    Firstly I used this call jQuery('#grid').jqGrid('editRow',id,true,pickdates);, it worked fine with UI Datepicker integration, but editRow is implemented for inline editing, but I prefer modal dialog, so I switched to editGridRow, now I can't find the way to call my custom function (pickdates) in onClick-event. My current call is jQuery('#grid').jqGrid('editGridRow',id,{closeOnEscape:true,width:400,savekey:[true,13]}); Thanks Anatoliy

    Can anybody please help me with this as I have no idea why public IHttpHandler GetHttpHandler(RequestContext requestContext) is not executing. From fiddling with reflector I can see that this is generated through HttpException.GetHtmlErrorMessage() but when I try to use this in my exception it returns null.

  • Controller with same name as an area - Asp.Net MVC4

    I have a Contacts controller in the main/top area, and I have an area named "Contacts". I get POST 404s to the Contacts controller if I register my areas before I register my top-level routes: protected void Application_Start() { AreaRegistration.RegisterAllAreas(); ModelBinders.Binders.DefaultBinder = new NullStringBinder(); RouteConfig.RegisterRoutes(RouteTable.Routes); } And, if I register my areas after my routes, my 404s to the Contacts controller goes away, but my routes to the Contacts area are now 404s. ...lots of duplicate controller name questions logged, but I haven't found a specific scenario where the area is the same name as the controller. ...probably an easy fix. Would appreciate help. :-D

But Liferay is still checking whether the same user email id is configured in the liferay db or not. If its not, it is saying that authetication failed.   • How to handle null return from custom HttpHandler in asp.net?

    I'm using a custom ashx HttpHandler to retrieve gif images from a database and show it on a website - when the image exists, it works great. However, there are cases when the image will not exist, and I'd like to have the html table holding the image to become invisible so the "image not found" icon is not shown. But since the HttpHandler is not synchronous, all my attempts checking for image size at Page_Load were frustrated. Any ideas on how this can be accomplished?

  • Routing Error in Chapter 7.1.2 of the Ruby on Rails Tutorial

    I've been working through the tutorial for the past few days, and finally hit a snag in chapter 7. It is in this step where the line in routes.rb: get "users/new" is replaced with resource :users After I do this, I get a routing error when visiting http://localhost:3000/users/1 - No route matches [GET] "/users/1" instead of the other "Unknown Action" error shown here.     I'm using routing in asp.net to get nice URLs When I define routes in global.asax I create two distinct routes that use the same controller (c#): // Setup code for route a... routes.Add("routeb", routea); // Setup code for route b... routes.Add("routeb", routeb); (How) is it possible to determine from within the controller what the "key" value is that directed the user to this controller? Alternatively is the pattern of use wrong - it would be straightforward to subclass the Controller (again) to distinguish between the two and retain common code if that is a more appropriate solution.

There are times that I end up letting the model binder bind part of an object and get the rest out of session at the controller action level. Does it make better sense to bind the entire object from the model binder (e.g. querystring, form, and session)?

  • Why do custom styled Google Maps (v3) not support marker animation (pin drop)?

    For example, I cannot combine the concepts of this simple example: link text with the concepts of this example: link text, which uses the styled V3 api. In Chrome I get an error saying that: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'DROP' of undefined And it refers to this line of code: animation: google.maps.Animation.DROP, When I replace the javascript link reference to use the version of the API from the first example, the error goes away, but I lose the custom styling.
