  Hi all, In Qmessagebox how can I make the title text bold? Here is the sample code, which I am using to disply a messagebox int ret = QMessageBox::warning(this, tr("My Application"), tr("document has been modified.\n" "Do you want to save your changes?"), QMessageBox::Save | QMessageBox::Discard | QMessageBox::Cancel, QMessageBox::Save); I just want “tr("My Application")” to be bold, and rest to be in normal font. • Combining multiple UIImageViews and preserve resolution

  I am designing an application where a user places multiple UIImageViews one over another. When the user decides to save this to photo album, I have to combine all these UIImageViews and save it to Photo Library. While combining them I need to preserve their positions, resolutions, zorder. The approach I tried I was to have a parent UIView which acts like a container. The user places all the UIImageViews inside this UIView. While saving, I take a screenshot of the UIView and save it. Although this approach works, it does not preserve the resolution. The resolution of the final image is same as the resolution of the parent UIView size (width and height being 300 pixels). Is there way to preserve the resolution? or atleast have a higher resolution like upto 1024* 1024 pixels? Any pointers/code examples would be appreciated!

  I'm having trouble reading and writing QByteArray data to a file. My goal is to save QPixmap data into a QByteArray and save that QByteArray to a file (with the ability to read this QByteArray back from the file and into a QPixmap). I want to use following code from the QPixmap documentation: QPixmap pixmap(<image path>); QByteArray bytes; QBuffer buffer(&bytes); buffer.open(QIODevice::WriteOnly); pixmap.save(&buffer, "PNG"); // writes pixmap into bytes in PNG format After writing the buffer to a file, I want to be able to retrieve the QByteArray and load it back into a QPixmap using the QPixmap::loadFromData() function. Please let me know if any further clarification is needed (I'm open to alternative approaches as well, I just need to be able to read and write the QPixmap to a file! :) );

• CakePHP hasAndBelongsToMany (HABTM) Delete Joining Record

  I have a HABTM relationship between Users and Locations. Both Models have the appropriate $hasAndBelongsToMany variable set. When I managing User Locations, I want to delete the association between the User and Location, but not the Location. Clearly this Location could belong to other users. I would expect the following code to delete just the join table record provided the HABTM associations, but it deleted both records. $this->Weather->deleteAll(array('Weather.id' => $this->data['weather_ids'], false); However, I am new to CakePHP, so I am sure I am missing something. I have tried setting cascade to false and changing the Model order with User, User-Weather, Weather-User. No luck. Thanks in advance for any help.

• Imagecache, Views, file renaming, and output directories

  I have been trying to figure this one out for awhile and just seem to be getting myself deeper into a rabbit hole.. I think it would be best if I would just explain what I am trying to accomplish and go from there.. Essentially what I would like to happen is a user would upload a photograph from the filefield sources on a content type, and then using views, it would output that different image through different imagecache actions.. The problem seems to be that the actual directories it is making is really cluttered and I would like it to be a little bit more organized due to some file renaming. Here is how I would like the process to happen: Upload image.jpg Imagecache resize 100x100 square and save file to same directory and name the file image-100.jpg Imagecache desaturate 100x100 square and save file to same directory and name the file image-d-100.jpg Currently it seems that every imagecache action will save that file in its own directory..   am having issues with prerequisites while trying to publish my windows .net 3.5 application using clickonce. I am wanting my application to work offline as well as online, so I want to include the prerequisites in the installation and not make client download them via the internet. My prerequisites are: .Net Framework Client Profile SQL Compact 3.5 I have downloaded the .Net Framework Client Profile Offline Installer. Installed it and put the DotNetFx35Client.exe in this location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages\DotNetFx35Client Under the Project - Publish Tab I have checked the "Download prerequisites from the following location" and entered \MachineName\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages\DotNetFx35Client Following http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1046370?tab=oldest#tab-top I am however still the error: The install location for prerequisites has not been set to 'component vendo's website' file Dotnetfx35client\Dotnetfx35clientSteup.exe' in item .net framework client profile can not be located on disk.

