• Problem connecting to Hsqldb via Hibernate when running a Eclipse GWT project.

  Hi, I'm trying to run a simple GWT project where I'm trying to do a simple persitence via hibernate to a HSQLDB database. The database I'm using I have been using for at least 2 years with several osgi applications without any problems. So all I done is reused the same configuration and added a simple object mapping file. The problem I have is that I get a socket creation error when ever I try to persist the object with in GWT jetty. I now the database is up and running, I can telnet to it, run OSGI projects that uses the same config with out problems. • Error Running MVC2 application in IIS on .NET 4.0

  I recently installed the RTM version of 4.0. I now receive an error when running MVC2 websites in a .net 4 app pool. The error is "User is not available in this context." All works fine on .net 2.0 app pools or if I run the app within the VS10 web server. The error only occurs in IIS on .net 4.0. To verify that it was not something specific to my app, I created a new MVC test app from the VS template and even that app encounters this error. My next step is to reinstall .net 4.0. Has anyone else seen this error?

  I am running a sproc on an SQL Server 2005 server which is resulting in the following error: Msg 64, Level 20, State 0, Line 0 A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The specified network name is no longer available.) Once the error occurs I loose my connection to the server, but able to reconnect. There is nothing in the Event logs. The database is still functional and running its website fine. EDIT: This occurs every time I run this sproc, or it's called by an application. Any suggestions on what may be causing this error?

  On a web site I published (pre-compiled) last night, I get the following error. Before pre-compiling it, I was getting a compiler error that a User Control was not found. After compiling on another machine, and running, I get the following Parser error: "Cannot create an object of type 'System.Type' from its srting representation 'System.Int32' for the 'DataType' property" was the, now runtime, parser error I got. The offending tag is telerik:RadNumericTextBox .... DataType="System.Int32"... I emphasise again that this error only occurs on XP SP2, not on Vista and Win7. I'm off to do some Googling and issue logging at Telerik.

  I am very lost. I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 on a laptop. First reboot was fine. I ran all the recommended upgrades, and now every time I start I get just a grub>_ prompt. No error message, just the prompt, and a little banner at the top saying grub's version and telling me that I have minimal bash style editing. I've tried: 1) Re-installing grub via sudo grub-install sda (There is only one disk with only two partitions, one primary, and one for swap) 2) Changed GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=10 GRUB_TIMEOUT=30 GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="rootdelay=90" GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="rootdelay=90" in /etc/default/grub. No luck. • Works using Django development server, but throws import error with Apache using mod_wsgi

  I have a Django project that works fine with the development server that comes with it. No errors are produced at all when I use "django manage.py runserver" and the app works fine, but when I try to use it with mod_wsgi and Apache the browser displays "Internal Server Error" with a 500 error code and it generates an import error in the Apache error log. Here's the error in the log: ImportError: No module named registration I'm using the Django registration module which is located in a path like this: /opt/raj/photos/registration I know that the registration app is in the path because I can fire up a Python shell, import sys, and get a list of paths using sys.path. • No OS will boot, all freeze

  This is for a computer with the following configuration: Asus P5KPL-AM/PS motherboard Pentium D 820 (dual core 2.8 GHz) 1 x 2 GB DDR2-800 Transcend RAM 1 SATA2 Samsung 160 GB HDD 1 PATA LG CD/DVD Writer PS/2 generic Keyboard USB Razer mouse The computer was working fine till a month ago with a Hitachi HDD in place of the Samsung. But that drive died and I sent it in for warranty replacement. Since then and till last week, the computer had not been turned on. I then got hold of a spare but XPSP2-loaded Samsung drive from another computer and decided to get this computer temporarily running. However, when I tried to boot into XP, it didn't load. It got stuck at the first graphical screen. When trying Safe Mode, the file list would be updated up to diskio.sys and then freeze. If I tried to boot Kubuntu off a CD, I would get past the first menu, but then get stuck at the subsequent graphical interface in the loading process. A similar thing happend with a friend's Windows XP-on-a-pen-drive. I switched the RAM into the other slot, but no luck. Then I booted the Ultimate Boot CD and ran Memtest86+ and a couple of the bundled CPU stress tests but these detected no errors. Some searching on the Internet brought up the notion of the CPU failing to switch from "real" to "protected mode". I'm hoping to get a fix on what the problem is and what I can do about it. Edit: I've flashed to the latest BIOS, but that doesn't help. Also, Knoppix LiveCD also freezes. I notice that the LED in my mouse goes off at the time of freeze, but trying to boot without the mouse connected produces the same result.

