  • How can I dynamically access user control properties?

    - by rahkim
Im trying to create a "user control menu" where links to a page's usercontrols are placed at the top of the page. This will allow me to put several usercontrols on a page and allow the user to jump to that section of the page without scrolling so much. In order to do this, I put each usercontrol in a folder (usercontrols) and gave each control a Description property (<%@ Control Language="C#" Description = "Vehicles" .... %>). My question is how can I access this description dynamically? I want to use this description as the link in my menu. So far, I have a foreach on my page that looks in the ControlCollection for a control that is of the ASP.usercontrols type. If it is I would assume that I could access its attributes and grab that description property. How can I do this? (Im also open to a better way to achieve my "user control menu", but maybe thats another question.) Should I use ((System.Web.UI.UserControl)mydynamiccontrol).Attributes.Keys?

  • Android NDK jni problem

I have started teaching myself about the Android NDK and I have followed this example here - http://marakana.com/forums/android/android_examples/49.html I have followed the steps perfectly but when I run the application I get the following error: Trying to load lib /data/data/com.cnetworks.ndk/lib/libndk_demo.so 0x435c2d20 Added shared lib /data/data/com.cnetworks.ndk/lib/libndk_demo.so 0x435c2d20 No JNI_OnLoad found in /data/data/com.cnetworks.ndk/lib/libndk_demo.so 0x435c2d20 +++ not scanning '/system/lib/libwebcore.so' for 'hello' (wrong CL) +++ not scanning '/system/lib/libmedia_jni.so' for 'hello' (wrong CL) WARN/dalvikvm(5191): No implementation found for native Lcom/cnetworks/ndk/NativeLib;.hello ()Ljava/lang/String; Here is the java code, nativeLib.hello() is causing the problem. public class NDKdemo2 extends Activity { NativeLib nativeLib; /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); nativeLib = new NativeLib(); String helloText = nativeLib.hello(); // Update the UI TextView outText = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.textOut); outText.setText(helloText); } } Has anyone had the same problem before and able to tell me whats wrong?

  • How to add a Fragment inside a ViewPager using Nested Fragment (Android 4.2)

    - by sabadow
I have a ViewPager with three Fragments, each one shows a List (or Grid). In the new Android API level 17 (Jelly Bean 4.2), one of the features is Nested Fragments. The new functionality description says: if you use ViewPager to create fragments that swipe left and right and consume a majority of the screen space, you can now insert fragments into each fragment page. So, if I understand right, now I can create a ViewPager with Fragments (with a button inside for example) inside, and when user press the button show another Fragment without loose the ViewPager using this new feature. I expend my morning trying to implement this on several ways but I can´t made it... Can somebody show a simple example of how to do this? PS: I'm only interested in doing at this way, with getChildFragmentManager to learn how works.

  • Accessing Server-Side Data from Client Script: Using WCF Services with jQuery and the ASP.NET Ajax Library

Today's websites commonly exchange information between the browser and the web server using Ajax techniques - the browser executes JavaScript code typically in response to the page loading or some user action. This JavaScript makes an asynchronous HTTP request to the server. which then processes the request and, perhaps, returns data that the browser can then seamlessly integrate into the web page. Two earlier articles - Accessing JSON Data From an ASP.NET Page Using jQuery and Using Ajax Web Services, Script References, and jQuery, looked at using both jQuery and the ASP.NET Ajax Library on the browser to initiate an Ajax request and both ASP.NET pages and Ajax Web Services as the entities on the web server responsible for servicing such Ajax requests. This article continues our examination of techniques for implementing lightweight Ajax scenarios in an ASP.NET website. Specifically, it examines how to use the Windows Communication Foundation, or WCF, to serve data from the web server and how to use both the ASP.NET Ajax Library and jQuery to consume such services from the client-side. • Dynamically change the width of Datagrid column in FLEX.

    - by user120118
Hi, Can we change the width of the datagrid column dynamically by clicking on the border of the column in order to display the complete string which is too long to be displayed and needs to be scrolled ? If so, How ? Also, how can we ensure that the column width changes dynamically based on the number of characters / length of string; since many a times the data is too long to be displayed. Can we set the column width to take the length of data into consideration before displaying onto the datagrid ?

  • Where is cmcfg32.lib?

