  I have an app which plays some ambient noises. I have fitted it with a sleep timer and a local notifier which work fine, but the notifier will only fire when the app is in the background. I would like to be able to fit a standard alarm clock that the user can set using the date picker, ie, the user picks 07:15 am on the date picker and this triggers a sound being played at this time. Can this be done?

• Call two Matlab functions simultaneously from .net

  I am writing a C# application and I would like to make calls to different matlab functions simultaneously(from different threads). Each Matlab function is located in its own compiled .net library. It seems that I am only able to call one Matlab function at a time however. ie, if matlab_func1() gets called from thread1 then matlab_func2() gets called from thread2, matlab_func2() must wait for matlab_func1() to finish executing. Is there a way to call different matlab functions simultaneously? Thanks.

  img_hsv is a Mat element of an hsv image! when i give cout<<*img_hsv.data+10; it gives true value of the pixel ie 79 as output. but when i assign uchar * a=img_hsv.data+10; it gives me some other value... can you please explain me why is this the case? thanks!

• How to avoid strange characters before the request in firefox?

  Hi, on a website i'm currently developing I'm using jquery to do all sort of magic things :-) In firefox however, when I load jquery 1.4.2 there are sometimes funny characters in front of the request. You can see the strangers characters in this screenshot (thank you firebug). In safari, Chrome and IE these funny characters don't appear, jquery is loading fine in those browsers. Why are those characters appearing and how can I remove them? Thanks!!

  Im just wondering how i use xmlencoder to serialize ArrayList where foo is my own made class. Do i have to do anything in particular, ie define my own xml structure first and then call toString on each value in my list and write it out? • Unknown margin being added to a footer in IE6 + 7

  So yeah, like I said, I've spent a few hours trying to fix this bug in the footer that add's an extra 20-30px on to the bottom of the page in IE6 and 7. I've currently set all bottom margins to 0 so as to find what's causing it, I then scoured ie developer tools but came up empty.   I want to bind to the Count/amount of items within my DataContext. I have an object, lets say person which has a List<address> as a property. I would like to display the amount of addresses for that person ie: 5 or 6 or whatever the case may be. I've tried {Binding Path=address#.Count} and a few others but that doesnt seem to work. • Why isnt int pow(int base, int exponent) in the standard C++ libraries?

  I feel like I must just be unable to find it. Is there any reason that the c++ pow function does not implement the "power" function for anything except floats and doubles? I know the implementation is trivial, I just feel like I'm doing work that should be in a standard library. A robust power function (ie handles overflow in some consistent, explicit way) is not fun to write.

Not the scroll height, not the document height, the actual window height. I've tried window.innerHeight which returns undefined and document.documentElement.clientHeight which gives the scroll height.
