  • Writing a template for XSLT Copy-Of to transform a message with differences. How?

    - by Emanuel Schuster
I have an xml message that is in the older schema (xsd) format. My new schema is exactly the same but I embedded an element inside the older one. For example : My old schema had an element : <exclude> MyRestriction </exclude> but my new schema is like this : <exclude> <restriction> MyRestriction </restriction> </exclude> and the entire message is the same as before. Last time I used to do a copy-of but now I need to have a template that copy-of everything but move the value of the exclude to the restriction tag. Anyone can help me please ? Thanks

  • Convert integer to equivalent number of blank spaces.

    - by mike
I was wondering what the easiest way is to convert an integer to the equivalent number of blank spaces. I need it for the spaces between nodes when printing a binary search tree. I tried this `int position = printNode.getPosition(); String formatter = "%1"+position+"s%2$s\n"; System.out.format(formatter, "", node.element);` But I am getting almost 3 times as many spaces compared to the int value of position. I'm not really sure if I am formatting the string right either. Any suggestions would be great! If it makes it clearer, say position = 6; I want 6 blank spaces printed before my node element.

  • do.call(rbind, list) for uneven number of column

    - by h.l.m
I have a list, with each element being a character vector, of differing lengths I would like to bind the data as rows, so that the column names 'line up' and if there is extra data then create column and if there is missing data then create NAs Below is a mock example of the data I am working with x <- list() x[[1]] <- letters[seq(2,20,by=2)] names(x[[1]]) <- LETTERS[c(1:length(x[[1]]))] x[[2]] <- letters[seq(3,20, by=3)] names(x[[2]]) <- LETTERS[seq(3,20, by=3)] x[[3]] <- letters[seq(4,20, by=4)] names(x[[3]]) <- LETTERS[seq(4,20, by=4)] The below line would normally be what I would do if I was sure that the format for each element was the same... do.call(rbind,x) I was hoping that someone had come up with a nice little solution that matches up the column names and fills in blanks with NAs whilst adding new columns if in the binding process new columns are found...

  • How to correctly bind an object to a WPF DataGrid?

I'm trying to get a WPF DataGrid to work from a user control I'm building. Things seems to work fine. But I noticed this message in the Output window in the IDE: System.Windows.Data Error: 39 : BindingExpression path error: 'Name' property not found on 'object' ''Object' (HashCode=18165668)'. • Alter a function as a parameter before evaluating it?

    - by Shane
Is there any way, given a function passed as a parameter, to alter its input parameter string before evaluating it? Here's pseudo-code for what I'm hoping to achieve: test.func <- function(a, b) { # here I want to alter the b expression before evaluating it: b(..., val1=a) } Given the function call passed to b, I want to add in a as another parameter without needing to always specify ... in the b call. So the output from this test.func call should be: test.func(a="a", b=paste(1, 2)) "1" "2" "a"

  • How can I print N array elements with delimiters per line?

    - by Mark B
    I have an array in Perl I want to print with space delimiters between each element, except every 10th element which should be newline delimited. There aren't any spaces in the elements if that matters. I've written a function to do it with for and a counter, but I wondered if there's a better/shorter/canonical Perl way, perhaps a special join syntax or similar. My function to illustrate: sub PrintArrayWithNewlines { my $counter = 0; my $newlineIndex = shift @_; foreach my $item (@_) { ++$counter; print "$item"; if($counter == $newlineIndex) { $counter = 0; print "\n"; } else { print " "; } } }

  • Serialising and Deserialising Requests and Responses exactly as WCF does

    - by PeteAC
I need to deserialise SOAP request XML to .Net request object and to serialise .Net response object to SOAP response XML. I need this to work exactly as WCF does, using the same XML element local names and namespace URIs. The .Net request and response classes were generated from WSDL using SVCUTIL. I have looked at XmlSerializer class, which does most of it, but doesn't take notice of certain WCF-specific custom attributes, like MessageBodyMemberAttribute. I also looked at DataContractSerializer, but that had exceedingly strange ideas about what element names and namespaces to use. Finally, I tried XmlSerializer with an XmlTypeMapping generated by a SoapReflectionImporter; this didn't seem to use any namespaces at all. I rather suspect that I need to be using one of the above techniques, but with some additional subtlety, of which I am unaware. But perhaps there is an entirely different approach? All suggestions welcome.