    - by Doo Dee
Hello! I found a source code on MSDN about how to enable/disable privileges in C++ According to the source code, the linker must include cmcfg32.lib, but it can't be found... I tried to compile without including that lib, it compiles without any error, but when I launch my program, it crashes with a fatal error. So please, if you know which SDK contains cmcfg32.lib, let me know ;) Thanks!

  • Configure Cucumber with SentientUser

    - by Corith Malin
    I have an application using the SentientUser gem to provide the current user to my models. On top of that I'm using default scoping to ensure that a user can only ever access data that they own. So a typical model for me looks something like this: class Location < ActiveRecord::Base validates_presence_of :name, :time_zone, :address belongs_to :account belongs_to :address accepts_nested_attributes_for :address default_scope :conditions => { :account_id => User.current.account } end When I run rake cucumber I get an error on the default_scope line about account being nil. My guess is that when the cucumber rake task is run it doesn't have access to the correct application controller to inject the current_user method and thus SentientUser can't get the current user? The error I get is: rake cucumber (in /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse) /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/bin/ruby -I "/Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/cucumber-0.6.3/lib:lib" "/Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/cucumber-0.6.3/bin/cucumber" --profile default Using the default profile... undefined method `account' for nil:NilClass (NoMethodError) /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/whiny_nil.rb:52:in `method_missing' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/app/models/location.rb:9 /Library/Ruby/Site/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `gem_original_require' /Library/Ruby/Site/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `polyglot_original_require' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/polyglot-0.3.0/lib/polyglot.rb:65:in `require' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:158:in `require' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:265:in `require_or_load' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:224:in `depend_on' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:136:in `require_dependency' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/config/../vendor/rails/railties/lib/initializer.rb:414:in `load_application_classes' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/config/../vendor/rails/railties/lib/initializer.rb:413:in `each' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/config/../vendor/rails/railties/lib/initializer.rb:413:in `load_application_classes' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/config/../vendor/rails/railties/lib/initializer.rb:411:in `each' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/config/../vendor/rails/railties/lib/initializer.rb:411:in `load_application_classes' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/config/../vendor/rails/railties/lib/initializer.rb:197:in `process' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/config/../vendor/rails/railties/lib/initializer.rb:113:in `send' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/config/../vendor/rails/railties/lib/initializer.rb:113:in `run' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/config/environment.rb:9 /Library/Ruby/Site/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `gem_original_require' /Library/Ruby/Site/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `polyglot_original_require' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/polyglot-0.3.0/lib/polyglot.rb:65:in `require' /Users/corithmalin/Documents/Code/Ruby/flavorpulse/features/support/env.rb:8 /Library/Ruby/Site/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `gem_original_require' /Library/Ruby/Site/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `polyglot_original_require' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/polyglot-0.3.0/lib/polyglot.rb:65:in `require' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/cucumber-0.6.3/bin/../lib/cucumber/rb_support/rb_language.rb:124:in `load_code_file' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/cucumber-0.6.3/bin/../lib/cucumber/step_mother.rb:85:in `load_code_file' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/cucumber-0.6.3/bin/../lib/cucumber/step_mother.rb:77:in `load_code_files' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/cucumber-0.6.3/bin/../lib/cucumber/step_mother.rb:76:in `each' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/cucumber-0.6.3/bin/../lib/cucumber/step_mother.rb:76:in `load_code_files' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/cucumber-0.6.3/bin/../lib/cucumber/cli/main.rb:48:in `execute!' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/cucumber-0.6.3/bin/../lib/cucumber/cli/main.rb:20:in `execute' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/cucumber-0.6.3/bin/cucumber:8 rake aborted!   • How to get selected values from a dynamically created DropDownList Array after PostBack (Button Click)

