    I want to rename a table... (any table.) I tried this line of code: ActiveRecord::ConnectionAdapters::SchemaStatements.rename_table(old_name, new_name) Here's the weird thing. I know I got it working the first time, but now I get this error: undefined method `rename_table' for ActiveRecord::ConnectionAdapters::SchemaStatements:Module Was there something I need to set?     I have the following linq query from o in context.Opportunities join i in context.Interactions on o.OpportunityID equals i.OpportunityID into ints from i in ints.DefaultIfEmpty() orderby i.StatusID descending, o.StatusID descending select o Now i want to then do a distinct on the opportunities table but doing so removes my orderby. I know that you can do Distinct().OrderBy but how do i get a reference to the interactions table that was joined when I'm only selecting the opportunity entity?

    Hi folks, I have a MySQL table that stores (amongst other things) a persons date of birth. Is there any way to sort the table so the next due birthday is at the top? I have the date stored in standard yyyy-mm-dd DATE format and seperate year, month and day fields so I can sort it by the first birthday of the year (ORDER BY month, day) but I can't seem to get any further.     I'm not sure if it is possible to achieve, but my costumer wants that when user taps a table view cell, an animation of a UIView sliding from left to right is committed, leaving the content under the UIView visible. My concern is about how to trigger gesture recognizer added to the upper UIVIew for the animation and do not enter in conflict with didSelectRowatIndex: table view delegate method.     I'm working on data migration, need some help on doing a macro to copy/transpose multiple columns record into individual single row. There are also a "tag" in the first row, which indicates the columns that should not be included in the copy/transpose. From: Tag x Name Jan Feb Mar Apr Larry 2 20 34 56 Harry 3 45 77 88 Marry 5 66 44 33 To: Larry Jan 2 Larry Feb 20 Larry Apr 56 Harry Jan 3 Harry Feb 45 Harry Apr 88 Marry Jan 5 Marry Feb 66 Marry Apr 33 The "Mar" data was omitted due to there's a tag (X) above it. The data might be near hundred columns (few years), and some of the months need to be omitted. Any expert able to help on this? I had been spending whole day cracking my head on this. Worse come to worse I might have to manually copy and paste, that would probably took me a decade.

    Hi all, I have an Excel worksheet which contains data in several columns. For a specific column, I will need Excel to replace all values between, say 10 to 15, by the value 1 and values between 16 and 20 by the value 2 and so forth. I know how to do it for a single value; ie: I can replace value 10 by 1, 11 by 1 and so on. But this will be a tedious exercise. Are there some lines of codes that can execute this task?     Hi all, I have created a custom control inheriting from a panel in .NET 3.5 The panel has a custom polygon border, which comes from a pointF array (In diagram, control is highlighted yellow). Fig 1 shows the control with BorderStyle none. Fig 2 with BorderStyle fixed-single As shown in Fig 2, the border follows the Rectangle bounding the control. IS there a way to make the border follow the actual border of the control set by the polygon? FYI the polygon is created using a GraphicsPath object. Drawing the line with GDI+ does not work, as the control clips the line and it looks awful... Fig1 Fig2

    I'm considering utilizing the ASP.NET Membership Provider for a few different web apps/tools with a single login approach. REQUIREMENTS User logs in to my.domain.com and sees a list of apps/tools that they have permission to use. The user selects the tool they'd like to use and clicks the link. When the tool opens, it is able to identify that they are currently logged in and who they are to identify any unique permissions to the application. I know that each app could simply point to the same back end Membership Provider DB, however will each app require a login or will it be able to identify if the user is already logged in?

  • Rotation of a single UIViewController in a UITabBarController

    Hi! I have a UITabBarController with four UINavigationControllers. Well, I want to enable the rotation just for one of the four UIViewControllers. According to Apple's doc you shouldn't subclass UITabBarController, so I don't wanna do that. All UIViewControllers should support the same orientations that it works, but that's not what I want. How can the single UIViewController, which should support the rotation, detect that the device has changed its orientation? Because unless all the UIViewControllers added to the UITabBarControllers support the same orientation, the methods of the UIViewController for managing the rotation aren't called. I've been searching now for a while, but I haven't already found a pleasant answer. I guess a lot of developers wonder how to manage that. I already thank you for your answer.

I'm currently using 2 stored procedures . - one which runs a select * from flat_file into a temp table - the other which does a select min/max from flat_file grouping by source into another temp file Im using the data retrieved using the stored procedures in a SSRS report Is is possible in a a single stored procedure to retrieve all the rows from the file within a date range and also identify the min/max values for each group retrieved ?e

    I'm writing a discrete simulation where request values from multiple threads accumulate in a centralized queue. Every n milliseconds, a manager wakes up to process requests. When the manager wakes up, it should retrieve all of the contents of the central queue in a single discrete step. While processing these, any client threads attempting to submit to the queue should block. When processing completes, the queue reopens and the manager goes back to sleep. What's the best way to do this? The retry behavior of STM isn't really what I want. If I use a Chan or MVar, there's no way to prevent clients from enqueuing additional requests during processing. One approach is to use an MVar as a mutex on a Chan holding the queue. Are there other ways to do this?

  • JSF : able to do mass update but unable to update a single row in a datatable

    I have a simple data object: Car. I am showing the properties of Car objects in a JSF datatable. If i display the properties using inputText tags, i am able to get the modified values in the managed bean. However i just want a single row editable. So have placed a edit button in a separate column and inputText and outputText for every property of Car. the edit button just toggles the rendering of inputText and outputText. Plus i placed a update button in a separate column which is used to save the updated values. However on clicking the update button, i still get the old values instead of the modified values.
