  • WCF with No security

    - by james.ingham
Hi all, I've got a WCF service setup which I can consume and use as intendid... but only on the same machine. I'm looking to get this working over multiple computers and I'm not fussed about the security. However when I set (client side) the security to = none, I get a InvalidOperationException: The service certificate is not provided for target 'http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8731/Design_Time_Addresses/WcfServiceLibrary/ManagementService/'. Specify a service certificate in ClientCredentials. So I'm left with: <security mode="Message"> <message clientCredentialType="None" negotiateServiceCredential="false" algorithmSuite="Default" /> </security> But this gives me another InvalidOperationException: The service certificate is not provided for target 'http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8731/Design_Time_Addresses/WcfServiceLibrary/ManagementService/'. Specify a service certificate in ClientCredentials. Why would I have to provide a certificate if security was turned off? • Generating Class Diagram

    - by GustlyWind
HI All I am at the end of the release of my project. So in order to keep working our manger asked us to generate Class Diagrams for the code we had written. Its medium project with 3500 java files .So I think we need to generate class diagrams.First I need to know how reverse engineering works here. Also I looked for some tools in Google(Green, Violet) but not sure whether they are of any help. Please suggest me how to proceed. Also a good beginning tutorial is appreciated.

  • Why are emails sent from my applications being marked as spam?

    - by Brian
Hi. I have 2 web apps running on the same server. The first is www.nimikri.com and the other is www.hourjar.com. Both apps share the same IP address (75.127.100.175). My server is through a shared hosting company. I've been testing my apps, and at first all my emails were being delivered to me just fine. Then a few days ago every email from both apps got dumped into my spam box (in gmail and google apps). So far the apps have just been sending emails to me and nobody else, so I know people aren't manually flagging them as spam. I did a reverse DNS lookup for my IP and the results I got were these: 100.127.75.in-addr.arpa NS DNS2.GNAX.NET. 100.127.75.in-addr.arpa NS DNS1.GNAX.NET. Should the reverse DNS lookup point to nimikri.com and hourjar.com, or are they set up fine the way they are? I noticed in the email header these 2 lines: Received: from nimikri.nimikri.com From: Hour Jar <[email protected]> Would the different domain names be causing gmail to think this is spam? Here is the header from one of the emails. Please let me know if any of this looks like a red flag for spam. Thanks. • Tool for documentation of the fields of a database ?

    - by Jerome WAGNER
Hello, I need to add documentation to all fields of 2 databases (1 postgresql & 1 sql server), around 100 tables each. What tool would be convenient to do that (reverse the schema + add documentation manually on all fields) ? My favors would go to an open source tool with a graphical & xml output. Thanks for your help Jerome WAGNER

  • Treeset to order elements in descending order

    - by Gaurav Saini
Here is the piece of code that I have used for Java 5.0 TreeSet<Integer> treeSetObj = new TreeSet<Integer>( Collections.reverseOrder() ) ; Collections.reverseOrder() is used to obtain a comparator in order to reverse the way the elements are stored and iterated. Is there a more optimized way of doing it?

  • Stata - Multiple rotated plots on graph (including distributions on sides of axes)

    - by meerak
    I would like to produce a single graph containing both: (1) a scatter plot (2) either histograms or kernel density functions of the Y and X variables to the left of the Y axis and below the X axis. I found a graph that does this in MATLAB -- I would just like to produce something similar in Stata: That graph was produced using the following MATLAB code: n = 1000; rho = .7; Z = mvnrnd([0 0], [1 rho; rho 1], n); U = normcdf(Z); X = [gaminv(U(:,1),2,1) tinv(U(:,2),5)]; [n1,ctr1] = hist(X(:,1),20); [n2,ctr2] = hist(X(:,2),20); subplot(2,2,2); plot(X(:,1),X(:,2),'.'); axis([0 12 -8 8]); h1 = gca; title('1000 Simulated Dependent t and Gamma Values'); xlabel('X1 ~ Gamma(2,1)'); ylabel('X2 ~ t(5)'); subplot(2,2,4); bar(ctr1,-n1,1); axis([0 12 -max(n1)*1.1 0]); axis('off'); h2 = gca; subplot(2,2,1); barh(ctr2,-n2,1); axis([-max(n2)*1.1 0 -8 8]); axis('off'); h3 = gca; set(h1,'Position',[0.35 0.35 0.55 0.55]); set(h2,'Position',[.35 .1 .55 .15]); set(h3,'Position',[.1 .35 .15 .55]); colormap([.8 .8 1]); UPDATE: The Stata13 manual entry for "graph combine" has precisely this example (http://www.stata.com/manuals13/g-2graphcombine.pdf). Here is the code: use http://www.stata-press.com/data/r13/lifeexp, clear generate loggnp = log10(gnppc) label var loggnp "Log base 10 of GNP per capita" scatter lexp loggnp, ysca(alt) xsca(alt) xlabel(, grid gmax) fysize(25) saving(yx) twoway histogram lexp, fraction xsca(alt reverse) horiz fxsize(25) saving(hy) twoway histogram loggnp, fraction ysca(alt reverse) ylabel(,nogrid) xlabel(,grid gmax) saving(hx) graph combine hy.gph yx.gph hx.gph, hole(3) imargin(0 0 0 0) graphregion(margin(l=22 r=22)) title("Life expectancy at birth vs. GNP per capita") note("Source: 1998 data from The World Bank Group")

