static void searchForHosts(boolean waitToEnd) { for (int i=0; i < MAX_IP; i+= MAX_IP / threads) { HostsLocator detector = new HostsLocator(i, i+(MAX_IP / threads - 1)); // range: from - to new Thread(detector).start(); } } public void run() { for (int i=from; i<=to; i++) findHosts( maskAddress + Integer.toString(i) ); } public static boolean findHosts(String IP) { InetAddress address = InetAddress.getByName(IP); if ( address.isReachable(CONNECTION_TIME_OUT) ) // host found! } However: With a single thread and a low value in CONNECTION_TIME_OUT (500ms) I get wrong Host Not Found status for for hosts actually active. With a high value in CONNECTION_TIME_OUT (5000ms) and only one single thread takes forever to end With several threads I've also found problems similar like the first one, due to collisions. So... I guess there's a better way of solving this problem but I couldn't find it. Any advice? Thanks!

  • Enumerating computers in NT4 domain using WNetEnumResourceW (C++) or DirectoryEntry (C#)

    - by Kevin Davis
I'm trying to enumerate computers in NT4 domains (not Active Directory) and support Unicode NetBIOS names. According to MSDN, WNetEnumResourceW is the Unicode counterpart of WNetEnumResource which to me would imply that using this would do the trick. However, I have not been able to get Unicode NetBIOS names properly using WNetEnumResourceW. I've also tried the C# rough equivalent DirectoryEntry using the WinNT: provider with no luck on Unicode names either. If I use DirectoryEntry on Active Directory (using the LDAP: provider) I do get Unicode names back. I noticed that during some debugging my code using DirectoryEntry and the WinNT: provider, the exceptions I saw were of type System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException which tends to make me believe that this is just calling WNetEnumResourceW via COM. This web page implies that for some Net APIs the MS documentation is incomplete and possibly inaccurate which further confuses things. Additionally I've found that using the C# method which certainly results in cleaner, more understandable code also yields incomplete results in enumerating computers in domains\workgroups. Does anyone have any insight on this? Is it possible that computer acting as the WINS server is mangling the name? How would I determine this? Thanks

  • Algorithm for non-contiguous netmask match

    - by Gianluca
Hi, I have to write a really really fast algorithm to match an IP address to a list of groups, where each group is defined using a notation like 192.168.0.0/252.255.0.255. As you can see, the bitmask can contain zeros even in the middle, so the traditional "longest prefix match" algorithms won't work. If an IP matches two groups, it will be assigned to the group containing most 1's in the netmask. I'm not working with many entries (let's say < 1000) and I don't want to use a data structure requiring a large memory footprint (let's say 1-2 MB), but it really has to be fast (of course I can't afford a linear search). Do you have any suggestion? Thanks guys. UPDATE: I found something quite interesting at http://www.cse.usf.edu/~ligatti/papers/grouper-conf.pdf, but it's still too memory-hungry for my utopic use case

  • Is it possible to have more than P2P on iPhone with Bluetooth

    - by Ricardo Ferreira
Hi all, This seems like a straightforward google search answer, but after a while, I still can't be 100% sure of this. I've found Z2Live (http://www.z2live.com/), which is basically a layer above GameKit and they too use only P2P with Bluetooth. So I just want to be sure if I can only have P2P with Bluetooth or if I can have like 4 iPhones all connected to a server (who will also be a client) using Bluetooth. Thanks in advance.
