healthy DLL reference broken after compile multi-project solution

Hi. I have a solution with multiple class libraries. When I compile each individual library (and the web site by itself) compilation always succeeds. But, when I compile the solution as a whole, one of the library references fails with a little yellow exclamation mark next to the failed library. I am guessing this has to do with the build order? Can somebody suggest what i have to do to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

running multi threads in Java

My task is to simulate activity of couple of persons. Each of them has few activities to perform in some random time: fast (0-5s), medium(5-10s), slow(10-20s) and very slow(20-30s). Each person performs its task independently in the same time. At the beginning of new task I should print it's random time, start the task and then after time passes show next task's time and start it. multi thread apps crashes in release mode

Hello, I'm using Visual Studio 2008 (programming in c). I've a weird problem I worte a program that has 2 threads that runs simultaneously, a recording thread (using audio card to record into memory) and a translation thread (using a speech engine to recognize the words). when I run my program in debug mode (aka setting a breakpoint in the code) it runs great, however when I run in debug mode or release mode (outside the visual studio enviroment) it crashes and give me the following exception: "Unhandled exception at 0x7c911129 in LowLevel.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x014c7245." sqlite on iphone can open db but not prepare statements

I'm brand new to using sqlite so I may have missed something basic. I've created a database and copied it into my app's document's directory. I'm able to open it but when I make a call to sqlite3_prepare_v2 I receive SQLITE_ERROR, "SQL error or missing database". here's my code: sqlite3 *database; if(sqlite3_open([dbPath UTF8String], &database) == SQLITE_OK) { sqlite3_stmt *compiledStatement; NSString *sqlStatement = @"select * from dbname"; int result = sqlite3_prepare_v2(database, [sqlStatement UTF8String], -1, &compiledStatement, nil); ... } the same sql statement works in the terminal. Greetings all, Please refer to image at : http://i48.tinypic.com/316qb78.jpg We are developing an application to extract cell edges from MRC images from electron microscope. MRC file format stores volumetric pixel data (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voxel) and we simply use 3D char array(char***) to load and store data (gray scale values) from a MRC file. As shown in the image,there are 3 viewers to display XY,YZ and ZX planes respectively. Scrollbars on the top of the viewers use to change the image slice along an axis. Here is the steps we do when user changes the scrollbar position. 1) get the new scrollbar value.(this is the selected slice) 2) for the relavant plane (YZ,XY or ZX), generate (char* slice;) array for the selected slice by reading 3D char array (char***) 3) Create a new QImage* (Format_RGB888) and set pixel values by reading 'slice' (using img-setPixel(x,y,c);) 4) This new QImage* is painted in the paintEvent() method. We are going to execute "edge-detection" process in a seperate thread since it is an intensive process.During this process we need to draw detected curve (set of pixels) on top of above QImage*.(as a layer).This means we need to call drawPoint() methods outside the QT thread. Is it the best wayto use QImage for this case? What is the best way to execute QT drawing methods from another thread? thanks in advance,

I have an invoice that contains over 100 lines of product that I am trying to print. This single invoice should take over 3 pages, but when printed, the content flows off the footer and the next page is the following invoice. I am using divs instead of tables, and I can't understand why the long invoices will not print on multiple pages. Any ideas?

I prepared all my dimension tables and my fact table, primary keys etc. The source is a 'flat' (item level) table and my problem is now how to split it up and get it from one into the respective tables. Core Data multi-threading

My app starts by presenting a tableview whose datasource is a Core Data SQLite store. When the app starts, a secondary thread with its own store controller and context is created to obtain updates from the web for data in the store. However, any resulting changes to the store are not notified to the fetchedresults controller (I presume because it has its own coordinator) and consequently the table is not updated with store changes. What would be the most efficient way to refresh the context on the main thread? I am considering tracking the objectIDs of any objects changed on the secondary thread, sending those to the main thread when the secondary thread completes and invoking "[context refreshObject:....] Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is some editor of latex that managed the labels for a multifile document?. I tried with TexMaker and LED, and they offers me suggestions about the labels present in the actual document and in the "Master" document but not the labels present in other files of the structure. I made a script to find those other labels but it will be real good that the suggestions covers all the file structure automatically. Finally i tried with Vim and Latex-Suite, this extension has that posibility but i have problem configuring the grep program despite having followed all the instructions found in their website and in the help files, :(. the structure is like this: document.tex mystyle.sty mybibliography.bib tex/file1.tex tex/file2.tex tex/... img/img1.png img/img2.png . . .