    - by user739280
I have a CheckBoxList that contains Employee Names on a Wizard Step. When employees are selected and the active step is changed, the Wizard1_ActiveStepChanged function is called and it dynamically creates a DropDownList Array for each employee that is selected. Each DropDownList specifies a condition of the employee. The DropDownList is created properly. When the user clicks submit, the DropDownList array is deleted and no selected values can be pulled from the array. I understand this is an issue with the PostBack and can be fixed with ViewState, but I am trying to figure out what I can do to fix it. ViewState is enabled for the checkboxlist and the DropDownList. This is what I have in the body of my System.Web.UI.Page class private int empcount; private DropDownList[] DDL_Emp { get { return (DropDownList[])ViewState["DDL_Emp"]; } set { ViewState["DDL_Emp"] = value; } } The relevant code: protected void Wizard1_ActiveStepChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (Request.QueryString["type"] == "Accident" && BulletedList1.Items.Count > 0) { this.empcount = 0; for (int i = 0; i < CBL_EmpInvolved.Items.Count; i++) { if (CBL_EmpInvolved.Items[i].Selected) { this.empcount++; } } if(this.empcount > 0) { this.DDL_Emp = new DropDownList[this.empcount]; for (int i = 0, j=0; i < CBL_EmpInvolved.Items.Count; i++) { if (CBL_EmpInvolved.Items[i].Selected) { List<ListItem> cond = new List<ListItem>(); cond.Add(new ListItem("Disabled", CBL_EmpInvolved.Items[i].Value)); cond.Add(new ListItem("Diseased - Fatality", CBL_EmpInvolved.Items[i].Value)); cond.Add(new ListItem("On Treatment - Short Term Disability", CBL_EmpInvolved.Items[i].Value)); cond.Add(new ListItem("On Treatment - Long Term Disability", CBL_EmpInvolved.Items[i].Value)); cond.Add(new ListItem("Treated - Back to Work", CBL_EmpInvolved.Items[i].Value)); cond.Add(new ListItem("Treated - Relocated", CBL_EmpInvolved.Items[i].Value)); cond.Add(new ListItem("Treated - Transferred", CBL_EmpInvolved.Items[i].Value)); this.DDL_Emp[j] = new DropDownList(); this.DDL_Emp[j].ID = "DD_LabCondition_" + CBL_EmpInvolved.Items[i].Value; this.DDL_Emp[j].EnableViewState = true; this.DDL_Emp[j].Visible = true; this.DDL_Emp[j].Items.AddRange(cond.ToArray()); this.DDL_Emp[j].Items.Insert(0, new ListItem("-- Select condition of employee: " + CBL_EmpInvolved.Items[i].Text, "")); PH_LabCondition.Controls.Add(this.DDL_Emp[j]); j++; } } PH_LabCondition.Visible = true; MV_LabCondition.Visible = true; Label1_ReportTitle.Text += "Control Count: " + PH_LabCondition.Controls.Count.ToString(); } MV_LabCondition.ActiveViewIndex = 1; MV_LostTime.ActiveViewIndex = 1; } } This code is giving me the following error now: Type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.DropDownList' in Assembly 'System.Web, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' is not marked as serializable. I've tried changing buttons to images, playing with the AutoPostBack feature. I'm lost on how to get my dropdownlist array saved to the ViewState and accessing it after the postback.

  • Updating Lists of Lists in Tapestry4 using textfields and a single submit button

    - by Nicolas Scarrci
In Tapestry 4 I am trying it iterate over a list of lists (technically a list of objects who have a list of strings as a data field). I am currently doing this by using 'nested' for components. (This is pseudo code) <span jwcid="Form"> <span jwcid="@For" source="ognl:Javaclass.TopLevelList" value="ognl:SecondLevelList" index="ognl:index"> <span jwcid="@For" source="ognl:SecondLevelList.List" value="ognl:ListItem" index="ListItemIndex"> <span jwcid="@TextField" value="ognl:ListItem"/> <span jwcid="@Submit" listener="ognl:listeners.onSubmit"/> </span></span></span> The onSubmit listener then accesses the index and ListItem index page properties, as well as the ListItem page property in order to correctly update the list in Javaclass.TopLevelList. This works fine, but it looks terrible, and is cumbersome to the end user. I would prefer to somehow simulate this functionality using only one submit button at the bottom of the page. I have looked into somehow using the overlying form component to obtain a list of the 'form control components' within it, and then (with great care) parsing through tapestry's naming conventions to recover the functionality of the indexes. If anyone knows how to do this, or could explain the form component (how/when it submits, etc.) it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Dynamically select field names in a query with Spring JDBCTemplate