• dotnet nuke error

  Hi there im trying to degub a dot net nuke server error and im not sure where to start. I dnt have the code locally else I could debug (no that im familiar the dnn setup). This bug affects making cms updates to the site with the message 'A critical error has occured', I have been unsuccessfully trying to find out the cause and im finally throwing up my hands, I dont even need a fix , I just want to find out what is causing the error so I can provide an estimate for a fix and I can even seem to do that. I have tried looking at the logs but nothing seems to be logged about this error, is there a way to turn off custom error handling so as to get some clues as what the cause of this bug is? any suggestions would be welcome as i am getting desperate here :)

I get the error when i'm trying to open a database in PocketPC emulator or from the program with connection's Open() method(C#)..Here it is: Description: Internal error: SQL Server Compact made an unsupported request to the host operating system. Can someone explain what can cause this error to appear. The database and application are on Storage Card(shared folder from PC, on which Everyone has read/write permissions)Thank you. FOUND that its because of storing DB on Storage Card(after moving database to 'My Documents' error disappears), but still don't know the reason of error.

  Hi at all guys, hope someone is using Mono & monodevelop... i'm getting the following error when i try to compile an ASP.NET apps ported from vs.net 2008 Error VBNC99999: Unexpected error: The classes in the module cannot be loaded. (VBNC99999) This is the only error i get. I'm using 4 external assembly / dll AjaxControlToolkit.dll FusionCharts.dll MySql.Data.dll PostBackRitalin.dll I've added the dll in bin directory, then i've referenced it. I'm using Mono, because on my "old" computer (acer aspire t2300 buyed in 2007) run with linux & with monodevelop very well. With windows, visual studio is reeeeeeally slow.. so i decide to pass to mono.. Can somenone know something about that error ? Thank you very much. Regards !

  In Flex 3 application I use HTTPService class to make requests to the server: var http:HTTPService = new HTTPService(); http.method = 'POST'; http.url = hostUrl; http.resultFormat = 'e4x'; http.addEventListener(ResultEvent.RESULT, ...); http.addEventListener(FaultEvent.FAULT, ...); http.send(params); The application has Comet-architecture. So it makes long running requests. While waiting a response for this request, other requests can be made concurrently. The application works in most cases. But sometimes some clients get HTTP request error executing long running request: faultCode:Server.Error.Request faultString:'HTTP request error' faultDetail:'Error: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032"]. URL: 'http://example.com/ws' I think it depends on user's browser. Any ideas?

• How to debug .net error where message is masked in Ajax call

  Hi, I'm currently working on a page which makes use of the MS Ajax UpdatePanel. However I've run into a strange problem. If I simply compile and view my page, one of the button click events results in an error. However, because the button affects items inside an UpdatePanel the actual exception is hidden from me: all I'm getting is a HTTP 500 error returned to me through the UpdatePanel Javascript. What's odd about this is that if I step through the code line by line in Visual Studio, I don't get the error. The button doesn't cause the behaviour I'm expecting, but it throws no errors. Because the step through isn't causing an error to be thrown, I'm at a loss how I can get to the actual exception message so I can find out where the error is being thrown and debug it.   We are running an intranet website hosted on Sharepoint 2007, serving reports to users via SSRS. Recently, our users are experiencing error when trying to access certain reports with the error message "An unexpected error has occurred". After trying many things, to cut a long story short we manage to temporarily solve the problem by manually running UPDATE STATISTICS on the tables in the database. However, this error will periodically crop up again and again, running UPDATE STATISTICS immediately solved it. I had suggested to run a daily job in the server to auto run UPDATE STATISTICS every few hours or so but was rejected by my team lead. Is there any other workaround for this error? Why does UPDATE STATISTICS solve the problem, I still not very understand?

  In my en.yml translation file, I have: activerecord: errors: template: header: one: "1 error prohibited this {{model}} from being saved" other: "{{count}} errors prohibited this {{model}} from being saved" When an activerecord/validation error occurs during logging into my application, the error message: "1 error prohibited this user session from being saved" is displayed (where user_session is the model being used). I'd rather have it say something like "An error has occured to prevent you from logging into your account". How do I override the generic error message with my specific one?

• how to send JSON data with server error response code 500

  I wanted to know if theres a way to send a JSON data along with HTTP response code 500. Basically I want my rest client to know that there is some error on the backend and along with it send a JSON error data structure like this. {"error" : [ {"code": "1001", "desc": "Some error description"}, {"code": "1002", "desc": "Some other error description"} ] } This is using the following java stack = Java 6/JAX-RS/Jersey/Tomcat If not, then is there a way to send a custom response code along with JSON data. Basically looking from JAX-RS API it looks that you can only send JSON data along with 200 OK?? Any thoughts?? I am guessing RESTEasy would be the same, right??

  My maven build started failing randomly, and it got the following error which I cannot make sense of, and googling it doesn't give me anything useful: [echo] Creating a full package... Java returned: 10 This is a random error that pops up in various point during the build process, and sometimes the build will succeed and then the next one will fail again. This is really weird, does anyone seen this before? I'm using maven 2.2.1 BTW, the error return code 10 in windows mean "Environment is invalid.:
