  • Wikipedia embedded in WinForms App Tutorial

    Can anyone post a tutorial here on how to show a Wikipedia article in a .NET WinForms application (C# or VB)? If the article can be placed in a string it suffices, there`s no need to put it on any control. I found some information on Wikipedia's API. After reading it, I added the reference to web service but can`t find a way to make this work. And if it's possible, explain how images are downloaded from wiki (link or image itself).

  • How can i display a MFC CHtmlView inside a dialog?

    I found a lot of links on the internet for this question but i don't understand their (partial) solutions. One of the main problems seems that i'm builing all dialogs by hand without dialog resource files or the Visual Studio Application Wizards. So i would need pure C++ code that i can type into my Editor. There is also some reference to a "CWebBrowser2" control, but a grep on the VC directory does not give me any results, so where can i find this?

    I tagged this question "impossible" because after a lot of googling, i have not find any trace\reference to a possible answer. I'm asking if there is some way\dirtytrick (possibly cheap) to access Microsoft Sql Server from z/OS mainframe (COBOL programs) and have the result in 3270 terminal emulation; i know that 3270 is a pretty old system, but in bank CED, is still very popular.

  • IIS7 Request Mapping, File Extensions

    I have a website that used to have .dsp file extensions for all pages. There are alot of other sites referencing mine that reference the pages like that, but my pages are all actually .aspx pages. In IIS5, I was able to configure this to work. My problem is I've recently switched from IIS5 to IIS7, and I have no idea how to map these requests (.dsp) to the real file (.aspx) without the server telling me the file doesn't exist.

Would appreciate if you could point me what I am missing here.

    Hi all, I wish to create a view like <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<System.DateTime?>" %> but I get an error saying that DateTime must be a reference type in order to use for parameter TModel. Fair enough, but I google plenty of examples that implement just what I try to achieve. Any clues as to what I need to change/install/update? Any comments welcome, Anders, Denmark

  • OSGI classcast exception on felix

    Hi, i'm fairly new to osgi and am trying to get a functional proof of concept together. The setup is that my common api is created in a bundle creatively named common-api.jar with no bundle activator, but it exports all it's interfaces. the one of interest in this situation is DatabaseService.java. I then have a Second bundle called systemx-database-service. That implements the database service interface. this works fine as in the activator of the implementation bundle i test the connection to the database and select some arbitraty values. I also register the service i want to be available to the other bundle's like so: context.registerService(DatabaseService.class.getName(), new SystemDatabaseServiceImpl(context), new Properties()); The basic idea being when you look for a service reference for a Database service you'll get back the SystemDatabaseService implementation. When i do a inspect service the output it this: -> inspect s c 69 System Database Service (69) provides services: ---------------------------------------------- objectClass = za.co.xxx.xxx.common.api.DatabaseService service.id = 39 which would lead me to believe that if i do this in a test bundle: context.getService(context.getServiceReference(DatabaseService.class)); i should get back an instance of DatabaseService.class, but alas no such luck. it simply seems like it cannot find the service. stick with me here my story gets stranger. figuring there is no where to go but up i wrote this monstrosity: for (Bundle bundle : bundles) { if (bundle.getSymbolicName().equals("za.co.xxx.xxx.database-service")) { ServiceReference[] registeredServices = bundle.getRegisteredServices(); for (ServiceReference ref : registeredServices) { DatabaseService service = (DatabaseService) context.getService(ref); // use service here. } } } } now i can actually see the service reference, but i get this error java.lang.ClassCastException: za.co.xxx.xxx.database.service.impl.SystemDatabaseServiceImpl cannot be cast to za.co.xxx.xx.common.api.DatabaseService which is crazy since the implementation clearly implements the interface! Any help would be appreciated. Please keep in mind i'm very new at the osgi way of thinking so my whole approach here might be flawed. oh. if anyone wants the manifests i can post them. and i'm using the maven-bnd-plugin to build and executing on felix. thanks Nico

  • What would cause my Silverlight .xap to quadruple in size suddenly?

    I've been working on a Silverlight application. I just noticed that the .xap file is now four times as big as it was, what could have caused that? Here's some other info: there seems to now be many more language settings in the bin/Release directory I checked "Reduce size of .xap" in under Properties/Silverlight but that just brought it down from 1300 to 1200.     I've been studying DDD for the past 2 weeks, and one of the things that really stuck out to me was how aggregate roots can contain other aggregate roots. Aggregate roots are retrieved from the repository, but if a root contains another root, does the repository have a reference to the other repository and asks it to build the subroot?

  • Mootools - how to destroy a class instance

    What I'm trying to do is create a class that I can quickly attach to links, that will fetch and display a thumbnail preview of the document being linked to. Now, I am focusing on ease of use and portability here, I want to simply add a mouseover event to links like this: <a href="some-document.pdf" onmouseover="new TestClass(this)">Testing</a> I realize there are other ways I can go about this that would solve my issue here, and I may end up having to do that, but right now my goal is to implement this as above. I don't want to manually add a mouseout event to each link, and I don't want code anywhere other than within the class (and the mouseover event creating the class instance). The class instance also remains in memory indefinitely. On mouseout I need to remove the mouseout event and destroy the class instance, so on subsequent mouseovers we are starting fresh.

  • Common DataAnnotations in ASP.Net MVC2

    Howdy, I have what should be a simple question. I have a set of validations that use System.CompontentModel.DataAnnotations . I have some validations that are specific to certain view models, so I'm comfortable with having the validation code in the same file as my models (as in the default AccountModels.cs file that ships with MVC2). But I have some common validations that apply to several models as well (valid email address format for example). When I cut/paste that validation to the second model that needs it, of course I get a duplicate definition error because they're in the same namespace (projectName.Models). So I thought of removing the common validations to a separate class within the namespace, expecting that all of my view models would be able to access the validations from there. Unexpectedly, the validations are no longer accessible. I've verified that they are still in the same namespace, and they are all public. I wouldn't expect that I would have to have any specific reference to them (tried adding using statement for the same namespace, but that didn't resolve it, and via the add references dialog, a project can't reference itself (makes sense). So any idea why public validations that have simply been moved to another file in the same namespace aren't visible to my models?     Hi, In eZ publish at the moment Im using the following in image.ini.append.php [largepic] Reference= Filters[] Filters[]=geometry/scale=580;270 Which does work fine. However for testing purposes I want to resize the image, scaling it up if needed - the image will be 580x270, even if the original image was lower dimension. Thanks.

    Hello, How to do bind data from DataTable to Chart series? I get null reference exception. I tried binding with square brackets and it did not worked either. So, how to do the binding? Thanks. P.S: I included DataGrid XAML and CS which works just fine. Converting data to List<KeyValuePair<string,int>> works good but it is kinda slow and is unnessesary trash in code. While working on PNG, i understood that it uses CRC-32 for generating checksum for each chunk.   • Persist header data across reply emails

    Am trying to determine the best way to persist information from an originating email, through to a reply back. Essentially, it is to pass a GUID from the original email (c#), whereby when the receiver replies back, that GUID is also sent back for reference. I have tried setting the MessageID, whereby using Outlook, the In-Reply-To value is set with the original ID, however using some webclient email systems, that value is not created on reply. Is there another way to sent this info through email headers?
