• How to make a table view which can be scrolled for ever?

  I have a set of 100 rows, pretty similar to values which can be selected in a picker. When the user scrolls the table, I want the rows to be appended like an forever-ongoing assembly-belt. So when the user scrolls down and reaches the row 100, and scrolls even further, the table view will show again row 1, and so on. Reverse direction same thing. My thoughts: don't display scroll indicators (they would make not much sense, probably) what value to return in the numberOfRows delegate method? This infinity constant? in cellForRowAtIndexPath: simply wrap the index around when it exceeds bounds?

Right now our SharePoint sites built on FBA based, so all sites are behind login page. Now I export each updates from these lists to our another external public site (anonymous). I know we have default View RSS Feed option. But that is not working for all readers like Google Reader, etc. Is there any free developer (open source) tool supports in this?   Hi. I have a project going on, and I am in charge of the front-end design, whereas my developers will work on the back-end with Ruby on Rails. I do not know Ruby on Rails, and am designing front-end using XHTML, CSS, jQuery, 960.gs CSS Framework. My developer is supposed to take my design and connect the elements of back-end to it, with Ajax too. What are the things that I should know while designing the template/view so that I won't kick my developers' asses with my design? How to help the connecting of elements painless? I understand I must avoid . Some Ruby on Rails developers also prefer Blueprint CSS Framework over 960.gs. Any guidance? Thanks.

• How can I "slide up" a view on android from the bottom of a screen?

  I'm trying to make a really simple slide up list view, which is displayed when a user clicks on a button at the bottom of the screen. Here's how it should look: And a complete implementation in HTML/JS http://jsbin.com/utAQOVA/1/edit I've tried to use RelativeLayout to position the list just below the button, and put that whole thing into a wrapper and then animate that up/down (same as in the JSBin above). The problem is that the bottom part which isn't visible in the beginning is somehow clipped, even if I slide it up. Evern if I initially show a portion of the list as the screenshow below shows, the bottom part gets clipped when it moves up and only the part that was initially visible is displayed. • LINQ to SQL for tables across databases. Or View?

  I have a Message table and a User table. Both are in separate databases. There is a userID in the Message table that is used to join to the User table to find things like userName. How can I create this in LINQ to SQL? I can't seem to do a cross database join. Should I create a View in the database and use that instead? Will that work? What will happen to CRUD against it? E.g. if I delete a message - surely it won't delete the user? I'd imagine it would throw an error. What to do? I can't move the tables into the same database!

• How to skip interstitial in a django view if a user hits the back button?

  I have an application with an interstitial page to hold the user while an intensive operation runs in the background (takes anywhere from 30 secs to 1 minute). Once the operation is done, the user is redirected to the results page. Once on the result page, typical user behavior is to hit the 'back' button to perform the operation on a different input set. However, the back button takes them to the interstitial, not the original form. The desired behavior is to go back to the original form, skipping the interstitial entirely. I'd like this to be default behavior if the user goes to the interstitial page from anywhere but the original form. I thought I could create this by using the @never_cache function decorator in my view for the interstitial, and logic based on request.META['HTTP_REFERER'], however the page doesn't respect these. The browser's back button still trumps this behavior. Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

  I'm new to CSS and this issue in Visual Studio is driving me mad! I have a background image defined within a simple style sheet... body { background-image: url(Images\Greenhouse.jpg); background-position: center; } My style sheet is referenced within the HTML code... <head runat="server"> <title></title> <link rel="Stylesheet" type="text/css" href="Stylesheet.css"/> </head> The background image shows in design view but in the browser, nothing! I've tried changing position etc and refreshed the browser, cleared the cache etc. This happens with all my images. Images are within the project folder (\Images) and added to the solution explorer in VS. Tried "", changing image file names etc, nothing is working!

Perhaps more appropriately, if you have a separate viewmodel for each view associated with ContactController, should ContactManagerService have a separate method to return each viewmodel?

The user should be able to add a new line, remove a line, then submit. One caveat is the PartNumber needs to be a dropdown list of valid parts. What can I do to accomplish what I'm looking for?

• Forcing EditorFor to prefix input items on view with Class Name?

