  • Open source VideoPlayer / AudioPlayer / MediaPlayer GUI / UI resource available?

    Hi, I'm looking for a user interface for a MediaPlayer which should be able to play video as well as audio files. Furthermore it needs the following things (nothing fancy): TextView for playing time Progress Bar for progress visulization Play/Pause/Stop buttons NO playlist functionality required, the player will only play a single item (that's why I don't need next/previous buttons). It sounds pretty much like the standard audio-player of Android = 2.0. Sure, I could try to find its source code but that would require to tediously check out the entire source. I'm just asking for a more efficient way. Thanks in advance, steff

  • Is it possible to force ignore the :hover pseudoclass for iPhone/iPad users?

    I have some css menus on my site that expand with :hover (without js) This works in a semi-broken way on iDevices, for example a tap will activate the :hover rule and expand the menu, but then tapping elsewhere doesn't remove the :hover. Also if there is a link inside the element that is :hover'ed, you have to tap twice to activate the link (first tap triggers :hover, second tap triggers link). I've been able to make things work nicely on iphone by binding the touchstart event. The problem is that sometimes mobile safari still chooses to trigger the :hover rule from the css instead of my touchstart events! I know this is the problem because when I disable all the :hover rules manually in the css, mobile safari works great (but regular browsers obviously don't anymore). Is there a way to dynamically "cancel" :hover rules for certain elements when the user is on mobile safari? I'm using jQuery.

The screens waits this.duration + 1000 milliseconds and displays all the labels at once. I tried with a runnable and calling .invokeLater or .invokeAndWait but I still get the same behavior, and even if I get dirty like above using synchronized it still doesn't work. Does anyone know how I can display each label at a time? Thank you!

    I have to add a listbox/dropdownlist to a report in a Visual Studio Business Intelligence project, allowing users to filter a DataSet by the Id of the entity chosen in the listbox. I heard this was possible, but there is no option to add a listbox in the Toolbox in Visual Studio, and looking at the Report Definition on microsoft.com, there's nothing there about a listbox. What am I doing wrong here?

  • Will a mulitouch touch screen equipped PC allow me to simulate real Android UI's without an Android device ?

    Hi, I have recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab as an Android 2.x testbed (I am aware that 2.3 might not run on it, but it appears to be a good 1.x - 2.x device with a large enough screen to approximate the variety of screens on different phones). I would wait for Honeycomb equipped devices (such as the Motorola XOOM mentioned at CES 2011), but these are slated for some time in Q1 (likely end of Q1 for the Canadian market). If I get a multitouch capable PC and install the Android SDK and simulator, will I be able to use the multitouch functionality of the PC with the simulator to approximate a real device ? Does anyone use a multitouch touch screen PC for Android development ? I assume that this would work as the PC would recognize my fingers like the mouse, but I'd like to find out before purchasing the PC. Thanks for your help, Scott

    I am writing a web-app that uses a tagging system to organize the user's submitted reports. Part of it uses ajax to get suggestions for tags to present to the user based on the content of their report. I am looking for suggestions on how to present this information for the user. I'm not quite certain what a friendly way to do this would be. Edit: Well, most of the responses here seem to be focused on the user typing in keywords. The idea I'm trying to define here is more towards presenting the user a set of suggested keywords that they may accept or decline without having to type a tag in manually.     Hi, I'm trying to dynamically create buttons at runtime with PyQT4.7 However, this being my first python program I'm not sure how to get the functionality I want. I would like to be able to substitute a text string for an attribute name: i.e. for each in xrange(4): myname = "tab1_button%s" % each #tab1_button0, tab1_button1, tab1_button2 #self.ui.tab1_button0 = QtGui.QPushButton(self.ui.tab) <--normal code to create a named button setattr(self.ui,myname,QtGui.QPushButton(self.ui.tab)) #rewrite of line above to dynamicly generate a button #here's where I get stuck. this code isn't valid, but it shows what i want to do self.ui.gridLayout.addWidget(self.ui.%s) % myname #I need to have %s be tab1_button1, tab1_button2, etc. I know the % is for string substituion but how can I substitute the dynamically generated attribute name into that statement? I assume there's a basica language construct I'm missing that allows this. Since it's my first program, please take it easy on me ;)

  • What is the equivalent to IScriptControl for Web.UI.Page?

    We've been using IScriptControl to tie javascript objects to our UserControls and ServerControls, and it's worked fine. The problem is that ASP.NET seems to provide no method to tie a javascript object to a Page. Up to now, we've been putting plain functions in the global namespace, but I am developing a serious allergy to that practice. It'd be easy enough to wrap our functions into a javascript class, and to include the javascript file on the page, but how to instantiate the object, how to reference it from callback events, and how to pass data to it from the code-behind, I haven't figured out. Or rather, the methods we've been using up to now (hidden fields, emitted javascript strings, etc.), really bug me. Anyone have better ideas?

Is that even possible? I mean there are some apps where you click a button, not a table cell and it loads a new view. How exactly is that done?   • What is a good Very-High level UI framework for JavaScript?

    I need to write a temporary Web-based graphical front-end for a custom server system. In this case performance and scalability aren't issues, since at most 10 people may check the system simultaneously. Also it should be PHP or Python (server) & JavaScript (client) (can't use Flex or Silverlight for very specific non-programming related issues). So I know I could use YUI or jQuery, but was wondering if there is something even more high-level that would say allow me to write such a little project within a few hours of work, and get done with it. Basically I want to be as lazy as possible (this is throw-away code anyways) and get the job done in as little time as possible. Any suggestions?

  • After I apply custom logic, next UI action crashes my app.

    I've got an team (eveningRoster) that I'm making a button add employees to. The team is really a relationship to that night's event, but it's represented with an AC. I wanted to make sure an employee did not belong to the team before it adds, so I added a method to MyDocument to check first. It seems to work, the error logs complete, but after I've added a member, the next time I click anything, the program crashes. Any guesses why?   • jQuery click event still firing on filtered element

    I'm trying to filter button events based on whether they have a CSS class assigned to them or not. Assume I have a button like this: <button id="save-button" class="ui-state-default ui-corner-all">Save</button> I want to get jQuery to select all buttons that currently do not have a class of "ui-state-disabled". The selector I'm using looks like this: $('#save-button:not(.ui-state-disabled)').click(function() { ... }); When the button is clicked, I'll call a different function, do some stuff and then add the class 'ui-state-disabled' to the button. However the button still continues to accept click events. I'm guessing this is because of two possible causes: The event binder looks only at the initial state when binding the click event and doesn't recognise that a new class has been added later on My filter ['... :not(.ui-state-disabled)] is not correct Any observations?
