    My app has a token model as such: class Token < ActiveRecord::Base # The model include a few attributes including created_at end I want entries linked to this model to expire after 6 hours, meaning that they should get automatically deleted. I know that I could set a cronjob or something similar to do this, but isn't there a better/simpler way? Note: I'm using Rails 3.0.0beta3, mysql (in dev) and postgres (in prod)

    Can anyone explain usage of weak references? The documentation doesn't explain it precisely, it just says that the GC can destroy the object linked to via a weak reference at any time.     I'm adding these two functions to a parent class: public function get topShot():ShotGlass { return _topShot; } public function get bottomShot():ShotGlass { return _bottomShot; } The calls is called BaseEntry and is a subclass of MovieClip. Once I add these two functions, I get "The class 'class' must subclass 'flash.display.MovieClip' since it is linked to a library symbol of that type" on all the subclasses. What's going on?

    I'm trying to write a program that can read the signal strength of a bluetooth device linked to my android 2.0 handset. Doesnt seem like android exposes anyway to get the RSSI unless it is during discovery. Is there any other way to get the signal strength of the device after the device has been detected? I read of a way to do it using NDK to access the underlying BlueZ API, but I dont know how to use that. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd like to separate core part from UI part, so at plugin com.site.plugin.ui I created Preferences page where I defined some preferences, which should be used by com.site.plugin.core. I check article at Eclipse site, but it is quite outdated, and linked bug also do not provide much info. So is it possible to do this using standard Eclipse mechanism, or I need use direct low-level API via package org.eclipse.core.runtime.preferences?

    I would like to embed a database in my JWS application. As a matter of fact I have to use HSQL or SQLite. Hibernate may support (HSQL or SQLite, does it ?) but the workflow is rather complex for my application but maybe it's the way to go for my needs. In ActiveObjects database shoould be "linked" to by a path because of JDBC, but is it possible to specify a database that is inside a JAR and how ?

    I have to query two different servers from a dynamically built query. It basically gets data from one server, treats it, and inserts it into another server. The only problem is I have to be sure it works for both situations: If both the source and destination databases are on the same server, and if they're not.     I'm trying to get the same result of a .NET application (see the link Hide TabControl buttons to manage stacked Panel controls for details), but using the MONO runtime instead of the MS .NET runtime. Pratically, when the custom control is executed using the MONO runtime, the underlying message is not sent to the control, causing the tab pages to be shown... Is there a portable solution which is elegant as the linked one? If it is not possible, what are possible workarounds (apart from removing/adding tabs at runtime)?

It works great but when row selected but, How could then go back to previous view if main one is AppDelegate? self.window addSubview:[?? view]]; Should be basic concept but I am quite new and unable to get the solution.
