  • Skype will not send/recieve messages to specific person (they will LAG)

    There is a similar question, but I tried changing audio settings. I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 and sometimes when talking to specific person it just doesn't send messages or receive them. It may even show that person as offline for few seconds (even if she/he is not). That may not depend on the other side, because it happened on Windows and Ubuntu box. There is a possiblity it's not really limited to skype and it's more of a wider problem, I'm not sure.

    How do I run a script when a drive is mounted under OSX ? My usecase is that I would like to automatically copy images from my USB memory/harddrive when it is inserted in my USB card reader, and when a DVD or CD is inserted I would like to copy it for storage in my media center. I've tried using Marcopolo but from what I can see it can only detect the presence of a certain USB device, not the presence of specific harddrive.     Is there a way, in bash command line, to give focus to a specific window of a running process. Assume I know the process' name, number, and anything else I need. For instance, if I have a single instance of Firefox running, but it's minimized (or there's some other window on top of it).     From what I understand, the noarch suffix means that it's architecture independent and should work universally. If this is the case, why should I install architecture-specific packages at all? Why not just go straight for the noarch? Are there optimizations in the x86 or x64 binaries that aren't found in the noarch binaries? What's best for high performance applications?     I can get a list of files from a text file from a specific directory, but they are naturally in singles. I need to create a text file that will give the contents, but all in 1 line separated by a space. My batch is here: dir /a /b /-p /o:gen %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\file_list_full.txt As an example, this will give: Hello.exe Help.txt Big.png sound.ogg I need it to be: Hello.exe Help.txt Big.png sound.ogg How can I do this?

    Hey, I've been troubleshooting network issues on servers with 2 NICs and laptops with wired and wireless cards. How can I force the PING and TELNET to be sent from a specific adapter? I know it's a trouble with windows. Turning off one of the adapters is not an option, I am always connected through one of the adapters.     I'm running MySQL Server 5.5.29 on Ubuntu Server 13.04 I have a created a user with a wildcard host access % and given him various privileges. However, whenever this user connects from 194.182.245.61, a new user account is created for that specific IP address with no rights and he is unable to exercise his privileges. When he connects from other internet connections, such as his home IP, it works just as it should. Why does this happen and how can I stop it from happening?

I learned when I ending my cables to take attention that either end must be in same arrangement(568A or 568B ). Sometime I get stacked with my fellow servant that they claim that Cable should work if just arrangement at both side are same even if it is not in 568A or 568B layouts. My experience said that it is not true, but I am now looking for some technical argument to prove that.

I need it to ignore the MX records and only send it to the server I specify but am not sure which files to edit or how to configure the sendmail config.     I'm doing the following to mount a remote server to a specific path on my server: sshfs [email protected]:/backup/folder/ /home/myuser/server-backups/ However when I mount the server the folder permissions change (they become 700), and when I test my rsnapshot.conf file I get the following error: snapshot_root /home/myuser/server-backups/ - snapshot_root exists \ but is not readable What am I doing wrong ? should I mount the remote server with another user ?

    I have a server with 5 ISP connections, i am using Apache web server and php engine to run my application. Outgoing request to different API now needs to be send through a specific ISP (or a different IPs). All my API request are sent using PHP and Web server. I am not sure that php will directly communicate with Gateway or it send request via web server. Please help me to setup this. Thanks in advance.
