    Hello, I'm having the following problem. I'm installing SharePoint 2010 Beta so I need to activate the windows feature "Windows Communication Foundation Non-HTTP Activation". The problem is I cannot activate it, i get the message: "An error has occurred. Not all features were successfully changed" When i look at the log (C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log) I found this error: Process output: [l:186 [186]"SMConfigInstaller[Error]: Failed in calling 'StartService' for service 'NetTcpActivator'. Error code: 0x8007042c Anyone can give me a clue of what is happening here?

  • Cannot install Windows 8 Transformation Pack on Windows 7

    I am trying to install Windows 8 Transformation Pack v4.0 on my Sony Vaio laptop with the following options: When I run (as administrator) the setup file, it starts to install but gives the following error at some point: The file 'C:\Windows\Fonts\segoui.ttf' could not be opened. Please check that your disk is not full and that you have access to the destination directory. Since I run the installer as administrator, this error message seems strange to me. Segoe UI font is also installed on my PC. When I try to install with default system fonts (without Segoe UI), it gives the same error again: What should I do to solve this problem?

  • Windows 8.1 won't accept my Media Center Pack Product Key

    I just installed Windows 8.1 Pro as an upgrade from an ISO torrent. I was able to activate my original Windows 8 key successfully. However, I tried to activate my Media Center Pack key that I purchased for Windows 8 and it errors out the first try. When I try to activate it again, it then says "This key won't work. Check it and try again, or try a different key.". Do I have to purchase the key again? Thanks

  • Reboot loop after Windows XP Service Pack 3 update

    Recently I upgraded to Service Pack 3, and now it seems that something has gone terribly wrong with the update. After logging in, my computer will blue screen after about 5 minutes and then go into a reboot loop (I don't have the exact error message handy). I have a Sager NP2092 notebook, running an Intel chipset. I'd rather avoid having to reformat my XP, especially with my copy of Windows 7 arriving right around the corner. After doing some Googling, I came across this article: Does your AMD-based computer boot after installing XP SP3? However, it deals with the AMD chips, and specifically states not to use its fix on Intel based systems. EDIT After killing the reboot, this is the error that pops up: STOP: 0x000000F4 (0x00000003, 0x8A187118, 0x8A18728C, 0x80604438) EDIT2 I have run Memtest86, and it reported 0 errors.

    Hii All, I would like to insatll windows 2003 server on my desktop machine which already has Windows XP service Pack 2 installed . I dont want to overwrite XP but i want to have a option to select XP or Windows 2003 server while booting . I am not sure how to go about this , am afraid if i insert Win 2003 cd and start installing directly it may overwrite XP :( . My HD is 350 GB n RAM is 2 GB with 8 partitions .     I created a Windows Server 2008 R2 foundation VM on Windows Server 2008 using Hyper-V. But I am not able to connect to internet from the VM. If I goto device manager, the network adapter branch itself is missing. I searched in google and few sites suggested I need to install the Integration Services although in one site they said Server 2008 R2 comes with integration services installed. Anyways I tried to install IntegrationServices using hyper-v but I get error dialog "error: unable to launch one of the update programs". Any suggestions on what am I supposed to do?

  • git-receive-pack : command not found.

    I made a git repo on a local machine with "git init --bare" and added it as the remote origin on the project on my main computer with ssh: git add remote origin [email protected]:repoName.git I was able to make a commit and push from my main computer to the other computer the day I created the repo, but today i tried and it didn't work. When I did "git push origin" it returned this error: bash: line 1: git-receive-pack: command not found fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly The two machines are mac the main one running Leopard and the server one running Tiger. Now I want to run the application in background once a day or once an hour. How do I set this up? Can it be done with a Foundation Tool application or is there another Xcode project type for tasks like this?

    I'm trying to run the non-GUI version of configuration wizard using power shell because I would like to set config and admin database names. GUI wizard doesn't give you all possible options for configuration. I've broken them down into separate lines to make it easier to read.
