  I have some keywords in the header of my website. Every few second I want one of them to glow up with the CSS text-shadow property. However, JQuery animation doesn't seem to support the CSS text-shadow property very well. http://jsfiddle.net/VWBsU/: This is kind of the result that I want, but the glow has to fade in and out. http://jsfiddle.net/VWBsU/1/ With a more common CSS-property, like color, the animation works perfectly, the red color kind of fades in. http://jsfiddle.net/VWBsU/2/ But the CSS text-shadow property doesn't even appear when trying to animate it. Does anyone know how to fade in and fade out a text-shadow property?

• Urls parameters doesn't encoding correctly!

  I'am using asp.net mvc version 1.0 and I've a problem with some parameter in a url! My url is look like so(http://localhost:2282/Tags/PostList/c#) routes.MapRoute( "TagsRoute", "Tags/PostList/{tag}", new { controller="Tags",Action="PostList",tag = "" } ); In effect the problem is that tag paramter isn't encoding and so simbol # is ignored! I am using an actionlink but maybe with version 1.0 isn't encoding parameter directly! <%=Html.ActionLink(itemtags.Tags.TagName, "PostList","Tags", new { tag = itemtags.Tags.TagName }, new { style = "color:red;" })%> With this actionlink only whitespace are encoding correctly, infact asp.net mvc become asp.net%20mvc and it work fine! But c# isn't encoding :( So I try to use Server.UrlEncode, and in effect it happen some stuff!!! Infact c# became c%2523 but it isn't correct again because hexadecimal of # is %23! • Floating images with multiple sizes in CSS

  I'm wanting to be able to create a banner of floating images based on what are uploaded via users. The tool needs to have images of 50x50 and 100x100. At the moment, I just want to randomly display the images and tried to apply float:left. However, as you can see below - it leaves gaps. Is there an easy way to do this without programatically positioning the images? • Depmod - unresolved symbols in rt73 module

  I'm trying to install a linux driver for my wireless network card (D-Link DWL-G510) on my Red Hat Linux 7.1 machine with a 2.4.37.9 kernel. I downloaded the serial monkey driver from the sourceforge site and was able to successfully compile the module. However, whenever I do a "make install", the make script executes a "depmod -a" command which then complains with the message: "Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.37.9/extra/rt73.o". I then executed a "depmod -e" command to show unresolved symbols and it indicates the following information: request_firmware_Rsmp_38ce5074 release_firmware_Rsmp_33934162 I did a grep on the above information and it showed no source files making reference to it. I searched for it on google and it returned no results. Can anyone help?

• two android threads and not synchronized data

  i have a (perhaps stupid) question: im using 2 threads, one is writing floats and one is reading this floats permanently. my question is, what could happen worse when i dont synchronize them? it would be no problem if some of the values would not be correct because they switch just a little every write operation. im running the application this way at the moment and dont have any problems so i want to know what could happen worse? a read/write conflict would cause a number like 12345 which is written to 54321 and red at the same time appear for example as 54345 ? or could happen something worse? (i dont want to use synchronization to keep the code as fast as possible)

• Error in eclipse: "The project cannot be built until build path errors are resolved"

  I am a CS student learning java so I do some work at home and at college on a mixture of linux and windows. I have a problem after copying a new project into the eclipse workspace. The project shows up but with a red exclamation mark and an error saying: "The project cannot be built until build path errors are resolved" Can somebody help me out with this? • Full coordinates across streets with google maps

  If you go here: http://econym.org.uk/gmap/snap.htm there are some examples of the kind of stuff I'm trying to do. I want the user to enter a route on a google maps widget, and then have the map drawl the route along roads. Then the user click on a "submit" button, and their route is sent back to the server where it will be stored in a database. Instead of sending back just the red vertices, I want to send back all the information that makes up the purple lines. Is this possible?