  • A depth (z-index) nightmare.

    - by JCOC611
The best way to illustrate this question is with...a Fiddle! Before you visit the fiddle, notice there is text behind the grayest element, which is on top of a light gray element that has a border. There is a main wrapping div (root), and two wrapping divs inside (wrap1 and wrap2). The problem here is that I need the content of wrap2 (highlight) to be behind the content of wrap1 (text), but in front of the background of the root. This, however, must not change: The HTML, the elements and wraps should be left untouched. Excluding the order of wrap1 and wrap2 inside root. The highlight div must keep the absolute positioning. Styling highlight with background-color is not an option, the existence of highlight is a must. PS: the italics reference the id's of <div>s in the fiddle example, for whomever was too lazy to visit it.

  • Getting HIERARCHY_REQUEST_ERR when using Javascript to recursively generate a nested list

    - by Mark
I have a method that is trying to take in a list. This list can contain data and other lists. The end goal is to try to convert something like this ["a", "b", ["c", "d"]] into <ol> <li> <b>a</a> </li> <li> <b>b</a> </li> <ol> <li> <b>c</a> </li> <li> <b>d</a> </li> </ol> </ol> The code is: function $(tagName) { return document.createElement(tagName); } //returns an html element representing data //data should be an array or some sort of value function tagMaker(data) { tag = null; if(data instanceof Array) { //data is an array, represent using <ol> tag = $("ol"); for(i=0; i<data.length; i++) { //construct one <li> for each item in the array listItem = $("li"); //get the html element representing this particular item in the array child = tagMaker(data[i]); //<li>*html for child*</li> listItem.appendChild(child); //add this item to the list tag.appendChild(listItem); } } else { //data is not an array, represent using <b>data</b> tag = $("b"); tag.innerHTML = data.toString(); } return tag; } Calling tagMaker throws HIERARCHY_REQUEST_ERR: DOM Exception 3, rather than generating a helpful HTML element object which I was planning to append to document.body.

  • How do I write a bash script to restart a process if it dies?

    - by Tom
I have a python script that'll be checking a queue and performing an action on each item: # checkqueue.py while True: check_queue() do_something() How do I write a bash script that will check if it's running, and if not, start it. Roughly the following pseudo code (or maybe it should do something like ps | grep?): # keepalivescript.sh if processidfile exists: if processid is running: exit, all ok run checkqueue.py write processid to processidfile I'll call that from a crontab: # crontab */5 * * * * /path/to/keepalivescript.sh Thanks in advance.

  • AS3 Add Event Listener in For Each

    - by Vinzcent
Hi, I would like to add an eventlistener to all the elements I create in a for each loop. But apperently the eventlistener only works with the latest created element. How do I add an Event Listener to every element created in the for each loop? This is my code: for each(var showCase:ShowCaseItem in _bllShowCase.arrShowCase) { var listItem:ListItemShowCase = new ListItemShowCase(showCase); listItem.y = yPos; listItem.addEventListener("ITEMDELETED", refreshShowCaseItems); this.addChild(listItem); yPos += 20; } I hope you understand my question. Thanks, Vincent

  • How efficient is a details table?

    - by Jeffrey Lott
At my job, we have pseudo-standard of creating one table to hold the "standard" information for an entity, and a second table, named like 'TableNameDetails', which holds optional data elements. On average, for every row in the main table will have about 8-10 detail rows in it. My question is: What kind of performance impacts does this have over adding these details as additional nullable columns on the main table?

