  • Identify Web Server from HTML File System

    Hi I've been given the following html file system with no knowledge of where it came from. To me this appears to be from a web server. I've been hitting Google on "Sam" smsLtd can't find to much, is this "SAM" a propitiatory web server ? Can I throw this up on an Apache or IIS server ? Reason I ask is there are some xml data files that seem to assign permissions and logins. Figured I'd ask as I have never seen it before.

  • merge values from excel file into .html file opened in word 2007

    I have this newsletter I've written. I want to be able to use the values in the rows and some how have them merged into this html file I have opened in word. Sort of like a mail merge. In the newsletter I have 3 urls that look like: www.mydomain.com/php?id= I want to be able to replace all of the urls for all 230 records in the excel file. With something like: www.mydomain.com/?id=$id Where $id would get replaced with the id of the record. And the same goes for the rest of the rows like $firstname $lastname $email $phone number Is there a simple way to do this?

  • IIS 7.5 doesn't load static html pages

    There is an IIS 7.5 freshly installed on a dedicated server. ASP.NET 4.0 Web app copied to its folder, new website is created on its own IP on post 80, IIS_IUSR and IUSR accounts have read/execute rights on site's folder, the site is assigned to its own Integrated app pool with 4.0 .NET (I tried Classic pool with the same results). The problem: when I try to access this web site, browser only loads content generated by .NET resources such as aspx pages, .axd files, etc. Static images, static js, css and html files are in the page source but IIS doesn't serve them. Dev tools in all browsers complain that all those static resources have been sent by the server with wrong content type (plain text instead of image, styles, etc). What do I do wrong?

    Sorry to ask this... I manage Apache and PHP in my computer. But having installed a lot of things, I've lost track of some of them. (Things I find really useful to have at my job, or to restore in case of emergency). The problem is that I have installed this thing which displays PHP errors in a nice and colored html table, but can't remember what I have installed or configured to get it work like it.   • WINEHQ - wine_gecko won't init - HTML Rendering disabled

    Hello Super Users, I'm currently trying to get a windows compiled program to work through Wine to run on Linux and MacOSX. When I run the program through wine, it prompts me to install Gecko which I do. Later on in the program, it attempts to use MSHTML to render HTML but I get these error messages on my console instead. err:mshtml:init_xpcom NS_InitXPCOM2 failed: 80004005 err:mshtml:HTMLDocument_Create Failed to init Gecko, returning CLASS_E_CLASSNOTAVAILABLE fixme:ole:CoCreateInstance no instance created for interface {00000000-0000-0000-c000-000000000046} of class {25336920-03f9-11cf-8fd0-00aa00686f13}, hres is 0x80040111 I'm using Wine 1.1.34 and a similar bug was supposedly fixed in 1.1.33 http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12578 I've been at this all afternoon, is there anything I'm missing?     A couple of months ago, I configured Firefox to load a local html file containing my commonly-used links whenever I open a new tab This week I've been trying to find where I set this up. I cannot find this setting anywhere in the Firefox options. Somewhere there is (or was) a dialog box with an item that said something like 'Page to load in new tab'. Where was it? Could Mozilla have removed it in the latest upgrade? I'm not using any extensions but LastPass, so it's not controlled by an extension.

    I'm regularly receiving emails from a well-known public website that read as plain text without carriage breaks or effective hyperlinks. My email client is Thunderbird. Thunderbird helpsite doesn't display an answer. And I'm reluctant to complain to the website if the problem is at my end. Message source for headers includes this: Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=--boundary_9338_03b8c925-816e-4b55-95c4-b2593da7e5f6 The content in message source that follows the header is preceded by this: ----boundary_9338_03b8c925-816e-4b55-95c4-b2593da7e5f6 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 The content itself in message source reads typically like this: PCFkb2N0eXBlIGh0bWwgcHVibGljICItLy9XM0MvL0RURCBIVE1MIDQuMCBUcmFuc2l0aW9u YWwvL0VOIj4NCg0KDQo8aHRtbD4NCjxoZWFkPg0KPG1ldGEgaHR0cC1lcXVpdj0iQ29udGVu, etc.,etc. And, as I've said, the message in the viewing pane is unadulterated plain text.     I'm working with Hosted SharePoint 2007 with Forms Server. I need to allow client access to submit HTML forms designed in Infopath. Problem is, I need to make sure the clients don't see the library. There is sensitive data that will be on these forms. I also need to have a repeated library that is based on the Internal Admin records and requirements. Outside of making a seperate library per customer, does anyone have any suggestions? My Goal: 1: Customers enter their requests through a link or provided page 2: Internally address the requests and perform required arrangements, add billing and payment fields 3: Have SharePoint metrics, reports, etc... based on the provided intormation and status. The best I've come up with is try to extend/customize Ruby's httpproxy.rb that comes with Webrick. I would automate the manual login process whenever that login response page is detected. This sounds quite painful, and I think there might/should be simpler options?

    i have a little question. I have a big html file and want to replace lots of things inside a lot of times. The only problem i cant solve is a replace with a variable. Example: <image src="start_files\0002.jpg" style="width:216pt; height:162"> should be transformed in <a href="start_files\0002.jpg" target="_blank"><image src="start_files\0002.jpg" style="width:216pt; height:162"></a> do you have an idea how to do it? I have a windows system with Notepad2 and Notepad++ and i could install a new tool if needed. (like Windows SED). The best solution would be a batch solution where i can add other transformations.   • What is the proper way to URL encode Unicode characters?

    I know of the non-standard %uxxxx scheme but that doesn't seem like a wise choice since the scheme has been rejected by the W3C. Some interesting examples: The heart character. If I type this into my browser: http://www.google.com/search?q=? Then copy and paste it, I see this URL http://www.google.com/search?q=%E2%99%A5 which makes it seem like Firefox (or Safari) is doing this. urllib.quote_plus(x.encode("latin-1")) '%E2%99%A5' which makes sense, except for things that can't be encoded in Latin-1, like the triple dot character. … If I type the URL http://www.google.com/search?q=… into my browser then copy and paste, I get http://www.google.com/search?q=%E2%80%A6 back. Which seems to be the result of doing urllib.quote_plus(x.encode("utf-8")) which makes sense since … can't be encoded with Latin-1. But then its not clear to me how the browser knows whether to decode with UTF-8 or Latin-1. Since this seems to be ambiguous: In [67]: u"…".encode('utf-8').decode('latin-1') Out[67]: u'\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\xa6' works, so I don't know how the browser figures out whether to decode that with UTF-8 or Latin-1. What's the right thing to be doing with the special characters I need to deal with?

The current call I have is: var req = new Request.HTML({update: $('content')}).get('../latest_events'); This updates the content div in my page with the "../latest_events" page. Is there a way to update other divs with the "../latest_events" page using this same call, or do I have to just use separate calls?

    I want to be able to use the .html extension to render ASP pages. I am using Windows CE 6 at the moment with the default web server, ASP is turned on. I have attempted to add the "ScriptMap" (via) key to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMM\HTTPD\ScriptMap subkey with the value ".html"="\Windows\asp.dll" but this doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong?
