• .NET: IOException for permissions when creating new file?

  I am trying to create a new file and write XML to it: FileStream output = File.Create(Path.Combine(PATH_TO_DATA_DIR, fileName)); The argument evaluates to: C:\path\to\Data\test.xml The exception is: The process cannot access the file 'C:\path\to\Data\test.xml' because it is being used by another process. What am I doing wrong here? UPDATE: This code throws the same exception: StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(Path.Combine(PATH_TO_DATA_DIR, fileName)); UPDATE 2: The file I am trying to create does not exist in the file system. So how can be it in use?

  I have developed a Web Service using JAX-WS (v2.1.3 - Sun JDK 1.6.0_05) deployed on WebLogic 10.3 that works just fine when I use a Java client or SoapUI or other Web Services testing tools. Standalone client is Spring application that uses <jee:remote-slsb> bean. • How do I use logback-access in combination with Tomcat 5.5?

  I've got several Web apps running on a Tomcat 5.5 server, and I'm working on improving/updating the overall logging system used throughout the system. I already had some success with logback-classic. However, when I try to use logback-access (i.e. access the lbAccessStatus servlet), I get this exception: exception javax.servlet.ServletException: Wrapper cannot find servlet class ch.qos.logback.access.ViewStatusMessagesServlet or a class it depends on org.apache.catalina.authenticator.AuthenticatorBase.invoke(AuthenticatorBase.java:433) ... root cause java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: ch.qos.logback.access.ViewStatusMessagesServlet org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.loadClass(WebappClassLoader.java:1386) ... I have everything set up according to the docs: common/lib: logback-classic-0.9.15.jar logback-core-0.9.15.jar server/lib: logback-access-0.9.15.jar Moving around the libraries doesn't seem to help. logback-classic seems to work fine, it's just logback-access that causes problems.

• iPhone Simulator chrashes in NSKeyedUnarchiver after setting base SDK

  Hi! I started a project in xcode (3.2 on snow leopard) with base sdk 3.1.2. Now I changed this setting to 3.0 and it compiles without a warning. There are no problems running the app on the device, but the simulator crashes on launch every time with the following exception: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '[NSKeyedUnarchiver initForReadingWithData:]: incomprehensible archive (0x4e, 0x49, 0x42, 0x41, 0x72, 0x63, 0x68, 0x69)' I do not use the NSKeyedUnarchiver, so why is the app trying to call it? And what archive is incomprehensible? I reset the simulator before building, so there are no userDefaults or anything else around. Thanks for your help!

  We have a Oracle Date column. At first in our Java/Hibernate class we were using java.sql.Date. This worked but it didn't seem to store any time information in the database when we save so I changed the Java data type to Timestamp.   Hi, I am getting a timeout exception when trying to use a net tcp endpoint through code that has no security and is streamed like so: NetTcpBinding binding = new NetTcpBinding(SecurityMode.None); binding.TransferMode = TransferMode.Streamed; binding.SendTimeout = TimeSpan.MaxValue; the same code would work if i just leave out the SecurityMode.None or choose SecurityMode.Transport, the exception is on a timeout that is too low, i tired adding all the timeouts for recive, send, open, close and set them all to Max and that didnt work. im using sample code from: http://csharp-codesamples.com/2009/02/data-transfer-using-self-hosted-wcf-service/ Any explenation as to how to use no security in this scenario would be appriciated. I'm developing a asp.net mvc application with nhibernate and I would not like to expose my objects mappings with NHibernate, so I created DTO for each entity and I'm trying to convert my Domain objects to DTO and send it to View. So I have in my sollution: ClassLibrary with my Domain (for NHibernate) and DTO objetcs Class library to make a SessionFactory adn Factories in my Project Asp.Net MVC 2 Application So, I download AutoMapper to transform Domain objects in DTO and add a the code to do this in Application_Start of global.asax. When I run in VisualStudio (by pressing F5) it works fine and my dtos are into the view, So when I publish this in IIS, I get a security exception =( in first line of conversion: Mapper.CreateMap(); <--- this line throw exception Mapper.CreateMap(); System.Security.SecurityException: Failed request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.ReflectionPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'. What can I do to resolve this to work in IIS ? When I will publish it on web server, the error will get too :( Thanks Cheers

