  • Javascript How do I force a string + variable to be evaluated as a variable

    Im not even sure how to word this and is probably why I am having trouble finding an answer in google. When the code is run currentCardRow will equal 1 therefore it should be cardSelected1 which is what is shown in the console.log. I need it to go a step further because cardSelected1 is a variable and I need it to evaluate show in the console log as Invitation. Invitation is an example of a variable for cardSelected1. I am not sure on what the correct syntax is to make this happen. var currentCardSelected = "cardSelected" + currentCardRow; Thanks for your help!

Every example of this scenerio that I can find says to first boot into single user mode. What if my server is currently running in multiuser mode and I have no sessions open as root. How exactly do I order an orderly shutdown without root access so that I can begin the password recovery process?

I require to call service for Window Application and i am using below code to open service Host, using (ServiceHost host = new ServiceHost( typeof(class1), new Uri[] { new Uri("net.pipe://localhost") }) ) { } & Then we have clinet Console application to connect to serviceHost. Problem is, When i create service/Client application Using Conslole Application both are working fine. But if i call servide code form Window application to connect to console client it gives Error for Binding Error like("No End Point/Address found to test") Can any one help me to run service from C# window application ?     After I shut down my computer it automatically starts up again. I've tried re-installing Windows 7 64-bit, resetting my BIOS, installing the newest drivers and also changing the boot and recovery settings. The motherboard I have is a MSI P67A-GD65 (B3), and the processor is a Intel Core i7-2600K. How can I shut down my computer and have it stay off? Also, what is causing it to immediately boot back up?

    I'm running a dual boot configuration on my laptop using Ubuntu 10.04b and Windows 7 Home Premium. Windows 7 was the original OS and I added a 'side by side' installation of Ubuntu. Ubuntu, however, shows up first on the list. I'd like to change this order and make Windows 7 first, followed by Ubunutu, then all of the recovery boots after that. Any help on how this is done?

    I would like to write a simple program in c++. After the program is done i would like to get my answers in form of a graph or picture that would give some certain information if i click on a certain area. i have only written console apllications in c++ before and don't really have a clue where to start with the graphic part of it all. Can I write the first part of the program in console mode and some how run it under the WIN32 later? for ex what will happen to the cout<<"foo"; commands? Is there a simpler approach to do some very basic graphic programming.

    I have an application that is supposed to read from the Registry and when executing a console application my registry access works perfectly. However when I move it over to a test this returns null: var masterKey = Registry.LocalMachine.OpenSubKey("path_to_my_key"); So my question is: Does Visual Studio run Tests with a less privileged process? I tested to see what user this gave me: var x = WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Name; and it gives me the same as in the console application. So I am a bit confused here.

    I'm writing a function that basically waits for the user to hit "enter" and then does something. What I've found that works when testing is the below: #include <stdio.h> int main() { int x = getc(stdin); if (x == '\n') { printf("carriage return"); printf("\n"); } else { printf("missed it"); printf("\n"); } } The question I have, and what I tried at first was to do: "if (x == '\r')" but in testing, the program didn't catch me hitting enter. The '\n' seems to correspond to me hitting enter from the console. Can someone explain the difference? Also, to verify, writing it as "if... == "\n"" would mean the character string literal? Ie the user would literally have to enter "\n" from the console, correct? Thanks!

    I have 2 modules. Each contains a Sub with the same name. See below: Module moduleA Public Sub f(ByVal arg1 As myType) Console.WriteLine("module A") End Sub End Module Module moduleB Public Sub f(ByVal arg1 As myType, ByVal arg2 As Boolean) Console.WriteLine("module B") End Sub End Module But the compiler complains that there's ambiguity between moduleA and moduleB. How could this be? I have totally different signatures. However, if I put the 2 methods into the same module, there's no ambiguity at all. Could someone tell me why? Many thanks.

In the success() function though console.log (globalTitle); constantly gives me "a". It's like the variable is assigned but is then cached every time success() is called. Happens in FF 4 and Chrome 8. Any thoughts?
