  • Asterisk TDM Out Channel Not Recording

    - by Benny
I am trying to use the monitor command to record a TDM extension, but only the in chnnnel is being recorded. The out channel is 44 bytes and obviously no audio within. However, when monitoring a SIP or IAX phone, no problems exist. Is there some configuration I'm missing for distinguishing between TDM and SIP/IAX for recording? Thanks in advance!

  • Possible to "next track" e.g. Spotify from my app?

    - by parse
I'm planning on doing a application for Android 2.1 that changes song every minute (through what I hope exists in Android, "next track") for the application using the audio device atm. So if I have Spotify (http://www.spotify.com) running in background already, playing music, can I through my program change to the next track? Let me know if I was unclear about anything. Thanks in advance!

  • Parse (extract) DTMF in Python

    - by Joseph
If I have a recorded audio file (MP3), is there any way to get the figure out the DTMF tones that were recorded in pure Python? (If pure python is not available, then Java is okay too. The point being that it should be able to run in Google Appengine)

  • What is this line doing exactly?

    - by mystify
From the Finch audio library: - (void) play { [[sounds objectAtIndex:current] play]; current = (current + 1) % [sounds count]; // this line here... } I try to grok it: There is a number of sounds n, and current is increased by 1 on every iteration. As soon as current is bigger than number of sounds n, the modulo returns zero. That way, it starts from the beginning. Is this correct?

  • Triple Boot?? Windows 7, Windows 7 and Ubuntu??

    - by BillJeansk
Hello, currently I have dual boot with 2 windows 7. (dont ask why, long story, I need them for each with different settings involving Audio Recording) I am very keen to install the new Ubuntu and get into a new OS, out of interest but I don't want to mess with my current 2 windows installations? If I install Ubuntu, will this simply add to my list of OS boot options when you set it, like I did when I install my 2nd Windows 7 Any comments or help would be great? Thanks Bill

  • Bash: easy way to put a configurable load on a system?

    - by WizardOfOdds
In order to test how a program reacts when system resources become scarce (mainly the CPU but I'm interested in disk I/O too), I'd like to put an arbitrary load on the system. Currently I'm doing something like this: #!/bin/bash while true do echo "a" >> a.txt md5 a.txt done I could also start mp3-encoding audio files, or whatever. What would be an easy and small Bash script that could be used to simulate an arbitrary load, ideally configurable using parameter(s)?

  • retrieving detailed usb midi device information on windows xp

    - by user557353
The function midiOutGetDevCaps returns a structure MIDIOUTCAPS. I'd need more specific information when querying a usb midi device on windows xp, in particular I'd need the information displayed under "Location" when opening the respective device using the Device Manager. I need this information in order to programmatically distinguish between several MIDI Interfaces connected to a computer. Using midiOutGetDevCaps, I uniformly get "USB Audio Device" for every midi usb interface connected to the computer, so distinguishing between the interfaces is impossible.

  • Why is native libmpg123 taking so long on android with libgdx?

    - by cmbryan
I'm trying to use the gdx-audio extensions, but am having trouble decoding mp3s. It works, but very slowly!! A 10-second file is taking 6.57 seconds to decode :( Here is the method: public void decode() { Mpg123Decoder decoder = new Mpg123Decoder(externalFile); short[] sampleArray = new short[1024]; // read until we reach the end of the file while (decoder.readSamples(sampleArray, 0, sampleArray.length) > 0) {} } Can anyone tell me why this is taking so long?

  • Basic framework for presentations using HTML5 + javascript

    - by Brian C
Do you know a framework for making presentations using only HTML5 and javascript technologies? I'm not talking about "export" features of various presentation software (powerpoint or OOo presentation). Some requirements for the presentations made with this "framework": take advantage of the latest HTML5 features (audio, video, canvas?) same with CSS3 (font support, gradient, shadows, transitions and transformations) If there's no such thing, example of good presentations or pointers on the subject would be appreciated.

  • Issue with Flash Player 10.

    - by Gans
Some times when the URL is clicked it navigates to the videopage, but I am hearing audio but not seeing any video. Why might this be? I am using the latest version of Flash Player 10. The SWF in question was created in Flash 9 (CS2). var s1 = new SWFObject("flvplayer.swf","single","560","400","7"); === What is wrong with this?

  • Read part of a file in PHP

    - by Johan
I would like to read the last 1 megabyte of a MP3 file and calculate SHA1 checksum for just that part of the file. The reason that I would want this is that when I'm looking for duplicate MP3's, the header info (song title, album etc.) can differ even though it's the exakt same audio file, so I figured I would be better of to checksum a part of the file at the end instead of the whole one. Is there an efficient way of doing this?
