  • forslash as the default path separator in windows?

    Since windows now accept the forslash "/" as a path separator in addition to its default backslash path separator, so that both c:\windows and c:/windows are valid paths (though the later is invalid in cygwin since backslash is escape char) Is there any chance we could set the forslash as the default path separator on windows (GUI), so that the address bar in windows will automatically use it? I heard its possible in a powershell session but anyone knows if it is also possible in a CMD session? Thanks M

    The following silverlight demo loads and displays a text file from a server. However, in Firefox (but not Explorer or Chrome) after you click the button and the text displays, the status bar continues to show "Transferring data from test.development..." which erroneously gives the user the belief that something is still loading. I've noticed that if you click on another Firefox tab and then back on the original one, the message goes away, so it seems to be just a Firefox bug that doesn't clear the status bar automatically. Is there a way to clear the status bar automatically in Firefox? or a way to explicitly tell it that the async loading is finished so it can clear the status bar itself?     Hello, I have come up with a rewriterule to to go to any page on my website without typing in the .php extension because it is automatically added to the url. The rule is: RewriteRule ^(\w+)/?$ /$1.php It takes anything you type in my index and adds .php to it, so you can put in http://sampardee.com/index and it pulls up index.php Now my question is how to detect when a user enters http://sampardee.com/index.php and change it to http://sampardee.com/index How could I do so with a rewriterule?

  • Changing an Action Type="click" to an auto action in SVG

    I have a SVG document that I exported from Visio 2003 that would like to edit. This file has an action where you click a button it will navigate to a new screen. What I would like to do is have the navigation be based off of a data point rather than having to click the button. As an example I have a dynamic point data being brought into the SVG file and when that value changes from 0 to 1, I want this screen to automatically navigate to another screen.     This isn't that big of a deal but I was wondering if it can be done. Right now when I insert a new record, the id field which is auto_increment and set as primary key increases it's value by one: id | first_name | last_name ------------------------------ 1 | John | Smith 2 | Jane | Doe But if I delete record 2, the next one I insert is going to have an id of 3. Is there any way to make it have an id of 2 automatically (without having to manually insert it)?

    If you create a simple button and then choose Edit Template - Edit a Copy, Blend will automatically generate a style area, along with all the button states (MouseEnter, MouseLeave, Pressed, etc). No where in the generated code does it say that on a "MouseOver" event, change the state to "MouseOver", but it still manages to work! How does a standard button do it? Is there some sort of AutoEventWireUp going on?

Everywhere I read that you simply need to define controller with the same name in your application and Rails will automatically merge them, however it doesn't work for me and controller in engine is simply ignored (I don't think it's even loaded).
