• "org.json.JSONArray implements Serializable": What's the best option to achieve this?

  I am using Grails Webflow, what ever object I pass to a view, it must be Serialized. My domain models "implement Serializable", so they work. The problem is when I get a response from a WebService. It is of the org.json.JSONArray class. I just want to pass the whole Array over to the view yet it doesn't implement Serializable, so it fails, Any thoughts on how I can pass this, or my best option? Can I just edit the source of the org.json library and make every class "imp Serializable"? Or process the result into Domain objects that do "imp Serializable"

  How do I get around Inconsistant accessibilty error in C # ? I need to pass a pointer to a node in a linked list to a method. When I do, I get a "Compiler Error CS0051" Example The following sample generates CS0051: Copy Code // CS0051.cs public class A { // Try making B public since F is public // B is implicitly private here class B { } public static void F(B b) // CS0051 { } public static void Main() { } } That is a simple example. The actual program is a bit more complicated. I am actually using a node in a linked list to pass to the method LinkedListNode node The method uses recursion because the node is mart of a huge linked list structure of linked lists that outputs an xml file. Either I have to find a way to use recursion without using methods or I need to find a way to pass pointers nodes or actual nodes.

• Malloc to a CGPoint Pointer throwing EXC_BAD_ACCESS when accessing

  I am trying to use a snippet of code from a Apple programming guide, and I am getting a EXC_BAD_ACCESS when trying to pass a pointer to a function, right after doing a malloc. (For Reference: iPhone Application Programming Guide: Event Handling - Listing 3-6) The code in question is really simple: CFMutableDictionaryRef touchBeginPoints; UITouch *touch; .... CGPoint *point = (CGPoint *)CFDictionaryGetValue(touchBeginPoints, touch); if (point == NULL) { point = (CGPoint *)malloc(sizeof(CGPoint)); CFDictionarySetValue(touchBeginPoints, touch, point); } Now when the program goes into the if statement it assigns the 'output' of malloc into the point variable/pointer. Then when it tries to pass point into the CFDictionarySetValue function it crashes the application with: Program received signal: “EXC_BAD_ACCESS”. Someone suggested not doing the malloc and pass the point var/pointer as: &point, however that still gave me a EXC_BAD_ACCESS. What I am (and it looks like Apple) doing wrong??? Thanks in advance.

  hi, I've hard time to make Drupal work on IIS Microsoft server. I've succesfully run Joomla on the same server so I'm pretty sure the following information are correct: host: localhost user: user pass: pass databaseName = servername_databasename I've set the following line in settings.php file: $db_url = 'mysql://user:password@localhost/servername_databasename'; but what I get is this: If you are the maintainer of this site, please check your database settings in the settings.php file and ensure that your hosting provider's database server is running. For more help, see the handbook, or contact your hosting provider. I don't get any other error message such as: database doesn't exist, user/pass wrong.. just this. The database is running, I can access with phpmyadmin. I've tried both "mysql" and "mysqli". The host is a private server (IIS Microsoft), the database is Mysql The database and website files upload have also been succesfull.. so I dunno what to do to fix this issue. thanks

  I have a remote service that I need to access, according to the documentation it's restricted using basic authentication and all requests have to be posted (HTTP POST).   I'm trying to find the actual class of a django-model object, when using model-inheritance. Some code to describe the problem: class Base(models.model): def basemethod(self): ... class Child_1(Base): pass class Child_2(Base): pass If I create various objects of the two Child classes and the create a queryset containing them all: Child_1().save() Child_2().save() (o1, o2) = Base.objects.all() I want to determine if the object is of type Child_1 or Child_2 in basemethod, I can get to the child object via o1.child_1 and o2.child_2 but that reconquers knowledge about the childclasses in the baseclass. • datetime command line argument in python 2.4

  I want to pass a datetime value into my python script on the command line. My first idea was to use optparse and pass the value in as a string, then use datetime.strptime to convert it to a datetime. This works fine on my machine (python 2.6), but I also need to run this script on machines that are running python 2.4, which doesn't have datetime.strptime. How can I pass the datetime value to the script in python 2.4? • JSF, How to set a property in a different page/backing bean and then navigate to that page?

