  • Run SQL scripts on windows mobile installer

    Hi, We are working on a Windows Mobile 6.5 application. The application is already installed in some devices, and we need to distribute a new version with changes in the database schema (we added a few tables). Is there a way to make a "patch" windows mobile installer that will replace the application and update the embedded SQL database with some scripts? In a normal windows installer we would create a custom action in the installation process to apply the changes in the database, but I'm not sure how to do that for Windows Mobile Thanks.

    I'm trying to implement paging using row-based limiting (for example: setFirstResult(5) and setMaxResults(10)) on a Hibernate Criteria query that has joins to other tables. Understandably, data is getting cut off randomly; and the reason for that is explained here. As a solution, the page suggests using a "second sql select" instead of a join. How can I convert my existing criteria query (which has joins using createAlias()) to use a nested select instead?

    I have an Entity Data Model that I have created, and its pulling in records from a SQLite DB. One of the Tables is People, I want to override the person.Equals() method but I'm unsure where to go to make such a change since the Person object is auto-generated and I don't even see where that autogen code resides. I know how to override Equals on a hand made object, its just where to do that on an autogen one.

The problem is that I need those different styles for different tables and I'm unable to differentiate them and the menu's css styles get overlapped with the new css style. How can I avoid this problem; the menu.jsp has been included into another page. Is there a way to avoid overriding of the styles?

How to frame the SQL ?

But I have the problem I can create a new connexion to a postgresql database it's ok but when I click in Tool - Generate Data classes and select the connexion I've created before I obtain nothing, no tables appear.     Hi, I see people using LEFT JOIN in their mysql queries to fetch data from two tables. But I normally do it without left join. Is there any differences besides the syntax, e.g. performance? Here's my normal query style: SELECT * FROM table1 as tbl1, table2 as tbl2 WHERE tbl1.id=tbl2.table_id as compared to SELECT * FROM table1 as tbl1 LEFT JOIN table2 as tbl2 on tbl1.id=tbl2.id Personally I prefer the first style...hmm..

Now the only problem I've got is N+1 select queries when doing a simple loading.     Hi, I have an application where I receive each data 40.000 rows. I have 5 million rows to handle (500 Mb MySQL 5.0 database). Actually, thoses rows are stored in the same table = slow to update, hard to backup, ... Which king of scheme is used in such application to allow long term accessibility to the datas without problems with too big tables, easy backup, fast read / write ?
