yum not working on EC2 Red Hat instance: Cannot retrieve repository metadata

For some reason yum has stopped working in my Amazon EC2 instance, located in the EU West sector. There seems to be something wrong with the path of the repo metadata, is this correct? I would be very grateful for any help, as my experience in this field is somewhat limited. LAN->LAN IP translation (for TortoiseSVN + Artifacts + Buffalo router)

Here's my scenario: I've got a VisualSVN server on my main dev box @ home. I'm also using Visual Studio 2010, TortoiseSVN, VisualSVN client (for source control), and Versioned 'Artifacts' (for bug tracking). (I had to modify the fake URL's below to use only one slash because as a new user, I can't post more than one real URL.) I've got my Buffalo AirStation WHR-HP-G300N router properly configured so my business partner can connect to the SVN server. I have port forwarding enabled for the internet-side IP address (like http:/99.888.77.66:443) which gets forwarded to an internal IP (like 192.168.11.6). This part is working great. The problem I'm having is with the integration piece between TortoiseSVN and my bug tracking system. I need to provide a bugtraq:url property, but I haven't been able to get relative paths to work. So I'm forced to use an absolute URL. On my end, I need to use the name of my server (for example: bugtraq:url = https:/my-server/svn/bla..), but this doesn't work for my partner. He needs to specify the IP address (for example: bugtraq:url = https:/999.888.77.66:443/svn/bla...) Is there a way to configure my router such that the IP address for this parameter gets re-routed/re-mapped to "https://my-server" if the request originates from the LAN itself? My router's software supports LAN-Internet and Internet-LAN, but I don't see LAN-LAN.

Removing trailing slashes in WordPress blog hosted on IIS

I have a WordPress blog hosted in my IIS virtual directory that has all URLs ending with a forward slash. Connection timed out on Node.js app running under CentOS

I tried the same app.js code which runs fine on my local machine, is there anything I am missing? I tried to ping the server and its address was reachable. Thanks.

IIS8 Application request routing

Sorry for what is most likely NOT a very intelligent question, but my non-sysadmin brain is struggling to understand what is causing my problem. Basically, I wan't to enable reverse proxying on a IIS8 box. I read though this article: http://www.iis.net/learn/extensions/url-rewrite-module/reverse-proxy-with-url-rewrite-v2-and-application-request-routing And I've installed the ARR extension from here: http://www.iis.net/downloads/microsoft/application-request-routing Now, I enabled the proxying (as explained in the MS tutorial), and I felt the other setting as they where (again, as instructed in the tutorial). My rule looks like the following <rule name="Reverse Proxy to payroll" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="^mytest/(.*)" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="http://localhost:8282/{R:1}" /> </rule> But alas, it doesn't work. If I change it to a "normal" rewrite rule, as in <rule name="Reverse Proxy to payroll" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="^mytest/(.*)" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="/{R:1}" /> </rule> Then it works. So, it must differently be something with the reverse proxy. Any idea what gives?

URGENT: IE 6/7/8 problem!- Right Column is not aligned and is pushed down.

Hi Guys, I'm new to this but here goes. I have been developing this website http://www.panelmaster.co.uk and i have managed to solve the majority of design problems but one! If you take a look at the site in IE the right column seems to drop down and is not aligned with the right and centre column. This problem only occurs in IE as upon testing i found it was fine in firefox and safari. I have provided below the CSS for the website. Varnish configuration to only cache for non-logged in users

I have a Ruby on Rails application fronted by varnish+nginx. As most of the sites content is static unless you are a logged in user, I want to cache the site heavily with varnish when a user is logged out but only to cache static assets when they are logged in. When a user is logged in they will have the cookie 'user_credentials' present in their Cookie: header, in addition I need to skip caching on /login and /sessions in order that a user can get their 'user_credentials' cookie in the first place. Rails by default does not set a cache friendly Cache-control header, but my application sets a "public,s-max-age=60" header when a user is not logged in. Nginx is set to return 'far future' expires headers for all static assets. The configuration I have at the moment is totally bypassing the cache for everything when logged in, including static assets — and is returning cache MISS for everything when logged out. I'm having an annoying :) I use regexes from this: http://forums.codecharge.com/posts.php?post_id=77123 if you enter [url]www.bob.com[/url] it leads too http://localhost/test/www.bobsbar.com So I added before http://$1 in the replacement. That fix it but then [url]http://www.bob.com[/url] will lead to http://http://www.bobsbar.com How would you fix this? I want my users to be able to post links with AND without http:// and i want it to redirect to the site -_- Hope you understand this. Jorm

Jquery call using .load not found.

The type element under the email-address element is set to primary when this is true. There may be more than one element under the email-addresses but only one will be marked primary. I am using the Tomcat JDBC Connection Pool with OpenJPA in a web application. The application does not see updated data. Specifically, another java application adds or removes records from the database, but the web application never sees these updates. This is quite a serious issue. I must be missing something basic. If I remove the Connection Pool from the implementation, the web application sees the updates. It's as if the web application's commits are never called on the Connection. Hi All, I've seen a number of post about Proxy Authentication, but none that seams to address this problem. I'm building a SharePoint Web Service consuming desktop application, using Java, JAX-WS in NetBeans. I have a working prototype, that can query the server for authentication mode, successfully authenticate and retrieve a list of web site. However, if I run the same app from a network that is behind a proxy server (the proxy does not require authentication), then I'm running into trouble. The normal -dhttp.proxyHost ... settings does not seam to help any. But I have found that by creating a ProxySelector class and setting it as default, I can regain access to the authentication web service, but I still can't retrieve the list of web sites from the SharePoint server. It's almost as if the authentication I provide is going to the proxy rather than the SharePoint server. Anyone have any experience on how to make this work? iPhone: value of selectedIndex for tab should be consistent, but isn't

This should be so simple... but something screwy is happening. My setup looks like this: MainViewController Tab Bar Controller 4 tabs, each of which loads WebViewController My AppDelegate contains an ivar, tabBarController, which is connected to the tab bar controller (this was all set up in Interface Builder). The leftmost tab is marked "selected" in IB. Within the viewWillAppear method in WebViewController, I need to know which tab was just selected so I can load the correct URL. I do this by switching on appDelegate.tabBarController.selectedIndex. When the app first runs and the leftmost tab is selected, selectedIndex is a large garbage value. After that, I get values from 0 to 3, which is as it should be, but they are in random order. Not only that, but each tab I touch reports a different value each time. This app is extremely simple right now and I can't imagine what I could have done to make things go this wrong. Has anyone seen (and hopefully solved) this behavior? Update: we have a request for code. There's not much to see. The tab bar controller gets loaded in applicationDidFinishLaunching: [self.mainViewController view]; //force nib to load [self.window addSubview:self.mainViewController.tabBarController.view] There is currently no code whatsoever in MainViewController.m other than the synthesize and release for tabBarController. How to redirect this page to another servlet.... in the url i gave .url("/myservlet") but it doesn't redirected to servlet Please say what should given in .url.Help me. Regards, sharun

I am struggling with .htaccess rewrite rules. Let's say I have this URL. localhost/site/index.php and I want to rewrite it as this URL localhost/site/tutorial I would use this RewriteRule Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^tutorial/(.*)$ /up/index.php The page works, but the CSS files don't load. Also, if I have a URL like this: index.php?page=home Then I would have to parse through that URL to get 'home' not using $_GET anymore correct??
