• How to setup network for Android Honeycomb in VirtualBox?

  I have been trying to setup Android Honeycomb (3.2) with VirtualBox according to this tutorial: http://androidspin.com/2011/01/24/howto-install-android-x86-2-2-in-virtualbox/ but using this iso instead: http://code.google.com/p/android-x86/downloads/detail?name=android-x86-3.2-RC1-tegav2.iso&can=2&q When I type netcfg if gives me: 127.0.0.1/8, so apparently it is not connecting in the network. I tried setting the network to NAT and Bridge, but no results.. Is there anything I am missing?

• Inserting a WAV at a certain point in an audio file using python

  My problem is the following: I have a 2-minute long WAV file, and my aim is to insert another WAV file (7 seconds long), at a certain point in the first WAV file (say, 0:48), essentially combining the two WAVs, using python. Unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out how to do that, and was wondering if there was some obvious solution that I was missing, or if it is even feasible to do with python. Is there perhaps a library available that might provide a solution? Thanks to all in advance.

• Program crashes after trying to use a recently created file. C#

  So here is my code if (!File.Exists(pathName)) { File.Create(pathName); } StreamWriter outputFile = new StreamWriter(pathName,true); But whenever I run the program the first time the path with file gets created. However once I get to the StreamWriter line my program crashes because it says my fie is in use by another process. Is there something I'm missing between the File.Create and the StreamWriter statements?

  I am trying to authenticate the user after I got credentials using oAuth (with Twitter if that makes a difference). As far as I could understand it, I can directly put the Authentication object into SecurityContextHolder. Here is how I do it: Authentication auth = new TwitterOAuthAuthentication(member, userDetailsService.loadUserByUsername(member.getUsername()).getAuthorities()); SecurityContextHolder.getContext().setAuthentication(auth); This for some reason does absolutely nothing. Looks like I am missing something here because when I run the script, it is only looking for .zqx files in current directory and not all the drives. Please note that the ( dir $paths..) part is returning the list of .zqx files promptly.   hi there! i updated the code from my website to a 'better' veersion i think, it works fine but when i try to implement the friendly URL and load it, works, but with no CSS, Javascript or images, but if i corret the routes for the css to http://website/css/style.css (instead of ./css/style.css) it i do see the CSS properly loaded, any idea why? Example: http://keepyourlinks.com/link1.php?id=25 VS http://keepyourlinks.com/keep/25/series-yonkis (i updated the route of the CSS, but the Javascript is missing an the images asweell) I really would like not to have to correct al routes :(

• passing LIMIT as parameters to MySQL sproc

  I'm creating a paging class and need to pass in two parameters to my MySQL stored procedure for the LIMIT clause. I'm passing them in as INTs and trying something like this SELECT * FROM `MyTable` LIMIT MyFirstParamInt, MySecondParamInt it gives me an error when I try and save the sproc though. Is there a way to do this that I'm just missing? Or am I going to have to EVAL the whole query and EXECUTE it?

However, this doesn't seem very Rails-like and I am wondering if I am missing something conceptually at the HABTM relationship.

• Does changing background color in android destroy the widget's appearance?

  I've noticed that changing the background color of an android widget (f.ex. Button or TextView) by program: myButton.setBackgroundColor(Color.BLUE); makes it to loose its 3D shape, border, and shadows effects, and then appears like a ugly flat square. What am I missing? Sorry for the very naive question but I couldn't get it right although tried for a time.

• collecting a "+" via CGI

  I'm collecting text through a web form and noticing that when it is collected by my PERL CGI all instances of "+" are transformed into " ". I run the text through a javascript escape before submission, but escape seems to leave + unaltered. There must be something really obvious that I'm missing... how do I send the string "2 + 2 = 4" through and not have it arrive as "2 2 = 4" ??
