Now my query is that irrespective of ValidateValue() returning true/false __doPostBack('ApplyBtn','') function is not showing any effect for me. My understanding is that string passed to onclick acts like function body, and return will from first function will return control preventing second function from execution. Is that correct ? Please provide helpful inputs.

    I'm using a google events tracker like this: _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-1422398-23']); _gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'BookingRequest', 'Parent Name', $('#parent_fname').val()+' '.$('#parent_lname').val()]); In this case, let's say I can track how many requests were submitted.. is there a way to track these specific users, and see the traffic source, and if it's Google, then what keywords they searched my website by? Basically I want to see the people booking online, and see how and where they got me... and hoping there's a better and more elegant way than to have a field that asks "What did you type into Google to find us?"

    Background story: when a user selects a portion of text in a text field with her mouse (mark it up manually), and subsequently hits "alt" key, a certain function would trigger. My questions are: How can I trigger a function when a user hits a key (in her keyboard)? How can I preserve a portion of text selected, and use it as a parameter for that function?     Hi All, I'm creating a web server control that has an image button on it. The html for the control is done in the RenderControls of the code, the control devrives from WebControl, IScriptControl, INamingContainer. The button is coded as follow in the RenderControls: System.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageButton img = new System.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageButton(); img.ImageUrl = "Url of the image"; img.Click += new ImageClickEventHandler(img_Click); img.ID = this.ClientID + "_img"; img.CausesValidation = false; imgLock.RenderControl(output); The button apreas in the browser but when i click on it, the page postsback but the event handler for the button doesn't get fired, from what i can figure out, since the control goes throught RenderControls eachtime the page is posted back, the button gets redrawn and the event handling disapears. This server control is in a master page. Anyone can help me on this? Thanks

    Hello, I have a JList that shows multiple JPanels on them , i have created a custom renderer that returns a new JPanel. The JPanels are displayed in the JList but they are not accessible, i cant select them and if i have a button or a text area in it i can not press it. I want to try if this works in a JList because i want to do further pagination. I managed to get it work by adding panels to a Jscroll pane, but would love to make the JList thing work. Thanks

  • iptables 1.4 and passive FTP on custom port

    after the upgrade from debian squeeze to wheezy I've got a problem with passive FTP connection. I could narrow it to be iptables related, as I could connect via FTP w/o problems after adding my IP to the iptables ACCEPT rule. Before the upgrade I was able just to do modprobe nf_conntract_ftp ports=21332 and adding iptables -A THRU -p tcp --dport 21332 -m state --state NEW,ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT now..it doesn't help anymore. The INPUT rule is being triggered as I can see in the counter, but the directory listing is the last thing it does. Setting up a passive-port range is the last thing I want to do, I dislike open ports. I also tried the trick with helper mod by adding following rule before the actual rule for 21332 iptables -A THRU -p tcp -i eth0 --dport 21332 -m state --state NEW -m helper --helper ftp-21332 -j ACCEPT but it doesn't help and is even not being triggered according to counter.     Sorry my title is not great, this is my first real punt at moving 100% to OO as I've been procedural for more years than I can remember. I'm finding it hard to understand if what I'm trying to do is possible. Depending on people's thoughts on the 2 following points, I'll go down that route. The CMS I'm putting together is quote small, however focuses very much on different types of content. I could easily use Drupal which I'm very comfortable with, but I want to give myself a really good reasons to move myself into design patterns / OO-PHP 1) I have created a base 'content' class which I wish to be able to extend to handle different types of content. The base class, for example, handles HTML content, and extensions might handle XML or PDF output instead. On the other hand, at some point I may wish to extend the base class for a given project completely. I.e. if class 'content-v2' extended class 'content' for that site, any calls to that class should actually call 'content-v2' instead. Is that possible? If the code instantiates an object of type 'content' - I actually want it to instantiate one of type 'content-v2'... I can see how to do it using inheritance, but that appears to involve referring to the class explicitly, I can't see how to link the class I want it to use instead dynamically. 2) Secondly, the way I'm building this at the moment is horrible, I'm not happy with it. It feels very linear indeed - i.e. get session details get content build navigation theme page publish. To do this all the objects are called 1-by-1 which is all very static. I'd like it to be more dynamic so that I can add to it at a later date (very closely related to first question). Is there a way that instead of my orchestrator class calling all the other classes 1-by-1, then building the whole thing up at the end, that instead each of the other classes can 'listen' for specific events, then at the applicable point jump in and do their but? That way the orchestrator class would not need to know what other classes were required, and call them 1-by-1. Sorry if I've got this all twisted in my head. I'm trying to build this so it's really flexible.
