• Java Layout Insets

  board image the above is a board layout done by using gridbaglayout. i would like insets of 5 pixels around the whole board but not between each label. i scaned the api and havent come up with something that lets me do this. does this mean i have to nest my board gui inside another gridbaglayout with the insets desired? thank you.

  How can I validate the cells in a DataGridColumn individually? The validation is configured per-row. For example FIELD VALUE TYPE age 13 Integer height 13x3 Integer registered true Boolean temperature 98.G6 Float In this case, of course 13x3 and 98.G6 would be invalid. Writing a Validator is no problem, and I can grab the TYPE from the data provider object, but now do I get individual access to the GUI cells so I can give the Validator a source which is an individual cell, set the errorString on an individual cell.

  I've been building a Windows Service to create a WebBrowser object to navigate, login, and download a site's HTML. However, I recently discovered this bug which prevents the DocumentCompleted event from firing if the WebBrowser is not visible: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259935 I've got to assume this is because the Windows Service doesn't allow for a GUI and therefore this bug is tripped.   I have been given a task to create an admin page to programmatically add IPs or domains to a SMTP Relay Restrictions using C#. I spent some time researching this since yesterday and finally traced this down to a few posts on several website that use the System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntr class. Using the examples I found, I can add or deny IPs or domains under Connection control but not Relay Restrictions. What would be the commands in C# to add IPs to the Relay Restrictions?   I am way too indecisive. I have an idea for a (admittedly craptastic) GUI program, so I start writing it in C# .NET WinForms. Then like halfway through I'm like, damn I should have written this in Qt. So I start writing it in Qt and remember why I hate C++ STL iterators so much.
