  • Building XCode From Command Line Issues (Updating Entitlements file location)

    The first error is a warning for complier 'com.apple.compilers.gcc.4_0' I don't know if this is okay and I can just not worry about it. The second tells me that my entitlements file is no longer at that location. I know this and I thought I had correctly updated it in Xcode's info window. This project builds fine in Xcode.   • Memeory Leak in Windows Page file when calling a shell command

    I have an issue on our Windows 2003 x64 Build Server when invoking shell commands from a script. Each call causes a "memory leak" in the page file so it grows quite rapidly until it reaches the maximum and the machine stops working. I can reproduce the problem very nicely by running a perl script like for ($count=1; $count<5000; $count++) { system "echo huhu"; } It is independent of he scripting language as the same happens with lua: for i=1,5000 do os.execute("echo huhu") end I found somebody describing the same issue with php at http://www.issociate.de/board/post/454835/Memory_leak_occurs_when_exec%28%29_function_is_used_on_Windows_platform.html His solution: Firewall/Virus Scanner does not apply, neither are running on the machine. We can also reproduce the issue on other Developer Machines running XP 64, but not on XP 32 Bit. I also found an article describing a leak situation in page file at http://www.programfragment.com/ The guilty guy for the allocation is C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs which runs all the basic Windows services. Does anybody know the issue and how to resolve it ?

  • Passing a formula field value into a Crystal Reports command

    Hello eveybody! I have a report, in which I calculate starting date via Formula Fields. Then I need to pass calculated value into a subreport, where I can use it as one of the parameters for the stored procedure in my database. The problem is that for some reason value of the corresponding parameter when the database is queried is empty (or null, I am not sure exactly). What can be wrong in my report template? The formula I use is: ToText( ShiftDateTime ({@StartDate}, {?TimeZone}, "UTC,0")) Name of this formula field is StartDate I pass it into subreport as a Pm-?@StartDateUTC (also tried Pm-@StartDateUTC). I am sure, that @StartDate has correct value (tested in preview with this field in report), also Pm-?@StartDateUTC does has a value, but when CR is accessing DB - the result is empty field value...

The scripts accepts YES/Y/yes/y or "enter" (defaults to Yes as hinted by the capital) The only thing I find in the official doc is input/raw_input..     If anybody can help me to write a loop to iterate over files in a folder it would save me a huge amount of time. I think it must be quite a simple solution ,but I currently don't know how to nest a loop within a loop. Currently I change the name of the textfile manually each time and re-run the script. So I'd need a loop that does this for file in folder, and also that uses the name of the file as part of the outputfile name so that I can match an output file to an inputfile.     Hy, I got an intersting problem which I stumbled upon. When I double click a label in a JLabel I want to add another button in a JPanel, its a shorter way to make a dragg and drop. The problem is that the button doesn't appears only if i'll position the mouse on the area the button should appear. Why does it happens this way? Anyone got a clue?     This seems like it might be a reasonably common question, so I'm going to ask it using as many keywords as I can think of! I have a bunch of (well, nine) tile jpegs, with standard tile filenames. Each jpeg is 220x175 pixels: (top row) tile_1_0_0.jpg tile_1_1_0.jpg tile_1_2_0.jpg (middle row) tile_1_0_1.jpg tile_1_1_1.jpg tile_1_2_1.jpg (bottom row) tile_1_0_2.jpg tile_1_1_2.jpg tile_1_2_2.jpg How can I use imagemagick/montage to 'glue' or join them all together to make a single, coherent image? I don't want to resize them at all, so I guess the final image should be 660x525. That would be montage with no framing, shadowing, bordering, etc - just the nine original images, glued together to make a single jpeg. I know it should be something along these lines, but I'm struggling with getting the order and sizing right: montage +frame +shadow +label -tile 3x3 -geometry <options> *.jpg joined.jpg

  • Deploying a Web Application from the command line

    Hi. Im looking to deploy a web application on a build server. It is a very small web app and so far i have written a nice little console app that checks out from SVN and then calls msbuild on the .sln file. This of course is not the same as publishing a web app and so far have not found a programatic way of publishing. So my question is this.. After msbuild has run can i simply delete all .cs and .vb files and then deploy? or Should i really try and find a way to publish programatically?

    I am writing a small script for watchr that runs my PHP unit tests. Current script runs tests using system() and displays them colored. I am trying to add libnotify functionality, but for that I need to parse the output and match against regexp, so that notification will either display green or red. system() doesn't return output, %x does return, but puts p doesn't display colors, which I need to quickly see which test failed. One option would be to run tests twice - once for display in terminal window, and second time for checking which notification to show, but I would rather avoid it.