• Override Django inlineformset_factory has_changed() to always return True

However if I don't change any of the data then the data is not updated. i.e. only entries which are changed go through the for loop to be saved. I guess this makes sense as there is no point saving data if it has not changed. However I need to go through and save every object in the form regardless of whether it has any changes on not. So my question is how do I override this so that it goes through and saves every record whether it has any changes or not? Hope this makes sense Thanks

  i have code that uses BeautifulSoup library for parsing. But it is very slow. The code is written in such a way that threads cannot be used. Can anyone help me about this?   I currently have an application that for a set of parameters (location, category, budget, ...) a user can enter a "pretty" URL like: /location/canada/ontario /category/primary /budget/small Resulting in the respective parameters: params[:country] == 'canada' and params[:region] == 'ontario' params[:category] == 'primary' params[:budget] == 'small' I want to allow users to perform searches on multiple parameters at once (with each parameter optional). For example: /location/canada/ontario/category/primary/budget/small I understand that this can be achieved using URL parameters, but for SEO reasons I prefer to add the "pretty" parameters. Is this at all possible without listing all possible combination of routes (I have a large number of search-able fields)? I understand that route "globbing" maybe play a roll, but I am not sure how. • Placeholder containing dynamic table is empty unless I create table twice

  I am dynamically creating a table that contains a textbox in each cell. The table is put in a placeholder control. Everything displays perfectly. The problem is when I go to retrieve the values entered in the cells. I have the code to generate the table in a separate method called CreateTable(). In order for my program to find a table in the placeholder when I go to save, I have to run CreateTable() in a postback event AND in the PageLoad event. If I call CreateTable() in only one of those places and I try to save, it says the placeholder is empty and, therefore, I cannot save the textbox contents. I've tried calling CreateTable() from InitLoad but that doesn't work because it needs to reference values from three static controls: 1 dropdown, 1 listbox, and 1 calendar control, which I don't believe have had their viewstate rendered yet. Anyone have any ideas? It would sure be nice not to have to double the number of database calls just to make this work.

I thought this might be really easy for someone familiar with these objects. If not I will figure it out eventually.

  I have this simple application with a couple of classes which are all related. There's one, the main one, for which there is only one instance of. I need to save save and load that using a text stream. My instructor requirement is BufferedReader to load the stream and PrintWriter to save it. But is this even possible? To persist a data object/class with a text stream? I know how to do it with and object, using serialization. But I don't see how am I supposed to do it using text streams. Suggestions?

  If I have a C++ set, declaration set personList; with iterator, set::const_iterator location; how can I print out the contents of the set? They are all person objects, and I have overridden the operator<< for Person. The line that errors is: cout << location and it's in a basic for loop. Netbeans gives the following error: proj.cpp:78: error: no match for ‘operator<<’ in ‘std::cout << location’ so it looks like it wants an override for the iterator's <<. Basically, I am taking objects that used to be stored in an array format, but are now in a set. What is the equivalent to cout << array[i] for sets?

• Elegant solution for multiple forms on single page

  I'm building a web application (in Django) that will accept a search criteria and display a report - once the user is satisfied with the results, save both the criteria and a reference to these objects back to the database. The problem I'm having is finding an elegant solution for having 2 forms: Display (GET) the results of their criteria. Enter in some descriptions, and save (POST) everything back to the database. I'm leaning towards AJAX for the GET stuff and a POST for the save, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't a more elegant solution first.

• Restoring a saved opengl ES buffer (i.e. writing it back to screen)

  I'm writing an iPhone app where I need to save and load the screen contents. I was able to save the screen using glReadPixels(), but since there's no glDrawPixels() in openGL ES, I'm having a lot of trouble restoring that buffer to the screen. I gather that I need to save the screen as a texture: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/708760/what-is-the-equivalent-of-gldrawpixels-in-opengl-es-1-1 But I'm not sure how to implement this. Does anyone have or know of any code samples that do this? I'm an openGL noob, so any help would be greatly appreciated :)

• Saving core data in a thread, how to ensure its done writing before quitting?

  So I'm saving small images to core data which take a really short amount of time to save, like .2 seconds but I'm doing it while the user is flipping through a scroll view so in order to improve responsiveness I'm moving the saving to a thread. This works great, everything gets saved and the app is responsive. However, there is one thing in the core-data + multithreading doco that worries me: "In Cocoa, only the main thread is not-detached. If you need to save on other threads, you must write additional code such that the main thread prevents the application from quitting until all the save operation is complete." Ok, how do you do that? It only needs to last ~ .2 seconds and its rarely going to happen since the chance of the app quitting as something is saving is very low. How do I run something on the main thread that'll prevent the app from quitting AND not block the gui? Thanks