  I have an EditorFor: <%: Html.EditorFor(model => model.Client, "ClientTemplate", new { editing = false })%> This will bind coming down to the view fine (as expected) but will not bind bind back when the model gets posted. This is due to the form id's not being prefixed with "Client." Usually in this situation i just pass in model and then bind the inputs to model.Client.PropertyName in the Template but this is not an option in this case as the template is used on two different viewmodels (that have client on).   In short, how to add minutes to a datetime from an integer located in another table, in one select statement, by joining them? I have a table P(int id, ..., int minutes) and a table S(int id, int p_id, datetime start) I want to generate a view that gives me PS(S.id, P.id, S.start + P.minutes) by joining S.p_id=P.id The problem is, if I was generating the query from the application, I can do stuff like: select datetime('2010-04-21 14:00', '+20 minutes'); 2010-04-21 14:20:00 By creating the string '+20 minutes' in the application and then passing it to sqlite. However I can't find a way to create this string in the select itself: select p.*,datetime(s.start_at, formatstring('+%s minutes', p.minutes)) from p,s where s.p_id=p.id; Because sqlite as far the documentation tells, does not provide any string format function, nor can I see any alternative way of expressing the date modifiers.

Programs such as wget or curl will non-interactively retrieve a set of URLs, but do not execute javascript or any of that 'fancy stuff'. My ideal solution looks like any of the following (fantasy solutions): cat urls.txt | google-chrome --quiet --no-gui \ --output-sources-directory=~/urls-source (fantasy command line, no idea if flags like these exist) or cat urls.txt | python -c "import some-library; \ ... use some-library to process urls.txt ; output sources to ~/urls-source" As a secondary concern, I also need: dump all included javascript source to file (a la firebug) dump pdf/image of page to file (print to file)

• In Visual Studio 2010, how do you invoke the "View In Browser" feature on an MVC app?

  In Visual Studio 2010, you can right-click an aspx page in a web forms app, or on the web forms app itself in the solution explorer, and you get "View in Browser" in your context menu. In ASP.NET MVC projects, this item doesn't seem to be available in the context menu. The only way I know to run the app is to set the MVC app as a startup project and hit CTRL+F5. But, if there are two MVC apps in the solution, this doesn't really work. How do you accomplish this for mvc apps?

• Alternate to control+drag to connect view element with file owner in xCode interface builder?

  Working on an iPhone application through a TightVNC connection into a Mac Mini; the control+drag operation in Interface Builder to connect a view element to file owner doesn't work - I don't see the connecting line. It does work when I connect keyboard, mouse and monitor to the Mini and work on it directly, however it is a lot more convenient for me to run it through a VNC connection. Must be some quirk of the TightVNC connection that is preventing this. I tried different TightVNC settings for the cursor (let server handle it and so on) but no luck. Is there an alternative to control+drag to hook up outlets?

  hi, some bad legancy web application projects still have classic asp files. these project consist of 95% of classic .asp files and the rest only of asp.net (.aspx). if you right click on an .aspx file in the solution explorer of VS you can choose "view in browser" and "browse with...". however if i right click on an classic .asp file there, there is no such option! do you have any tip/hint/addin for me so that it will show these two context menu entries also for .asp files? i run all my projects in IIS not the build in casini web development server VS comes with! thanks, toebens

  I have classes Compose and Haiku, each connected to a view controller in IB. Haiku is instantiated in Compose as ghhaiku. Haiku has an array, self.arrayOfHaiku, with 117 members. But in Compose, self.ghhaiku.arrayOfHaiku has no members. I think the problem is that I haven't linked the instance of Haiku that has the 117-member array with the instance of Haiku created in Compose. But how do I do that? (I could of course be totally wrong and the problem could be something else, but that seems to make intuitive sense.) Any thoughts?

• How do I tell Entity Framework that a column in a view is nullable?

  I have a view which has an Int column which is nullable (let's call it StackOverflowCount). When generating an EF model from the database, the EF designer does not recognise it as nullable and creates the column as an Int. The issue I have is that on the EF designer I have set the column to Nullable and the following error then kills the compilation; Error 3031: Problem in mapping fragments starting at line 2327: Non-nullable column MyView.StackOverflowCount in table MyView is mapped to a nullable entity property. I can get round this by opening the .edmx file in XML mode and manually editing the SQL column definition, but there is no way to do this using the designer and it gets overwritten the next time I refresh from the model from the DB. Is this 'by design' or an example of something that slipped through into EF 4.0? I'm using .Net 4.0 with EF 4.0 under VS 2010.
