• How do I make my hosting detect _escaped_fragment_ and fetch the corresponding HTML? [on hold]

  I have an AJAX site and I'm using shebangs (#!) in my urls with the intention of then providing the correct HTML versions when google bots replace the #! with _escaped_fragment_. How do I go about routing/proxying/redirecting the url with _escaped_fragment_ to the corresponding html pages? I can't find documentation on this part of the process specifically, and my first thought was that I should be using a 301 or 302 redirect, but I was told that wasn't the case, albeit not given any more info.

• Same sitemap submitted for .com and .co.uk domain

  Not to sure why I did this. But I submitted the same sitemap for our .co.uk and .com domain. Looking to put the .com domain on different hosting and create a new site for international customers using .com domain. Should I remove all urls in google webmasters for the .com domain, guessing this won't have a negative effect on .co.uk stuff and add robot.txt to make sure the .com domain is not crawled? Thanks

  I use this redirect rule to redirect users from www.domain.com/admin to www.domain.com/wp-admin on a Wordpress site. RedirectMatch 301 \@admin http://www.domain.com/wp-admin The problem is that instead redirecting to wp-admin/, it redirects to an article called Administrators are awesome people (slug : administrators-are-awesome-people) I can guess what is going on, WP sees that there is an article slug starting with "admin", and redirects to it, overruling my own rule. Is there a way to be more specific, like saying "redirect urls that end with exactly admin ?

  Hello, My landing page contains a big google maps portion, which slows down the loading time. I am trying to do the following: Load the static elements first so the page loads fast initially. Display a loading notification in the map placeholder so that the user knows that the map is coming up Load and display the map I have done this: $(document).ready(function() { map_initialize(); } map_initialize() being the function which loads the map into its container div. However, this still will not display the static elements fist. The page will wait until the map_initialize() is finished, then load the static elements at the same time as the map. Thanks,

Since I use a single database connection for the whole application from singleton Database class, if i try concurrent db operations (two users) the database rollsback the transactions.   Are there any reasons I shouldn't use an asterix (*) in a URL? Background: With asterixes, I could provide these nice and user friendly (or what do you think??) • Ruby class variable is reset after rails app initialized

  I tried to assign a class static variable like this class QueryLogger < Logger @@query_logger_default_instance = nil def self.default_instance # Use global variable because static variable doesn't work @@query_logger_default_instance ||= self.new(STDOUT) end end In initializers folder of my rails app, I added a file with this code block ActiveRecord::Base.logger = QueryLogger.default_instance In a request (action of controller), I make a call to this: QueryLogger.default_instance. My assumption is that the call to default_instance will always report the same. However, it does not. Now I try to watch stuff in NetBeans by setting breakpoint inside default_instance. Thing happen as expected, the default_instance get called twice, one due to the initializer block and one due to the call to my action. Surprising thing is, in both times, @@query_logger_default_instance report nil inside NetBeans inspector. The first nil report is correct, but the second shocked me. It's look like static variable gets reset after rails app initialized. Is there some magic there?

• Can a site recover by itself after dropping google page rank for 404 errors?

  Recently redid a website and changed the directory / URL structure. I did some .htaccess redirects for the main landing pages - however when reviewing web master tools received 404 errors for the rest of the changed URLs and noticed that Google dropped my site from the #1 position to around the 5th page. I corrected all the 404s by providing redirects in the .htaccess, resubmitted the site map and tested the google crawl bot. Will my page regain its rank by itself - or am I going to have to put some time into like I originally did?

  i want to show a PD when my activity A starts another activity B. But in that onclick method, my A activity haves to do some work before start B, and B also haves to do some work because it haves to load a lot of data for the UI. Mirror 1 has a monthly bandwidth cap so upon reaching it I want to automatically toggle to mirror 2. Our prof made us create a static library which i built using debug version. then i made a release version of that static library using /mt as my c runtime now in my test application (release version) I use the same runtime option and add that static library and also ignore the libcmd.lib in the ignore settings for the linker. i resolved most of the problem this is the last part lnk4075 /edit and continue due to /opt:icf specification compositelib.lib (my staticlib) lnk2001 unresolved external symbol _winmain@16. libcmtd.lib these are the last two that i can't seem to figure out.

However, readLogLevelFromFile returns LogLevel, not LogLevel?, so there is no way the return statement could be reached when _logLevel is null. Is this just an oversight by ReSharper, or am I missing something?

• persistent header of text (CSS) in a div

  I have a div called "appHeader"... and the content of it is subject to change dynamically. I'd like some static text at the top of that div that is highlighted ... and have this done in css. The text is going to say something like "Property of such and such... etc" but it is static. Can you create static content within CSS? Is this possible? TIA, Kirby p.s.
