    I want to use the SqlExpress2008 Bootstrapper for a new installation on Windows7, I do not want to use the default SQLEXPRESS Instance.     I'm trying to set up a Spring JPA Hibernate simple example WAR for deployment to Glassfish. I see some examples use a persistence.xml file, and other examples do not. Some examples use a dataSource, and some do not.   • Incorrect XML produced by SUDS

    Hi, I am trying to talk to a SOAP web service using SUDS and Python. After lots of messing around learning Python (yes I am new to this) and working out how to use SUDS I have come across a problem. The signature of the web method I am calling, according to suds, is (FWTCaseCreate){ ClassificationEventCode = None Priority = None Title = None Description = None Queue = None DueDate = None AssociatedObject = (FWTObjectBriefDetails){ ObjectID = (FWTObjectID){ ObjectType = None ObjectReference[] = <empty> } ObjectDescription = None Details = None Category = None } Form = (FWTCaseForm){ FormField[] = <empty> FormName = None FormKey = None } Internal = None InteractionID = None XCoord = None YCoord = None } So I use SUDS to create the classes that I want and send it to the method. However I get an error. So I turned logging on and I can see that the XML that is being sent is not correct which is causing a deserialize error. If I cut and paste this xml into SOAPUI and first remove this element and then post it directly to the web service it works successfully. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? I guess SUDS thinks that it should be there based on the WSDL. Thanks.

    Im looking for some advice/suggestions on how I should setup the work flow of a small application Im building. When the application is launched the datagrid will be populated via the XML file. Once running the application will receive a datastream that I hope to update the file and datagrid. So Im curious what you would suggest on how I setup the workflow (ie, split the data from the data stream and simultaneously populate the file and grid or would you suggest populating the XML file first and setting up a timer to have the grid read the file?) Im really looking for optimal performance.

    I am accessing this data from a web server using NSURL, what I am trying to decide is should I read this as XML or should I just use NSScanner and rip out the [data] bit I need. I have looked around the web for examples of extracting fields from XML on the iPhone but it all seems a bit overkill for what I need. Can anyone make any suggestions or point me in the right direction. I am building a simple app for myself and looking for something what I could start using immediately without learning complex API. Support for synonyms would be great, that is it should be easier to retrieve all the synonyms for particular word. It would be absolutely fantastic if dictionary would be listing British and American spelling of the words where they are differ. Even if it would be small dictionary (few 000's words) that's ok, I only need it for small project.   • Maven test failure xml FileNotFoundException

    My Maven build is failing on Hudson with a FileNotFoundException, I do not get the same failure through NetBeans. The FileNotFoundException is for some xml files in the same packages as my test classes themselves. It would appear these are not getting copied as part of the build in the same way the class files are. Do I have to add something to my POM for the xml files to be copied? If any more information is required please let me know, I wanted to keep the question short incase it was something simple.

    Looking for advice on the best technique for saving complex Python data structures across program sessions. Here's a list of techniques I've come up with so far: pickle/cpickle json jsonpickle xml database (like SQLite) Pickle is the easiest and fastest technique, but my understanding is that there is no guarantee that pickle output will work across various versions of Python 2.x/3.x or across 32 and 64 bit implementations of Python. Json only works for simple data structures. Jsonpickle seems to correct this AND seems to be written to work across different versions of Python. Serializing to XML or to a database is possible, but represents extra effort since we would have to do the serialization ourselves manually. Thank you, Malcolm