    - by Francesco
Hi, I have a problem with parameters replacing by Spring JdbcTemplate. I have this query : <bean id="fixQuery" class="java.lang.String"> <constructor-arg type="java.lang.String" value="select fa.id, fi.? from fix_ambulation fa left join fix_i18n fi on fa.translation_id = fi.id order by name" /> And this method : public List<FixAmbulation> readFixAmbulation(String locale) throws Exception { List<FixAmbulation> ambulations = this.getJdbcTemplate().query( fixQuery, new Object[] {locale.toLowerCase()}, ParameterizedBeanPropertyRowMapper .newInstance(FixAmbulation.class)); return ambulations; } And I'd like to have the ? filled with the string representing the locale the user is using. So if the user is brasilian I'd send him the column pt_br from the table fix_i18n, otherwise if he's american I'd send him the column en_us. What I get from this method is a PostgreSQL exception org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: syntax error at or near "$1" If I replace fi.? with just ? (the column name of the locale is unique, so if I run this query in the database it works just fine) what I get is that every object returned from method has the string locale into the field name. I.e. in name field I have "en_us". The only way to have it working I found was to change the method into : public List<FixAmbulation> readFixAmbulation(String locale) throws Exception { String query = "select fa.id, fi." + locale.toLowerCase() + " as name " + fixQuery; this.log.info("QUERY : " + query); List<FixAmbulation> ambulations = this.getJdbcTemplate().query( query, ParameterizedBeanPropertyRowMapper .newInstance(FixAmbulation.class)); return ambulations; } and setting fixQuery to : <bean id="fixQuery" class="java.lang.String"> <constructor-arg type="java.lang.String" value=" from telemedicina.fix_ambulation fa left join telemedicina.fix_i18n fi on fa.translation_id = fi.id order by name" /> </bean> My DAO extends Spring JdbcDaoSupport and works just fine for all other queries. What am I doing wrong?

  • DynamicJasper font encoding problem

    - by user266956
Hello All, I'm new to DynamicJasper, I think it's a great project but for a few days I cannot run simple example which will display polish fonts properly. Details sections is generated without any problems automatically displaying polish letters like 'c z z a' etc. where title and column headers contain strange letters instead. I was trying to do the following, but it doesn't work: FastReportBuilder drb = new FastReportBuilder(); Font font = new Font(25, "SansSerif", "Helvetica", Font.PDF_ENCODING_CP1257_Baltic, true); Style titleStyle = new StyleBuilder(false).setFont(font).build(); DynamicReport dr = drb.addColumn("State", "state", String.class.getName(),30) .addColumn("Branch", "branch", String.class.getName(),30) .addColumn("Product Line", "productLine", String.class.getName(),50) .addGroups(2) .setTitle("November 2008 Zrebie aczc!") .setTitleStyle(titleStyle) .setSubtitle("This report was generated at " + new Date()) .setPrintBackgroundOnOddRows(true) .setUseFullPageWidth(true) .build(); JRDataSource ds = new JRBeanCollectionDataSource(this.simples); JasperPrint jp = DynamicJasperHelper.generateJasperPrint(dr, new ClassicLayoutManager(), ds); JasperViewer.viewReport(jp); //finally display the report report Any help would be highly appreciated as dynamicjasper forums seems to be dead and constantly spammed. Thanks in advance! Kris

  • StringLengthValidator - localization not working

    - by danysdragons
I am validating input to my ASP.NET application using StringLengthValidators, and using the ValidationSummary control to display the error messages. To localize the application, the StringLengthValidators have the MessageTemplateResourceName and MessageTemplateResourceType attributes set. The first time the validator runs, it picks up the correct error message based on the current culture setting. If I change the language setting while running the app, the next time the validator runs, the ValidationSummary it still displays the error message for the old culture. The text for all other controls is being updated correctly. Any ideas, folks?

  • Sharepoint and encryption

    - by YeomansLeo
I'm currently setting up WSS 3.0 at my work, and I'm in the finance section of it. My question is, is there a possibility to encrypt and decrypt lists? And I mean entire lists, because the document libraries will have different types of files in it, from Word to Invoices in InfoPath. I know there is a solution in CodePlex called CryptoCollaboration, but whenever I deploy the solution in SharePoint I get a server error. Any alternatives? Or maybe you could fix the codeplex solution, that would be great! Thanks in advance!

