  • Mantis Bug tracker API integration?

    Hi everybody, I have just installed the Mantis bug tracker to use together with Eclipse IDE and have started too found out the advantages of it. Really great. Since Eclipse communicates with Mantis through an PHP soap API, I wonder if there's some documentation available on how I can myself make calls to the API to add new bugs and get statuses of existing ones.   • Soft delete an entity in Grails with Hibernate Filters Plugin

    I was looking for a way to avoid deleting my users from DB, but instead to mark them as deleted and don't bring them back in queries. I found this plugin http://grails.org/plugin/hibernate-filter, which was a great tool for the task. But when I tried to implement my solution, I passed trought same problems whose solutions wheren't (or I was not able to find) on internet.   • Setting style of ContextMenu on subitems

    I have created a custom style and template for MenuItem and ContextMenu, and for my first level, that works great, but whenever I add a SubMenu item, the style of that ContextMenu reverts back to the default style. How can I make sure that item uses my custom style? I've tried using the <;Style TargetType="ContextMenu" Key="{x:Type ContextMenu}" syntax as well, and it doesn't seem to be overriding it either.

    ReSharper Code cleanup feature (with "reorder members" and "reformat code" enabled) is really great. You define a layout template using XML, then a simple key combination reorganizes your whole source file (or folder/project/solution) according to the rules you set in the template. Anyway, do you think that could be a problem regarding VCS like subversion, cvs, git, etc. ? Is there a chance that it causes many undesired conflicts ? Thank you.

  • Getting 256 colors out of ruby-ncurses

    I've got 256 colors working great in my terminal (test scripts here), but it stops working when I use ncurses (via Ruby-ncurses). Printing the escape sequences given on that page works fine, but when I initialize ncurses 'puts' stops working and I can't output the colors with any of the various ncurses color changing/string output functions I've found. What gives?

  • Safari extensions: style of selectbox like safari's bookmark folders

    Hey guys, I'm developing an extension for Safari 5 at the moment. In my extension, I use an additional toolbar, with selectboxes in it. Now, it would be great to style these like the folders in the bookmarks toolbar look. I know that it would be possible to replace my select with a completely styleable ul-list or somethin like that, but maybe there is a simpler solution.     browser.BrowseObject(PIDLFromPath, NativeMethods.SBSP_ABSOLUTE); It works great in explorer, and for the common dialog. However, when running Office XP, it goes nuts. The view on the screen is refreshed, and shows the contents of the new folder correctly. However, the Combo Box up the top of the dialog still references the original IShellFolder object where the Context menu was initiated. How should I change this IShellFiolder object in the Combo Box?

    Hi, I am looking for a way to get a twitter users userid via their username. For example take http://twitter.com/AlySSa_miLAno (yes I know her twitter page off by heart lol) on the right hand side of the page is a link to her RSS feed: feed://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/26642006.rss In this context Alyssa's userid would be 26642006. Ideally I would like to avoid reading the full content of the page, as this could be quite expensive on a mobile device, so if anyone knows how to accomplish this using any Twitter/3rd party webservices that would be great.

  • Problem with GetDefaultPrinter() over a VPN c++

    I am writing an application that gets its dimensions from the paper ratio of the default printer of the local computer. This all works well unless the default printer is over a VPN. When this is the case, calling GetDefaultPrinter() takes too long. I need to find a way to put a time constraint on GetDefaultPrinter() and if it exceeds that constraint, break out of the function.     Hi, Is it possible to create a new thread in asp.net to do some processing, and then upon completion, set a flag so that when the user requests the next page, I can insert some extra text or code to perform some notification?   • Any suggestions for testing extjs code in a browser, preferably with selenium?

    We've been using selenium with great success to handle high-level website testing (in addition to extensive python doctests at a module level). However now we're using extjs for a lot of pages and its proving difficult to incorporate Selenium tests for the complex components like grids. Has anyone had success writing automated tests for extjs-based web pages? Lots of googling finds people with similar problems, but few answers. Thanks!

    I am using CPLEX for solving huge optimization models (more than 100k variables) now I'd like to see if I can find an open source alternative, I solve mixed integer problems (MILP) and CPLEX works great but it is very expensive if we want to scale so I really need to find an alternative or start writing our own ad-hoc optimization library (which will be painful) Any suggestion/insight would be much appreciated

    I'm having difficultly adding querystring parameters to link_to UrlHelper. I have an Index view, for example, that has UI elements for sorting, filtering, and pagination (via will_paginate). The will_paginate plugin manages the intra-page persistence of querystring parameters correctly. Is there an automatic mechanism to add the querystring parameters to a give named route, or do I need to do so manually? A great deal of research on this seemingly simple construct has left me clueless.