  I have a object which it was initialized before in a base class. In inherited class, I use this object and assign values on multi-properties to it.   I'm building an 'add new row' function for product variations, and I'm struggling with the regex required to match the form attribute keys. So, I'm basically cloning rows, then incrementing the keys, like this (coffeescript): newrow = oldrow.find('select, input, textarea').each -> this.name = this.name.replace(/\[(\d+)\]/, (str, p1) -> "[" + (parseInt(p1, 10) + 1) + "]" ) this.id = this.id.replace(/\_(\d+)\_/, (str, p1) -> "_" + (parseInt(p1, 10) + 1) + "_" ) .end() This correctly increments a field with a name of product[variations][1][name], turning it into product[variations][2][name] BUT Each variation can have multiple options (eg, color can be red, blue, green), so I need to be able turn this product[variations][1][options][2][name] into product[variations][1][options][3][name], leaving the variation key alone. What regex do I need to match only the last occurrence of a key (the options key)?

• Stop sign icon in VS2005 Express solution explorer

  What does a small stop sign icon on a file in solution explorer mean? Someone asked the same question a year ago Original Question but the answer provided is of no help. The icon looks like this: Suffice to say that the sign is not one presented in the VS documentation and is a UK Stop sign (red circle with a white horizontal bar) not a US one. The project is WebKit and the build process cannot find AuthenticationCF.h even though the file is present. I presume the sign might shed some light on this. Thanks, Andy

  Hi, I am trying to debug a program using ddd. When I try to enter any function, or within main() itself, I get the following warning: warning: (Internal error: pc 0x804a6b0 in read in psymtab, but not in symtab.) This warning flashes whenever I try to move to another instruction using 'n' or enter or leave a function. I have tried to look this up in other forums, but with no conclusive answer. The code I am trying to debug runs into several files and I am not sure if I can post the entire code here. I am using g++ version: g++ (GCC) 4.4.1 20090725 (Red Hat 4.4.1-2) Any help on this is most welcome. Thanks, Sriram.

  Hi! I have setup subversion 1.6.5 on Fedora. I have decided to use a single repository for multiple projects. I have added one project, projA, to the repository. I will have more projects to add to the repository in future. If I try to add next project with the command 'svn import . file:///path/to/repos' gives svn: File already exists: filesystem '/usr/local/svn-repos/proj-test/db', transa ction '1-1', path '/trunk'. The new projB is being added to the trunk directory of projA. I have read the section "Adding Projects" in http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.1/ch05s04.html In that book, projects are added at once. But,I would like to add them one by one as new projects become ready to go. What is the proper command and/or how that can be done? Thanks. Banani

Now all the widgets in my windows eg. button, Label Ect. will have to change color. EG. i Have a global variabel wich i will set as color "red" fx... All the widgets BACKGROUND option is associated with the global variabel. Now on button press i will change the global variable to "green" so that the background of all widgets ect. will change color, but they DONT. i thought the .mainloop() sort of UPDATED the window. how can i have the widgets to change background color when my variable change WITHOUT restarting my application??? ty Xanthar

• Why can't I have static public fields in my managed beans?

  I just started using the Netbeans 7.1 beta and it is calling out errors of a type which I have never seen before. Specifically: A managed bean with a public field should not declare any scope other than @Dependent. The fields it is complaining about are public static final. I can understand the restriction on non-static fields, but I can't think of a good reason this would not be allowed for a static field. Unfortunately I use a lot of them since I don't like having constants in my code. I note that even though I get the red dot in the margin in the editor, the maven-driven build still works and GlassFish still runs my application the way I would expect. So what is my denoument on this issue? Am I going to have to move my static fields elsewhere or is there another way of handling this?

• Handling exceptions, is this a good way?

  We're struggling with a policy to correctly handle exceptions in our application. Here's our goals for it (summarized): Handle only specific exceptions. Handle only exceptions that you can correct Log only once. We've come out with a solution that involves a generic Application Specific Exception and works like this in a piece of code: try { // Do whatever } catch(ArgumentNullException ane) { // Handle, optinally log and continue } catch(AppSpecificException) { // Rethrow, don't log, don't do anything else throw; } catch(Exception e) { // Log, encapsulate (so that it won't be logged again) and throw Logger.Log("Really bad thing", e.Message, e); throw new AppSpecificException(e) } All exception is logged and then turned to an AppSpecificException so that it won't be logged again. Eventually it will reach the last resort event handler that will deal with it if it has to. I don't have so much experience with exception handling patterns... Is this a good way to solve our goals? Has it any major drawbacks or big red warnings?
