    I'd like to script, preferably in rake, the following actions into a single command: Get the version of my local git repository. Git pull the latest code. Git diff from the version I extracted in step #1 to what is now in my local repository. In other words, I want to get the latest code form the central repository and immediately generate a diff of what's changed since the last time I pulled.

    Each day an application creates a file called file_YYYYMMDD.csv where YYYYMMDD is the production date. But sometimes the generation fails and no files are generated for a couple of days. I'd like an easy way in a bash or sh script to find the filename of the most recent file, which has been produced before a given reference date. Typical usage: find the last generated file, disregarding those produced after the May 1st. Thanks for your help

    Hi! I need to calculate an end date based on todays date and a number of months. For example, todays date 04/01/2010 and the number of months is 6. Are there any functions I can use to do some math that would return "10/01/2010"? Also, I think it's important to note that I am storing the result in MySQL as a "DATETIME" so I guess I would have to do something with the time as well... ??? Thanks!

It has some worth with its integration into VisualStudio and usage of native editors. It's a perfect solution for XML! However, it does not support XAML editors. Who can recommend a diff tool for XAML?

    One of the affiliate networks provides a feed with the following time/date format. <startDate>1349992800000</startDate> <endDate>1355266799999</endDate> My problem is I am trying to convert this to a MYSQL format, I have tried mktime and strtotime with no luck the date seems to come out wrong. I know this is the time since the Equinox, I am just not sure how to convert this to a MYSQL format.

    Hi there, I have a date format like this : $date1 = "Sun May 09 20:07:50 +0000 2010"; and I have to convert it to: 09-05-2010 I am using date("d-m-Y", $date1)); When I print this individually it gives proper result but I am using it in loop it gives me results like: 31-12-1969 I don't understand why this is so? Can you help, please?

    Is there a way to configure hg com so that in the commit message file that pops up in the external editor, instead of just showing which files were changed (in the HG: lines) it actually shows the full diff? I'd rather view the output and compose my commit message simultaneously from the comfort of my text editor as opposed to doing hg diff on the command line separately beforehand.

I know that I can replace it with the following code: Calendar myCal = Calendar.getInstance(); myCal.set(Calendar.YEAR, theYear); myCal.set(Calendar.MONTH, theMonth); myCal.set(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH, theDay); Date theDate = myCal.getTime(); However, I would like something shorter to replace it with (ideally one-two lines). Please write 3 querys one which return all three record on current date, next all 3 records must be incremented by 1 on every next button click finally all 3 records must be decremented by 1 on every previous button click keep last day and begining date on the month in minds else i have also achieved for middle of month. Running query but returns 33 records instead of 3.     I have got a table set up in one sheet with "transactions". Each row contains a name of a vendor, the amount owed or paid depending on transaction type, and the due date/transaction date. Here is some simplified sample data: Vendor Date Invoice Payment Vendor A 6/30 $200 Vendor A 6/30 ($200) Vendor B 7/5 $500 Vendor B 7/5 ($500) Vendor C 10/28 $50 Vendor A 10/30 $100 Vendor C 11/15 $50 I have already built a PivotTable from that table to group these transactions by vendor and sum the remainder owed. What I'm trying to figure out is how to, for each vendor, get the next due date (min date of the group, excluding dates < Today()), or if there is no next due date then I want to see the max date for that group. Here is what my PivotTable looks like, plus the date column I'd like to add (assuming Today() = 10/23): Vendor Date Owed Vendor B 7/5 - Vendor C 10/28 $100 Vendor A 10/30 $100 I know calling it next due date might not be so accurate if I end up with the date of a payment in that column, but I'm ok with that. tl;dr : I want to find the next earliest date within each group, or the last date. How do I do this?

The same happens for {0:u} or {0:s}. Any help would be gratefully received. :)

  • Compare only date javascript

    Hi all, I can't seem to figure out what is wrong with my code. Maybe it would be simpler to just compare date and not time. Not sure how to do this either and I searched but couldn't find my exact problem. BTW, when I display the two dates in an alert, they show as exactly the same.