  • Inserting new argument to table through search form of another table

    - by owca
In my database I have a form for searching products (fields : id, name, manufacturer_id[set to display manufacturer's name], category_id, price). I would like to have the ability of adding manufacturers through this form. So I've created vba script but it does not work. Still when I enter new name it gives me prompt to "Select element from the list". What am I doing wrong ? Private Sub manufacturer_id_NotInTheList(NewData As String, Response As Integer) Dim strSQL As String, strInfo As String strInfo = "Manufacturer " & NewData & " is not on the list." & vbCrLf & "Add?" If MsgBox(strInfo, vbYesNo + vbQuestion, "Element not on the list") = vbYes Then strSQL = "INSERT INTO manufacturer (name, country, id_distributor) VALUES ('" & NewData & "','Undefined', '0');" DoCmd.SetWarnings (False) DoCmd.RunSQL strSQL Response = acDataErrAdded Else Response = acDataErrContinue NewData = "" Me.manufacturer_id.Text = "" End If End Sub

  • Is it so bad to have heaps of elements in your DOM?

    - by alex
I am making a real estate non interactive display for their shop window. I have kicked jCarousel into doing what I want: Add panels per AJAX Towards the end of the current set, go and AJAX some new panels and insert them This works fine, but it appears calling jQuery's remove() on the prior elements cause an ugly bump. I'm not sure if calling hide() will free up any resources, as the element will still exist (and the element will be off screen anyway). I've seen this, and tried carousel.reset() from within a callback. It just clears out all the elements. This will be running on Google Chrome on Windows XP, and will solely by displaying on LCD televisions. I am wondering, if I can't find a reasonable solution to remove the extra DOM elements, will it bring my application to a crawl, or will Chrome do some clever garbage collecting? Or, how would you solve this problem? Thanks

I do not want to list all form element types (select,textarea,input,option...). I would prefer to use myForm.elements. Any ideas?

  • Replacing text with a link in jQuery

    - by Eli
I'm trying to replace a small part of text in a large HTML document with my own element which I create on the fly. The text may be a huge bulk of text, html, images, what-ever, and what I want is to find the first (or all) the position of a certain string, and replace it with an element that I create using $('< span'). Using simple text.replace('the string', $('< span')); doesn't do the trick (I'm left with [object Object] and not the actual < span that I want. The reason I don't just inject direct HTML is because I want to retain all the binds that are related to the object I'm creating. and doing a replace with a custom ID, and then attaching binds to the ID after the HTML has been altered, seems a bit dirty. Thanks for the help! :)

  • Load DOM before css?

    - by Tim
My jQuery code sets the height of an element to 0px as soon as the page loads, then animates it to 500px. In my CSS, this element is already set to 500px (in case anyone has javascript turned off). I tried 'DEFER' on the tag where I link to the stylesheet so that the CSS loads in last of all, but that causes a blank white page to show up between navigating through pages - which I don't want, because I lose the smooth page transition effects that I am after. Is there a way that I can set the height in the CSS to 0px and IF javascript IS turned off, have it set to 500px, perhaps? :\ That's what I'm after, in effect. Any ideas? Many thanks for your help.

  • jQuery .next() and .prev() not working as they should!

    - by Luca Matteis
I want to get the .next() and .prev() sibling of an HTML element without excluding TextNodes. I basically need to understand if an element is directly sorrounded by <br> HTML elements. This would return true: <br> <div></div> <br> This would return false: <br> Some text <div></div> <br> BUT this needs to also return true: <br> <div></div> <br> The third example basically uses an empty TextNode, or blankspaces, or newlines. What's the best way to do this?

  • How do I conditionally select a field from one of two tables?

    - by freakwincy
I have two tables invoices and pending_payments both of which have the following rows in common: invoice_id and balance. I want to do a select in MySQL that'll work thus: [pseudo-code] if(invoice_id exists in pending_payments table) { select balance from pending_payments where invoice_id = yadayadayada } else { select balance from invoices where invoice_id = yadayadayada } Is this even doable in MySQL? If so, how?