C# multi CPU for ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem

I have a program that uses: ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem(new WaitCallback(FireAttackProc), fireResult); On Windows7 and Vista it works fine. When I try to run it on XP the result is a bit different from the others. I was just wondering in order to execute QueueUserWorkItem properly do I need a dual CPU system? The XP I tried to test on had .Net 3.5 installed. Inputs most welcome.

Difficulty setting ArrayList to java.sql.Blob to save in DB using hibernate

I'm trying to save a java ArrayList in a database (H2) by setting it as a blob, for retrieval later. If this is a bad approach, please say - I haven't been able to find much information on this area. I have a column of type Blob in the database, and Hibernate maps to this with java.sql.Blob. Atomikos with Hibernate will exhaust db connections

I am testing an application (Spring 2.5, Hibernate 3.5.0 Beta, Atomikos 3.6.2, and Postgreql 8.4.2) with the configuration for the DAO listed below. The problem that I see is that the pool of 10 connections with the dataSource gets exhausted after the 10's transaction. I know 'hibernate.connection.release_mode' has no effect unless the session is obtained with openSession rather then using a contextual session. I am wandering if anyone has found a way to instruct atomikos code to release connections after any transaction. Ideal Multi-Developer Lamp Stack?

I would like to build an 'ideal' lamp development stack. Dual Server (Virtualised, ESX) Apache / PHP on one, Databases (MySQL, PgSQL, etc) on the other. User (Developer) Manageable mini environments, or instance. Each developer instance shares the top level config (available modules and default config etc) A developer should have control over their apache and php version for each project. A developer might be able to change minor settings, ie magicquotes on for legacy code. Each project would determine its database provider in its code The idea is that it is one administrate-able server that I can control, and provide globally configured things like APC, Memcached, XDebug etc. Then by moving into subsets for each project, i can allow my users to quickly control their environments for various projects. Essentially I'm proposing the typical system of a developer running their own stack on their own machine, but centralised. In this way I'd hope to avoid problems like Cross OS code problems, database inconsistencies, slightly different installs producing bugs etc. I'm happy to manage this in custom builds from source, but if at all possible it would be great to have a large portion of it managed with some sort of package management. We typically use CentOS, so yum? Has anyone ever built anything like this before? Is there something turnkey that is similar to what I have described? Are there any useful guides I should be reading in order to build something like this?

So I need to find all "keys" where "basename" is null AND where child is not an array or where the array is empty and remove them. But I need to find and remove (unset) all keys where "basename" is null AND where child isn't an array or where the array is empty. Can anyone help me out and possibly tweak the function above? Hello All, I want to have a controller that can handle multiple requests. Like a UserController handling all the addUser, deleteUser, updateUser and viewUser functionality. I know that MultiActionController can be used to bundle multiple similar request into one controller. But the functionalities like addUser and updateUser involves user to enter data, which the controller need to process. Can a MultiActionController handle doSubmit kind of methods (similar to SimpleFormController). Is there any better way to handle this kind of scenario? Thanks. Ravi

If I wrap the xtabular environment in a landscape environment, then the bottom of my table gets chopped off. Does anyone have any better suggestions? Connecting to external MySQL DB from a web server not running MySQL

While I've been working with MySQL for years, this is the first time I've run across this very newbie-esq issue. Due to a client demand, I must host their website files (PHP) on a IIS server that is not running MySQL (instead, they are running MSSQL). However, I have developed the site using a MySQL database which is located on an external host (Rackspace Cloud). Obviously, my mysql_connect function is now bombing because MySQL is not running on localhost. Question: Is it even possible to hit an external MySQL database if localhost is not running MySQL? Apologies for the rookie question, and many thanks in advance.
