  • Visual Studio 2010 HTML Designer Renders Unlike IE8?

    My question is: since Visual Studio 2010 was only just released, why does it not render pages in the same way as the latest Microsoft web browser, IE8? Is there a bunch of render options I should be setting? I thought Expression Web was supposed to help with its fancy Super Preview but that app doesn't even open VS solutions. I have read that c++ Builder 2010 by default use Fastmm, but it dont seems to be the case in my projects. They still need borlandmm.dll So how can i switch my projects to use fastmm ? Regards James

  • How to add XML elements into the toolbox in Visual Studio 2010 RC

    I'm trying to edit an XML schema in Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate RC, but when I go to the toolbox (with the schema open and focused) there's absolutely nothing in the Toolbox view, even when every tutorial out there that I've read tells me that there should be. I've tried using the context menu option for resetting the Toolbox to no effect. Is there something I'm missing ? Something I need to install to get this feature of Visual Studio going ?

We want to test this code using the new Microsoft Test Manager (part of VS2010) To effectively track your testing using this tool you need to use build numbers. To get Delphi 5 or 6 building in TFS Build 2010 is a huge task. One that I am not sure I want to take on. Is there a way I can just insert my build numbers in to tfs?

    My Visual Studio 2010 was working fine this morning (I run in in XP sP3 under Paralles) I restarted the entire laptop and I started getting this error. I even uninstalled VS2010, deleted the Visual Studio 20010 directory on the My Documents area and reinstalled it, and it is still giving me that error every time I try to start it. I'm not sure if stackoverflow is the place to ask it, but I am at my wits end trying to get this running again (trying to avoid rebuilding the entire Virtual PC) Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi all! I have a custom WebPart on my welcome page in SharePoint 2010. When I open the page without signing on, the whole WebPartZone remains unrendered (according to the responded html). When signed in, my WebPart works perfectly. Afaik, my WebPart does not require any special permission, it just pulls content from some lists on the same SharePoint site. Any ideas? thx, M
