• Delphi component you can't live without?

  Most delphi developers have a list of delphi components they wouldn't live without. Not including anything that ships with Delphi (standard VCL or included third-party software like Rave or Indy), what are the components you can't live without, be they commercial or open-source?   I often find the following type of incremental definition useful: (define (foo) (display "bar")) (foo) ;prints bar (define foo (let ((bar foo)) (lambda () (display "foo") (bar)))) (foo) ;prints foobar How do I preform this type of incremental definition with macros? I could not get let-syntax to provide the same functionality. Currently I use plt scheme, but would like to see answers in different lisp implementations as well.

• Using PreferenceScreen/PreferenceActivity to configure home screen widgets

  Hi, I'm creating an appwidget, where the user should be able to configure it before it is added to the home screen. To me, PreferenceScreen/PreferenceActivity seems perfect for the task, but the intention behind these classes seem to be configuring an actual application. I've searched, but cannot find any documentation or tutorials which covers this question. Is it possible to configure a widget using these classes, or is the only alternative to configure it through an ordinary view? Thanks for any answers!

While trying to add an element in a concrete collection, this collection will use a method to determine if it can accept to store the element (and eventually that this element is not already in the collection). • vb .net login and popup simultaneously

  ok im reposting this question cause i got some off track answers last time. I have 3 aspx pages - page1, login and page3. Now when i goto login page from page1, after i login and goto page3 i should be able to open a popup on that submit and the login should change to page3. but if i goto login page directly, the popup should not open and the login will goto page3 as normal design. how can i achieve this?