  • Encode complex number as RGB pixel

    - by Vi
    How is it better to encode a complex number into RGB pixel and vice versa? Probably (logarithm of) an absolute value goes to brightness and an argument goes to hue. Desaturated pixes should receive randomized argument in reverse transformation. Something like: 0 - (0,0,0) 1 - (255,0,0) -1 - (0,255,255) 0.5 - (128,0,0) i - (255,255,0) -i - (255,0,255) (0,0,0) - 0 (255,255,255) - e^(i * random) (128,128,128) - 0.5 * e^(i *random) (0,128,128) - -0.5 Are there ready-made formulas for that?

  • Is there a Markdown editor for Dojo

    - by Emilien
Is there a good Markdown editor for Dojo? I have seen Control.TextArea (based on Prototype) and Stack Overflow's reverse-engineered version of WMD (seems to rely on jQuery) but I'd rather use a Dojo-based tool, as my site already uses this framework. Does such a tool exist? Googling for dojo markdown editor doesn't seem to return any useful results, apart from a Google Summer of Code 2008 student blogging that he's working on it...

  • How to determine if a List is sorted in Java?

    - by FarmBoy
I would like a method that takes a List<T> where T implements Comparable and returns true or false depending on whether the list is sorted or not. What is the best way to implement this in Java? It's obvious that generics and wildcards are meant to be able to handle such things easily, but I'm getting all tangled up. It would also be nice to have an analogous method to check if the list is in reverse order.

  • Exclude a string from wildcard search in a shell

    - by steigers
Hello everybody I am trying to exclude a certain string from a file search. Suppose I have a list of files: file_Michael.txt, file_Thomas.txt, file_Anne.txt. I want to be able and write something like ls *<and not Thomas>.txt to give me file_Michael.txt and file_Anne.txt, but not file_Thomas.txt. The reverse is easy: ls *Thomas.txt Doing it with a single character is also easy: ls *[^s].txt But how to do it with a string? Sebastian

  • DRY URL's in Django Javascript

    - by Noio
I'm using Django on Appengine. I'm using the django reverse() function everywhere, keeping everything as DRY as possible. However, I'm having trouble applying this to my client-side javascript. There is a JS class that loads some data depending on a passed-in ID. Is there a standard way to not-hardcode the URL that this data should come from? var rq = new Request.HTML({ 'update':this.element, }).get('/template/'+template_id+'/preview'); //The part that bothers me.

  • Why did Matz choose to make Strings mutable by default in Ruby?

    - by Seth Tisue
It's the reverse of this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/93091/why-cant-strings-be-mutable-in-java-and-net Was this choice made in Ruby only because operations (appends and such) are efficient on mutable strings, or was there some other reason? (If it's only efficiency, that would seem peculiar, since the design of Ruby seems otherwise to not put a high premium on faciliating efficient implementation.)

  • How to get R to recognize your working directory as its working directory?

    - by Dan Goldstein
I use R under Windows on several machines. I know you can set the working directory from within an R script, like this setwd("C:/Documents and Settings/username/My Documents/x/y/z") ... but then this breaks the portability of the script. It's also annoying to have to reverse all the slashes (since Windows gives you backslashes) Is there a way to start R in a particular working directory so that you don't need to do this at the script level?

  • NTFS drivers on Linux

    - by Jack
Hopefully this is programming related. Many people have reported that the NTFS-3G driver works perfectly for writing to NTFS drives without any problems. If NTFS has been successfully reverse engineered to a useful degree, then why is the kernel driver still only read-only, with write support being very dangerous.....just as it was 5 years agi?

  • Can I user mono's AOT feature to natively "pre-compile" .NET DLLs/EXEs to make them harder to revers

    - by Jared Updike
Can I user mono's AOT (Ahead of Time compilation) feature to natively "pre-compile" all or part of some of my own .NET DLLs (and or EXEs) to make them harder to reverse engineer? I'm using Windows (7 / x64 but I have an x86 XP machine as well) and .NET 3.5 (VS 2008) and I'm curious if mono/AOT can be/has been used for this purpose? (Tying them to x86 is acceptable at this point.) See also this question where I tried this and had no luck.

  • Does a wrapper class for a COM interop IStream already exist?

    - by AnthonyWJones
I'm about to write a Wrapper for a COM interop IStream so that code that expects a standard .NET Stream can use it. However it occurs to me that this sort of thing may already have been done before (although I haven't been able to find it myself with web searching). So I'm just putting this out here in case I'm about to re-invent the wheel. Note I've come across code implementing IStream wrapping a .NET stream but I need the reverse.

  • Hibernate orm for a view

    - by EugeneP
How do you ORM a view? Is there any difference with a table in terms of reverse engineering? In my case, I have a whole pile of joined tables that will be read-only in an application. So, if I need sort of a 1 Object with all collections in proper order, instead of long chains of relationships - collection with another etc, it'll be simpler. What do you think and how do you accomplish this?