  • How to avoid reallocation using the STL (C++)

    - by Tue Christensen
This question is derived of the topic: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2280655/vector-reserve-c I am using a datastructur of the type vector<vector<vector<double> > >. It is not possible to know the size of each of these vector (except the outer one) before items (doubles) are added. I can get an approximate size (upper bound) on the number of items in each "dimension". A solution with the shared pointers might be the way to go, but I would like to try a solution where the vector<vector<vector<double> > > simply has .reserve()'ed enough space (or in some other way has allocated enough memory). Will A.reserve(500) (assumming 500 is the size or, alternatively an upper bound on the size) be enough to hold "2D" vectors of large size, say [1000][10000]? The reason for my question is mainly because I cannot see any way of reasonably estimating the size of the interior of A at the time of .reserve(500). An example of my question: vector A; A.reserve(500+1); vector temp2; vector temp1 (666,666); for(int i=0;i<500;i++) { A.push_back(temp2); for(int j=0; j< 10000;j++) { A.back().push_back(temp1); } } Will this ensure that no reallocation is done for A? If temp2.reserve(100000) and temp1.reserve(1000) where added at creation will this ensure no reallocation at all will occur at all? In the above please disregard the fact that memory could be wasted due to conservative .reserve() calls. Thank you all in advance!

  • Using jstl tags in a dynamically created div

    - by George
I want to be able to show some data based on criteria the user enters in a text field. I can easily take this data, process the form post, and show the data on another page. However, I want to be able to do it all on the same page - they click the button, and a new div shows up with the information. This doesn't seem too complicated, but I want to use jstl tags to format the data like: <c:forEach items="${model.data}" var="d"> <tr> <td><fmt:formatDate type="date" dateStyle="short" timeStyle="default" value="${d.reportDate}" /></td> <td><c:out value="${d.cardType}"/></td> </tr> </c:forEach> If jstl tags are processed when the page loads, can I use that in this new div? Can I update it via a javascript (using prototype) function to display the proper data? Will I be able to do the same thing if they change the criteria and click the submit button again?

  • WPF - Redrawing a Context Menu when Items change?

    - by Rachel
I have a ItemsControl in a ScrollViewer, and when the items exceed the width of the ScrollViewer they are put into a ContextMenu and shown as a DropDown instead. My problem is that when the Context Menu is first loaded, it saves the saves the size of the Menu and does not redraw when more commands get added/removed. For example, a panel has 3 commands. 1 is visible and 2 are in the Menu. Viewing the menu shows the 2 commands and draws the control, but then if you resize the panel so 2 are visible and only 1 command is in the menu, it doesn't redraw the menu to eliminate that second menu item. Or even worse, if you shrink the panel so that no commands are shown and all 3 are in the Menu, it will only show the top 2. Here's my code: <Button Click="DropDownMenu_Click" ContextMenuOpening="DropDownMenu_ContextMenuOpening"> <Button.ContextMenu> <ContextMenu ItemsSource="{Binding Path=MenuCommands}" Placement="Bottom"> <ContextMenu.Resources> <Style TargetType="{x:Type MenuItem}"> <Setter Property="Command" Value="{Binding Path=Command}" /> <Setter Property="Visibility" Value="{Binding Path=IsVisible, Converter={StaticResource ReverseBooleanToVisibilityConverter}}"/> </Style> </ContextMenu.Resources> <ContextMenu.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=DisplayName}" /> </DataTemplate> </ContextMenu.ItemTemplate> </ContextMenu> </Button.ContextMenu> </Button> Code Behind: void DropDownMenu_ContextMenuOpening(object sender, ContextMenuEventArgs e) { Button b = sender as Button; b.ContextMenu.IsOpen = false; e.Handled = true; } private void DropDownMenu_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { Button b = sender as Button; ContextMenu cMenu = b.ContextMenu; if (cMenu != null) { cMenu.PlacementTarget = b; cMenu.Placement = System.Windows.Controls.Primitives.PlacementMode.Bottom; } } I have tried using InvalidateVisual and passing an empty delegate on Render to try and force a redraw, however neither works. I'm using .Net 4.0.

  • Path for Delphi libraries

    - by Wouter van Nifterick
    Where do you guys store 3rd party (and your own) components? Do you keep separate copies per Delphi version? For years I've been using c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\, even for Delphi 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010, like this: c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\AggPas\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\DeHL\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\DevExpress\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\FastCode\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\FastMM\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\Fundamentals\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\Graphics32\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\JCL\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\JVCL\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\OmniThread\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\Raize\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\TeeChartPro\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\TurboPower\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\VirtualTreeView\ c:\program files\borland\delphi7\lib\Zeos\ However, nowadays I don't even use Delphi7 anymore (what can it do that 2010 can't?), so this path doesn't make much sense anymore. I'm about to install windows7 on my home machine, so I'm thinking on something like this: c:\src\DelphiLib\ Any better ideas?
