  Hi Guys, I am getting the data form Parser, In that I am getting a set of urls. Using these urls can I make image url by appending any data values getting from the parser. http://musicbrainz.org/ws/1/artist/f27ec8db-af05-4f36-916e-3d57f91ecf5e?type=xml&inc=url-rels+artist-rels using these url i get data and set of urls.They are not providing image url or thumbnail. So, Is it possible to get or form an image url from parser (http://musicbrainz.org/ws/1/artist/f27ec8db-af05-4f36-916e-3d57f91ecf5e?type=xml&inc=url-rels+artist-rels) and display in the web view.   I've followed the code in Apple's AdvancedTableViewCells and built a table view with a background image for cells. Now I want to change it so that instead of the blue highlight colour, it shows a darker version of my image. What are the steps I need to follow to do this? I'm using a UITableViewCell subclass with a custom NIB. My background image is implemented as the cell.backgroundView. The steps I've take so far are: Change the selectionStyle of the cell to "None" Set the Highlight colour on my UILabel subviews to a light colour Create a darker version of my background as a separate image Override setSelected: animated: I'm wondering about the next steps.

  My Couchdb database as a main document type that looks something like: { "_id" : "doc1", "type" : "main_doc", "title" : "the first doc" ... } There is another type of document that stores user information. I want users to be able to tag documents as favorites. Different users can save the same or different documents as favorites. My idea was to introduce a favorite document to track this something like: { "_id" : "fav1", "type" : "favorite", "user_id" : "user1", "doc_id" : "doc1" } It's easy enough to create a view with user_id as the key to get a list of their favorite doc IDs. E.g: function(doc) { if (doc.type == "favorite") { emit(doc.user_id, doc.doc_id); } } However I want to list of favorites to display the user_id, doc_id and title from the document. So output something like: { "key" : "user1", "value" : ["doc1", "the first doc"] }

• iphone: custom UITableViewCell taller than the default cell view.

  Hello, I'm creating an application that consists of a ListView with 5 rows: - 1st one containing a graph - 2nd to 5th rows containing some data with the same formatting. I have created 2 classes: GraphCustomViewCell and DataCustomViewCell. Depending upon the position of the cell I load the correct CustomCell with: NSArray *topLevelObjects = [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"GraphCustomViewCell" owner:nil options:nil]; for(id currentObject in topLevelObjects) { if([currentObject isKindOfClass:[GraphCustomViewCell class]]) { cell = (GraphCustomViewCell *)currentObject; break; } } That works fine except that the first row, the one corresponding to the graph, is bigger (in height) that the 4 other rows, and as a results it hides the 3 first other rows. Is there any option in the table view that enables the custom cell to expand the default cells ? I'd like that the 5 rows (graph + 4 data rows) to fit the entire screen (480 - tabbar's height).   Hello, I'm trying to bend views and drupal to my will. So far I've produced a view to display the titles of my nodes. Each node will be assigned exactly one taxonomy term from the set {X, Y and Z}. So for example, Node A has a title "Car drives into field, thousands don't care". Node A has a taxonomy term "Pointless". I'd like to group all the node titles by their taxonomy term. So.. Pointless - Car drives into field, thousands don't care - .... Next Taxonomy Term - ..... - ...... - ... You get the idea. Is it doable and how do I do it?   I want to include certain .js and .css files only on pages that need them. For example, my EditorTemplate DateTime.ascx needs files anytimec.js and anytimec.css. That template is applied whenever I use either the EditorFor or EditorForModel helper methods in a view for a model with a DateTime type value. I've put this condition into the <head> section of my master page. • The best way to display data in a table view?

  Hey guys, I'm trying to display nutritional information in a table view but am struggling about the best way to show the info. I don't want to create unique views for each page as that would take up a lot of space. My ideal avenue would be like a website having links to data pages instead of individual views for each page. How would I best implement that? For example, I would want the first page to be a list of restaurants, then as you press the restaurant it would list the different types of food...the next page would be a list of those foods and then the final page would be the nutrition info itself. • Same Title Bar but different View below it in Android?

  Hi, In one of my Android Application I need to keep the title bar same but the view that is shown in the rest of the screen changes. So, I have taken different Activity for all the views that I need to show and set the title bar in every Activities onCreate method. Now, the problem is that I have a button in the title bar and need to perform certain action on its click event. Writing the same event handling code in every Activity class is very cumbersome. Is there any other way out that whenever there is a click event on that button of the title bar then we can have the same functionality without writing the same code in all the Activity classes. Can we use ViewGroup for that? I don't have much idea about ViewGroup. Is that possible with ViewGroup? If anyone knows the solution then please let me know. Thanks & Regards Sunil

  My rails app gets the following JSON feed from mixcloud and sticks the results into my index page At the moment when I do this, the entire contents of my feed are displayed unformatted in one big blob of scary looking text (without the curly JSON brackets) I only want to display specific values from the feed in the view. From the feed in question lets say for simplicity that I just wanted to display all values with a key of "url" In case I'm doing something wrong here's my code: # podcast controller def index # I'm using a class method to get the feed @feed = Podcast.feed end # podcast model def self.feed feed = JSON.parse(open("http://api.mixcloud.com/alivefrommaryhill/feed").read) end # index.html.haml .feed = @feed I can't figure out how to style the results and display only certain items from the feed. • Rails and jQuery - how do you get server-side validation errors to your view after an ajax request

  Ive searched this site but questions are usually regarding doing client-side validations or for different frameworks. I have a tasks list whose items can be edited inline. Upon submitting the inline edit form the item is updated all thanks to jQuery, ajax and rails. But I want to handle bad input from the user. HTML requests redisplay the view and errors are displayed thanks to rails helpers. But how do I insert that information after an ajax call? • Is it ok to hardcode dynamic links in a permanent view?

  Let's say I wanted to showcase 2-3 clickable buttons on my homepage which will be there permanently. These are links to the css, html, and javascript tag listing pages. Is it fine to just hardcode href=/tags/css and href=/tags/html right in my django templates/view? I won't change them for at least a year or so, meaning I don't think I need to add a column to the tags table to distinguish them - is this common or should I try to make it somewhat dynamic? These tags are in a table but so are 1000 other tags.

• Rails: How to toggle a boolean field from a view?

  Very simple question. I have a boolean field called "saved" in my database. I want to toggle this field by clicking on a text link that changes from "Save" to "Unsave" depending on the situation, and updates my "Customer" table with 0 or 1. I imagine Javascript may be a way to go for this but I am not experienced enough (yet!) in Javascript to know how to code it.   I have a set of 100 rows, pretty similar to values which can be selected in a picker. When the user scrolls the table, I want the rows to be appended like an forever-ongoing assembly-belt. So when the user scrolls down and reaches the row 100, and scrolls even further, the table view will show again row 1, and so on. Reverse direction same thing. My thoughts: don't display scroll indicators (they would make not much sense, probably) what value to return in the numberOfRows delegate method? This infinity constant? in cellForRowAtIndexPath: simply wrap the index around when it exceeds bounds?

I do not know Ruby on Rails, and am designing front-end using XHTML, CSS, jQuery, 960.gs CSS Framework. My developer is supposed to take my design and connect the elements of back-end to it, with Ajax too. What are the things that I should know while designing the template/view so that I won't kick my developers' asses with my design? How to help the connecting of elements painless? I understand I must avoid . Some Ruby on Rails developers also prefer Blueprint CSS Framework over 960.gs. Any guidance? Thanks.
