  • Dynamic title like in the Notes app

    Hi, when the user enters text in a uitextview I would that the title of the navigation bar changed dynamically like it happens in the Notes app. How can I achieve this? I think a label is used, don't I? Thanks Fran EDIT: I know how change the title of a navigation bar, but how do this in a such way that the textview is tied to the title, so while user enters the first line of text in the same moment the title changes (letter by letter)?

I'm starting a new desktop (Adobe AIR) app project but I found myself having difficulties with: stuck with thinking about overall UI design in the traditional page model not sure how to handle the navigation part in the UI not taking advantage of states deciding what should be implemented on client vs server side.     I am looking for a system to parallelise a large suite of tests in a Ruby on Rails app (using rspec, cucumber) that works using JRuby. Cucumber is actually not too bad, but the full rSpec suite currently takes nearly 20 minutes to run. The systems I can find (hydra, parallel-test) look like they use forking, which isn't the ideal solution for the JRuby environment.

  • What's the best way to skin my iPhone app (similar to how the Notes app is skinned)?

    If you look at the Notes app on the iPad, you can see it uses all native iPhone controls, but they're "skinned" to look like a pad of paper. What's the best way to implement something similar to that? Could I use interface builder and simply change the background image for each of the controls, including the TableViews?     Any tips How to figure out where is memory leak in my Facebook app, its ASPX using Facebook toolkit DLL and I am afraid the bug may be in that CS library. The problem is that after one week uptime, server is running out of memory and needs to be rebooted, there are quite many users and I cannot run debugger on this "production server", so I would need to simulate somehow use on my local PC.

  • iPhone App made using XCode 3.2.3 does not run on 3.1.3 OS

    I can't figure this out and I thought that someone might run through the same thing. I have XCode 3.2.3 (Pre Release with OS 4 beta) and I started to create my application, after the final touches and everything worked ok, I changed the Simulator - 4.0 to Simulator - 3.1.3 (latest iPhone OS) and I could never start my app again :-( Does anyone know what I should do? I created a simple Screencast of the problem so everyone can see what I'm writing about. Thank you for all the help.

    Hi, When I use this to write to my app.config file: Configuration config =ConfigurationManager.OpenExeConfiguration(ConfigurationUserLevel.None); config.AppSettings.Settings["Wachtwoord"].Value = "Test"; config.Save(); ConfigurationManager.RefreshSection("appSettings"); I can read it again. But when i close and restart the program, the value of "Wachtwoord" has changed again to the old value. Does anybody how I could fix this? Thanks
