    I am trying to create a Custom Flex Component using the Flex Component framework: http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/flex/3/html/help.html?content=ascomponents_advanced_3.html. All good components allow you to define their dimensions using percentage values using: MXML: TextInput width="100%" or Actionscript at runtime: textinp.percentWidth = 100; My question is how do you implement percentage width/height in the measure() method of your custom component? More specifically, these percentages are converted to pixels values at some stage, how is this done?

    Hello, is it possible to create a screenshot of a WPF application as SVG / is there some WPF built-in function to get the XAML code for the current drawn window that then can be converted to SVG? I need some screenshots for documenting a WPF application and I'd like them to be zoomable like a WPF program is using e.g. Snoop or Vista Magnifyer. Thanks for any hint!

    Hi all! Do you have any idea how to covert different Unicode characters to their closest ASCII equivalents? Like Ä - A. A googled but didn't find any suitable solution. Trick Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("Ä")[0] didn't work. (Result was ?). I found that there is class Encoder that has Fallback property that is exactly for cases when char can't be converted, but implementations (EncoderReplacementFallback) are stupid and convert to ?.     If I open a solution, unload a project then reopen the solution visual studio remembers not to not load the project again. How can I do this outside of visual studio? Which file is this setting stored in? Visual Studio's annoying conversion wizard won't let me open the solution without converting all the projects, I have already converted the ones I want to work with and want to set the other ones to be unloaded.

    Ok, I have a hardcoded string I declare like this name = u"Par Catégorie" I have a # -- coding: utf-8 -- magic header, so I am guessing it's converted to utf-8 Down the road it's outputted to xml through xml_output.toprettyxml(indent='....', encoding='utf-8') And I get a UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position 3: ordinal not in range(128) Most of my data is in French and is ouputted correctly in CDATA nodes, but that one harcoded string keep ... I don't see why an ascii codec is called. what's wrong ?

    Hello, I'm trying to store a number in django that looks like this: 000001 My problem is that if I type this inside an IntegerField it gets converted to "1" without the leading zeros. I've tried also with a DecimalField with the same result. How can I store the leading zeros whithout using a CharField? (I need to manipulate that number in it's integer form)

    I used Python to generate a CSV file. But when I open it in Excel, Excel will auto recognize a string into a number if it could be converted. e.g.33E105, which is actually an ID, not a number.   • No compile errors when reference added, but errors seen upon build

    A solution was just converted from VS 2008 to VS 2010. My VS 2010 build is failing with the popular "The type or namespace X could not be found". When I go to the project and go to Add References and add the appropriate project dll, the class name appears in blue text as if .NET found the correct class. However, when I go to the Build menu and select "Build Solution" I get the "namespace not found error" and the class name is no longer blue. Thanks.