  I have some simple repeater code given here: <asp:Repeater ID="ResultsRepeater" runat="server" DataSourceID="ResultsDS"> <HeaderTemplate> <table id="Results" class="data"> <tr id="Header" runat="server"> <th>Item</th> </tr> </table> </HeaderTemplate> </asp:Repeater> I used to be able to then access the repeater to get said header, as such: HtmlTableRow header = ResultsRepeater.Controls[0].Controls[0].FindControl("Header") as HtmlTableRow; After implementing master pages, I noticed my calls to header.InnerText and .InnerHtml throw exceptions, specifically: 'header.InnerHtml' threw an exception of type 'System.NotSupportedException' 'header.InnerText' threw an exception of type 'System.NotSupportedException' Can anyone share what's going on with me? I am of course assuming master pages caused this, since it's the only thing I've changed besides minor updates (that should not affect this in any way).

  I have a little Java Applet and I have an annoying issue. I have signed my JAR with my own keystore using jarsigner tool (following these instructions). The Java Applet downloads a signed JAR and tries to launch it with an extended class of URLClassLoader. • How to get descriptive error messages from DB2?

  When I call a SQL statement via JDBC on the DB2 and the statement fails, I catch an SQLException with the following message text: com.ibm.db2.jcc.a.nn: DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-206, SQLSTATE=42703, SQLERRMC=O.METADATENSATZ, DRIVER=3.52.95 I tried an automatic translation of the message according to the error list published by IBM, but there are placeholders inside the messages referencing other elements of the exception. While looking for these elements inside the exception, I found the DB2ExceptionFormatter and tried to use it to access the missing elements. But here I stopped, because the DB2ExceptionFormatter gave me a clue: Error occurred while trying to obtain message text from server. Only message tokens are available. So my question is: What do I have to configure to get the correct messages from the DB2 server? If I can get a human readable message from the server, I could use it directly and wouldn't have to translate it by myself.

• What can i do about an ObjectDisposedException in a dll i cannot access?

  Hey guys, I'm using a dll to monitor calls (Atapi.dll). Sometimes when events occur, there's an ObjectDisposedException. This seems to be random, i don't know what causes it. I can't debug it and i don't have the source code to it. The events that cause the exception are call events (conencting calls) through Tapi 2.0. It does not causes my app to crash. If i press on the continue button of the window visual studio is generating, the app continues ignoring the exception, but i'd rather not see it happening. I tried catching all code (not much) i have writting, but nothing catches it, and it also says i cannot debug it, because it is thrown in the dll. Does anyone have any idea how to solve or get pass this obstacle? Thanks in advance.

• vb.net pdf reader load problem

  From the tools menu I have done right clickchoose itemCOM (tab) and ticked adobe pdf reader. From here I simply dragged the pdf tool onto my form. That's all I've done. Now on form load it throws a bug. "InvalidOperationException was unhandled" hovering over the message it says the following, An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details. The error is: Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)) Any ideas anyone? Gonna take a mastermind to work this one out seriously

  Hi All, I am making MSSQL stored procedure CLR calls from ASP pages. When an exception occurs, it is logged and then rethrown. In this scenario I need to be able to handle the exception (if possible) in the ASP page. Note that I cannot move away from classic ASP in this instance; I am stuck within a legacy system for this project. Please let me know if you know of a way to handle the exceptions in classic ASP. • Eclipse + Git: Can't add files to my repository

  I use Eclipse (Helios) with PDT and egit. I have a project without versioning, so I created a git repository for it by doing: Team -> Share Project When I try to add the files of my project to the repository: Team -> Add I get an exception: Failed to add resource to index Failed to add resource to index Exception caught during execution of add command When I add the files manually on the command line, everything is working fine. Any ideas? I'm working on a windows machine and using a samba share to get access to the code on the virtual machine. I've put the filesystem permissions on my .git directory to 777, but still it does not work.
