• Restore previously serialized JFrame-object, how?

  Hi all. I have managed to serialize my very basic GUI-object containing a JTextArea and a few buttons to a file 'test.ser'. Now, I would like to completely restore the previously saved state from 'test.ser', but seem to have a misconception of how to properly deserialize an objects state. • How to listen for AffectsParentArrange events when you're not the parent

  There is an attribute "AffectsParentArrange" that implicitly invalidates the parent's layout - but I want to attach an event handler to the "event" triggered by that attribute. When a child property with the attribute changes, the parent's arrangement is invalidated. I have a custom control (which is not the immediate parent) that needs to receive an event. Does anyone know of an event that can be used here? Do I need to provide a custom parent that overrides a method and fires an event?

  Hi all, I'm trying to show a marker on checkbox columns in a JTable to indicate that the value is dirty. I'm having trouble coming up with a way to render the marker. I've tried setting an icon on the JCheckbox but this just renders the icon instead of the checkbox. I've tried using a Panel but it messes up the layout.   I have 2 asp:ListView controls, one embedded in the other (OuterListView and InnerListView respectively). I am trying to add an asp:linkbutton in the InnerListView layout that will allow the user to add an item to the InnerListView. Unfortunately, when I handle the OnClick event in the linkbutton control, I can't figure out how to get a handle on the asp:linkbutton's parent ListView from within the codebehind handler. Obviously, there is no global handle since there are multiple inner listviews. I can link code if necessary.

• Android Extend BaseExpandableListAdapter

  I am trying to extend the BaseExpandableListAdapter, however when once I view the list and I select one of the elements to expand, the order of the list gets reversed. For example, if I have a list with 4 elements and select the 1st element, the order (from top to bottom) is now 4, 3, 2, 1 with the 4th element (now at the top) expanded. If I unexpand the 4th element the order reverts to 1, 2, 3, 4 with no expanded elements. • slowness in IE 8 IE9 while drawing tables in a html page

  My HTML page contains many tables,with numerous tr and td. While rendering in IE8/IE9 the its very slow but in Firefox its fast. I had read somewhere while drawing tables if the tables are not of fixed width, IE calculates the width every time and renders so usually slow. Right now i am adding Table style="table-layout:fixed" which made me feel its faster. Are there any similar styles that can be added to tr and td as well.Also suggest if there any other attribtes that can be added to a table

• Java ME right to left TextField label

  Hello, I'm writing a Java ME app and i need the label for the text field to be right aligned.. I've tried setting the layout of the TextField to Item.RIGHT but it doesn't seem to affect anything when running on my test phone (Nokia E71). The text inside the TextField is right aligned and Lists and such items are desplayed correctly (RTL aligned) but the TextField label isn't. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have added all these three fragments in LinearLayout using .xml file and when my launcher activity starts I load that .xml layout using setContentView.I have some controls on fragment2. Clicking on any one loads the fragment4 programmatically using FragmentTransaction and commit method. This fragments is added to the screen but the problem is it take the whole screen area. What can be the problem?

• Problem with IE 6 page loading.

  I have a website which works fine in all browsers except in IE6. The pages content is inside a div loaded with a background image. The page layout gets very nasty and image does not load when the page is opened for first time, but when the same page is opened for the second time and any subsequent times, then it loads perfectly. This scenario is with every page in the site. Please help.

I have tried JasperReports but it is pretty hard to get a dynamic layout and it is designing for reports. A requirement that I have is that the document should be sent directly to the printer and must not be saved to a file. So some tools that first creates an Office Document or a PDF document isn't a solution for me. Any recommendations?

Is there a way to have a single installation of the code and run all 50 at the same time? When I have a bug to fix (or deploy new feature), I want to deploy ONE time + 1 restart and be done with it. Also: Code needs to know what domain the request is coming to so the appropriate data is displayed.

  I'm trying to build a basic POP3 mail client in C/++, but I've run into a bit of an issue. Since you have to define the buffer size when building the program, but a message can be arbitrarily large, how do you, say, get the mail server to send it to you in parts? And if this isn't the correct means of solving the problem, what is? And while I'm here, can anyone confirm for me that RFC 2822 is still the current document defining email layout? Thanks

  I have an application in which I'd like one row at a time to have a certain color. This seems to work about 95% of the time, but sometimes instead of having just one row with this color, it will allow multiple rows to have the color. Specifically, a row is set to have the "special" color when it is tapped. Can anyone imagine a reason why this code might intermittently fail? If there is a pattern or condition that causes it, I can't tell.