  I am using JSF 2.0 and attempting to pass values between different pages in my App. The setup is as follows: I have a page called userSelect that has a backing bean userSelectBacking. On this page I display a list of users that can be selected and submit using an h:commandbutton, when the page is submit the navigation goes to a userEdit page. I have a page called userEdit, that has a backing bean userEditBacking which displays the information for a user and allows that user to be edited. I would like to pass the user selected from the userSelect page into the userEdit page. I am currently using f:setPropertyActionListener to set the user in my userEdit backing from the userSelect page, however when I navigate to the userEdit page, it loses the information I set. is there a way that I can pass the values between the two pages/backing beans? thanks

  What is the correct (recommended method) for passing information to a view in a MVC environment. Currently we use Zend Framework, where we write classes to handle specific things EG a Book class with a save and load method to retrieve info from the DB, which is called from a particular nameAction(). What I would like to know is what is the best way to pass this information to the view, in some cases we do $this-view-book_name = $book-getBookName(); and in other cases we do the following $this-view-book = $book; OR $this-view-books = Book_Manager::getAllBooks(); and then access the object(s) properties in the view. Information on-line suggests we try limit what access a view has to information, i.e pass them only what they need and in some cases people say its ok to pass stuff through as long as nothing is done to that information. • What's void *userData exactly?

  In a C function declaration, I have seen this parameter definition: void *userData so, what exactly is that? My guess: the void says it can be anything arbitrary, or even nothing. Almost similar to id of objective-c. It just allows to pass in whatever data structure you like. The star in front of userData says, that the argument must be passed in by reference. So when using this stuff in the function body, typically it must be casted and dereferenced. So if I pass in an pointer to SomeClass instance, I would get that like this: SomeClass *myObj = (SomeClass*)userData; In the case I had nothing special to pass along, I would provide NULL as argument. Are my assumptions correct? Or did I get something wrong?

  In my edit.haml file, I have =render :partial => 'old_question_tags', :locals => {:current_question => @question.id}. I'd like to pass the value in :current_question to a link_to_remote call in _old_question_tags.haml: #{link_to_remote image_tag('red-x.png', {:alt => "Remove #{t.name} tag"}), :url => {:action => 'remove_old_tag_from_question', :tag_remove => t.id, :current_question => current_question}} But I get this error on the link_to_remote line: ActionView::TemplateError (undefined local variable or method `current_question' for #<ActionView::Base:0xdb2fec8>) In _old_question_tags.haml, if I just print current_question (using =current_question), it prints the number without any problems. How do I properly pass that value to the partial so that I can pass it to the link_to_remote call?

• iPhone post-processing with a single FBO with Opengl ES 2.0?

  I am trying to implement post-processing (blur, bloom, etc.) on the iPhone using OpenGL ES 2.0. I am running into some issues. When rendering during my second rendering step, I end up drawing a completely black quad to the screen instead of the scene (it appears that the texture data is missing) so I am wondering if the cause is using a single FBO. Is it incorrect to use a single FBO in the following fashion? For the first pass (regular scene rendering), I attach a texture as COLOR_ATTACHMENT_0 and render to a texture. glFramebufferTexture2D(GL_FRAMEBUFFER, GL_COLOR_ATTACHMENT0, GL_TEXTURE_2D, texturebuffer, 0) For the second pass (post-processing), I attach the color renderbuffer to COLOR_ATTACHMENT_0 glFramebufferRenderbuffer(GL_FRAMEBUFFER, GL_COLOR_ATTACHMENT0, GL_RENDERBUFFER, colorRenderbuffer) Then use the texture from the first pass for rendering as a quad on the screen.

Using the following php, I pass an array: $c = array(3,2,7); echo json_encode($c); My javascript is as follows: $.post("getLatLong.php", { latitude: 500000}, function(data){ arrayData = data document.write(arrayData) document.write(arrayData[0]); document.write(arrayData[0]); document.write(arrayData[0]); }); </script> What is printed out on screen is [3,2,7][3, I'm trying to understand how json_encode works - I though I would be able to pass the array to a variable, and then access it like a normal javascript array, but it views my array as one large text string. How do ensure that it reads it like an array?

  I am aware of passing data between jsp in spring web flow. Is it possible to transfer data between html pages driven by spring web flow. I don't want to use the HTML5 local storage capabilities. Example: Page 1: Search box for an employee id. Page 2: Search result for the employee details. Two ways that I could think: Get the employee details in page 1 by ajax and pass the result to the page two. Pass the employee id to page 2 and get the result by ajax in onload. In both case I need to pass any variable/data. I am confused in doing this. Is there anything in the Spring webflow using which I could do this? Thanks in advance, Easwar
